Chapter 781 - 44 Continuous Death

Chapter 781: Chapter 44 Continuous Death

The widespread blackout throughout Tokyo City continued, and the city drenched in heavy rain seemed dim and gloomy, permeated by an ominous aura of death.

The black Lexus, like a shark, navigated through the silent streets. On the ten-minute drive, aside from a group of delinquents smashing up a gold store, Tang Zheng didn’t see a single pedestrian.

Tang Zheng first arrived at Sha Ou’s hideout in a McDonald’s restaurant, but it was empty when he pushed the door open.

"They’re really cautious." Tang Zheng glanced around the lobby, felt the dust on the table, then stood at the entrance looking at the building across the street.

"Boss, Tang Zheng is here," said Li Bo, who was stationed on the fifth floor by the floor-to-ceiling window, overseeing the situation on the main street. As soon as he saw Tang Zheng, he alerted everyone.

The four gangsters who were playing poker stood up immediately and gathered at the window.

"Yo, Lexus, nice car, but what is he here for?" Old Wang asked in confusion. He jumped when Tang Zheng glanced in their direction and quickly retreated from the window, followed by the others.

"What are you scared of? He can’t see us in this heavy rain," Sha Ou complained, although he too wondered about the reason for Tang Zheng’s visit.

The five gangsters knew the principle of having multiple escape routes. When initially asked by Tang Zheng about their hideout, they didn’t dare not answer, but instead provided a false location. Even if Tang Zheng was a good leader, they weren’t willing to reveal all their cards.

"Brother Ou, what should we do? Should we meet him?" The short-haired gangster didn’t think Tang Zheng was visiting for a casual chat. There must be something up.

"Hurry up, let’s continue the game. I haven’t played my pair of kings yet," the beefy man in a leather jacket, who lost interest after a few glances, returned to the table and urged everyone to continue.

Tang Zheng guessed that the gangsters were in the building across the street, watching the McDonald’s. However, he couldn’t be bothered to find them. He wrote a few sentences on a note, waved it towards the other side of the street, then stuck it on the door before he left in his car.

"He knows we’re here," Old Wang complained. No matter how cunning they were, they couldn’t fool him. It made them feel petty.

"Bo, go get the note," Sha Ou regretted slightly, as Tang Zheng had clearly guessed their intentions, and he wondered if he now carried a grudge.

"Alright." Li Bo flexed his muscles and was about to leave when a Shadow Demon Ninja suddenly appeared from the ceiling. With his legs firmly pressed against the ceiling, he quickly shot downwards, holding a Ninja Blade and aimed at the gangster in the leather jacket holding a poker hand.

"Watch out!" Li Bo shouted a warning and reached for the Luger Pistol stuck in his belt.

As the ninja plummeted, his flagging wind pressure scattered the playing cards, which then fluttered in the air like snowflakes. The gangster in the leather jacket panicked and tried to retreat while pulling out the handgun hidden in his jacket, but was inevitably a step slower.

With a squelch, the gangster’s head, like a candied hawthorn, was pierced straight through by the falling ninja blade. After smashing the tabletop, it pinned onto the floor. Blood spurted out, and his body twitched reflexively. It was clear that he wouldn’t survive.

"Laodun!" Sha Ou roared in anger, lifting his gun to fire. The Shadow Demon Ninja moved like a ghost, rapidly dashing towards the corpse.

Although Old Wang and the short-haired gangster stayed calm, they were sweating profusely, their breathing became rapid, and they were also scared.

In an instant, the room was filled with the sound of gunfire.

"Boss, use your superpowers," Li Bo, in mid-shout, reminded Sha Ou.

"I forgot," Sha Ou regretted bitterly. He waved his hand, telekinesis swept across the room, and everything, including the lamp, bed, tables, chairs, and even the gangster’s corpse, flew toward the Shadow Demon Ninja.

There was nowhere to dodge. The ninja was buried, but he quickly disintegrated into a black mist and escaped, then reformed on the ceiling.

After Sha Ou received the Black Iron Seed from Tang Zheng, he immediately activated his ability. However, he didn’t use it often, and in times of crisis, his instincts were still to grab his gun.

"Die!" The death of his good friend infuriated Sha Ou. He was not yet familiar with his power, so he went all out. Telekinesis swept across the room, causing the ceiling to rapidly collapse, trying to crush the Shadow Demon Ninja.

"So powerful." Watching the debris, being drawn by Sha Ou’s control, all smashing towards the Shadow Demon Ninja, Li Bo was extremely envious and could hardly wait to have superpowers of his own.

"You guys, get out. I’ll handle this." Sha Ou was afraid of hurting his friends by accident, though he was also full of confidence and felt as if he could take on the world.

Under the formidable telekinetic force, objects were pulled and hurled towards the shadow. The scene was as if the ninja was a magnet that couldn’t escape the attack.

Three minutes later, the entire bedroom was destroyