Chapter 908: Chapter 57: Both German Teams Annihilated
Xu Changtai’s West Lake Longjing Tea team consisted of fifteen people. Aside from the Third-order Huangfu Xiong and Second-order Yaoyao, there were ten other university students, a peddler, and a driver. Their strength was decent. When they saw the Heavenly Eye in the sky and the immense Steel Sky, they immediately moved towards Tang Zheng’s battlefield.
"Whose ability is this? Clearing the area with such range, it’s terrifying!" Yaoyao watched in awe as the Heavenly Eye floated above, continuously gathering energy and shooting beams of light, almost popping her eyes out. This was her first time witnessing such a powerful mass-killing skill. However, the next moment, she was shocked once more by the presence of the Steel Sky.
Like a steel barrier covering the sky, etched with metallic patterns rich in texture, it unfolded to release the gruesomely shaped Kirov Airships, dropping heavy bombs, launching missiles. And that wasn’t all; at its center, amidst mechanical noises, it assembled an Orbital Cannon, its thick blue-white plasma beams seemed capable of piercing through Earth itself.
"Such sharp Seed abilities, this is at least the standard of a Third-order Conqueror," commented Huangfu Xiong admiringly. His Floating Shuttles were useful for one-on-one combat; even a Fourth Order might have a fighting chance, but when it came to mass-killing efficiency, they were nowhere near as formidable as the two powers in the sky.
"No matter who is fighting, as long as they handle it well, they can surely make a killing," Xu Changtai, slightly overweight, pressed on the accelerator with an easy-going demeanor. He was confident because he was a Fourth Order seed blaster who had activated Hero Mode.
As Xu Changtai daydreamed about the benefits he could reap, he turned a corner, and two Armored Vehicles burst out from a side road on the right, almost colliding with him.
At first glance, the 30mm Machine Gun of the Armored Vehicle swiveled towards them, furiously spewing cannon shells.
Xu Changtai swerved the steering wheel sharply to dodge, making an S-shape and darting off at an angle.
The aproned woman’s shooting skills and reaction time were superb. Once she saw the driving skills of the other side, she knew she was dealing with Conquerors, and there was no way she could claim any war results. So she immediately targeted the Armored Humvee behind, and the Machine Gun roared.
Bang, bang, amidst the intense sounds of bombardment, not a single shell missed, all striking the Humvee, piercing its armor.
Inside the Humvee, it instantly turned into a blood and flesh grinder. The explosion’s shockwave and the shrapnel, like a metal heavy rain, began taking lives mercilessly inside the vehicle.
The peddler didn’t even grunt before a piece of shrapnel entered his eye socket, embedded itself into the brain, instantly killing him. Thud, he fell over a university girl, followed by several more pieces of shrapnel whistling towards him, burrowing into his body.
The university girl, splattered with blood, screamed in horror, but because the peddler’s body sheltered her, she miraculously survived; the other six were not so lucky, hit by the metal fragments, their throats issued out pitiful screams.
Thanks to their Protective Clothing, they didn’t die right away and could have been saved with prompt medical treatment. Unfortunately, they encountered the expert shooting aproned woman and suffered an even more tragic fate.
The Machine Gun never stopped firing. The aproned woman didn’t miss a single shot; within tens of seconds, she bombarded the Humvee with hundreds of shells. The whole armored vehicle was riddled with holes, reduced to scrap metal, allowing a direct view of the ghastly scene inside.
Other than the severely injured female student trapped below everyone else, everyone else died, their bodies blown into broken flesh, spattering the entire cabin, with blood flowing through the gaps of the vehicle doors.
Xu Changtai didn’t want to engage in combat with the enemy; he wanted to drive away and take advantage. But the other party kept a tight chase behind him, with the Machine Gun firing and smashing his tires.
The West Lake Longjing Tea team had never cared much about newbies, so the severely injured university girl, fearful and bleeding out, died.
Fleischer was a Fourth Order, perhaps being a wanderer affected his thinking, he was quite indifferent to everything. He never thought about being the hunter who waits for the opportunity. Seeing an enemy, he just wanted to massacre. If he had known that Xu Changtai on the other side was also a Fourth Order, he might have considered the consequences of the fight a bit more.
"Damn it, isn’t this over yet?" Xu Changtai was furious. He opened the car door and jumped out, always vigilant; he observed before engaging in a fight. This hesitation, however, cost Yaoyao her life.
Seeing the enemy’s Humvee damaged and stopped, Fleischer lunged out without any probing, attacking straight on.
Roar, with a roar, the former wanderer, now the captain of the Germany team, activated his Third Order ability, instantly growing in size and turning into a towering werewolf, leaping over a distance of more than ten meters, and with a thud, landing on top of the Humvee.
Yaoyao opened her car door to come out, not having spotted the enemy yet, when she caught a glimpse of a fist hurtling from the side. Just as she was about to dodge, a roar rang out, shaking her into a stun, her eardrums nearly bursting.
The other newbies fared even worse, with blood even flowing from their ears; this was Fleischer’s evolved ability, the Great Wolf’s howl, capable of stunning the enemy and inflicting a mild mental impact.
Thump, Fleischer smashed Yaoyao’s head with a single blow, her headless body tumbling out like a broken sack.
Huangfu Xiong’s head was also dizzy, but he had a decent resistance to impact and was not the primary target.
Fleischer wasn’t stupid, Yaoyao, dressed in a Unicorn, was a Conqueror of moderate strength, naturally his first target to kill. Not only to reduce trouble but also to lower enemy morale.
"Damn!" Seeing Yaoyao die, Xu Changtai was enraged. He burst into his Seed Ability, engaged his power, and faced off with Fleischer, "You go kill that German woman."
"Hmph!" Huangfu Xiong leaned forward, bursting out, and at the same time, the air around him rippled as ten Floating Shuttles shot out, hovering over the top of the German team’s Armored Vehicle.
Zzz, zzz, zzz, light beams shot out.
The apron-clad woman had already jumped down, and at this moment, there were still six German newbies jumping out when they were struck. They were instantly dismembered, their bodies shattered into chunks.
The Wanderers team also had fifteen people. Apart from Fleischer and the apron-clad woman, there were seven remaining neo-Nazis and six air hostesses, including Bertha, who had won the Thunderstorm rifle in the newbie confrontation.
Seeing Huangfu Xiong, the apron-clad woman was immediately invigorated and turned to run towards Fleischer. She hadn’t forgotten that this man possessed Hellfire, clearly not something she, a Second-order, could handle.
Huangfu Xiong couldn’t be bothered with her and began massacring the newbies. The Floating Shuttles scattered and bombarded, spinning as they fired beams like military knives, slashing the air hostesses.
An air hostess, panting heavily, fled in a sorry state, but the next moment realized she had lost her lower half. Turning back, she saw her lower half had been cleanly cut off and left behind. Whoosh, as her momentum vanished, she fell to the ground, her viscera scattered everywhere.
The other newbies couldn’t escape their fate either, all bombed to death by Huangfu Xiong.
"Group Leader, let’s go, we can’t win this fight," the apron-clad woman called out as a reminder, taking out a Heavy Gravity Gun and killing the West Lake Longjing Tea team’s newbies.
The black Gravity Balls shot out, hitting the newbies trying to leave the battlefield with precision, blasting them into broken flesh. This encounter was that cruel—those who were weak and targeted were instantly killed.
With this, all the newbies from both sides were lost, and the battle heated up even more. Xu Changtai, seeing that the apron-clad woman was strong outwardly but weak inwardly, immediately exchanged a look with Huangfu Xiong and decided to join forces to kill them. Otherwise, they’d have to fight another round when the beneficiary jumped out later. Better to decide the victory now.
...
On the main battlefield, several university students shivered and stayed put, trying to avoid the Conquerors’ gaze. They hadn’t dared to take part in the battle against the German newbies. Two German air hostesses cried and squatted on the ground, wanting to escape but trapped by Lu Fan’s Desert Cage.
"What about them? Break their legs and throw them away?" Pang Meiqin gestured with her chin towards them and asked Dantai, clearly intending to make the special agents the scapegoats.
"Throw them out when the next batch of bugs comes," Dantai said without mercy, sealing the two air hostesses’ death sentence. The university students sighed with relief upon hearing this, grateful their team had won, otherwise, they would have been the ones to die.
"What a bunch of waste," cursed Pang Meiqin. She picked up a telescope and looked towards the battle in the distance. "Should some of us go help? Eh, what’s that noise over there? It looks like someone is fighting?"
Suddenly, there was a thunderous noise a hundred meters away, a building collapsed, drawing Pang Meiqin’s attention.
"No need, let’s move," Dantai glanced over the wounded members of their group, decided to play it safe. After all, once Tang Zheng was recovered, future battles would be much easier.
With Xu Biyun and Ruan Feifei joining the battlefield, the German newbies’ defensive line collapsed, and their morale totally crumbled. The gamer girl with a Thunderstorm assault rifle, covered by puppet meat shields, charged forward, killing every newbie she encountered.
Even those hiding behind shelters couldn’t help—Thunderballs and Combat Puppets could blast through walls to kill them. As for Ruan Feifei’s electric current, it was simply unstoppable—wherever it went, charred corpses were left behind.
"Sharp," the left squad leader watched the two women sweep the battlefield with absolute advantage, filled with admiration. He, too, desired superpowers.
Shen Qingshuang ran to the neo-Nazis killed, picked up a Space Backpack and began to search through their pockets.
"Stop searching, take the newbies and leave, we’re pulling out," Xu Biyun called out, stopping Shen Qingshuang.
...
Five minutes later, it was all over, Tang Zheng and others withdrew, and he was also aware that Chen Hong had been killed.
"Chen Hong sent out a message with her dying breath, calling everyone to save you, it wasn’t a waste of your care for her for so long," Dantai sighed. Not daring to mention Cheng Cheng’s death, he added, "Don’t worry, I’ll arrange for someone to collect her body."
Creak, an Armored Humvee burst diagonally, blocking Tang Zheng’s fleet. A battered Xu Changtai got out, his face grim as he scrutinized the damage to the entire fleet.
"Impossible, the Warhammer team only had one Third-order; how did they win? The other side even had a Fourth-order!" Huangfu Xiong broke his head trying to understand what happened in this battle. Just a while ago, the Blue Trojan gave a new hint on the handheld game console—Landeck’s star team was completely wiped out and exited the game, and Fleischer’s Wanderers team was left with only three people.
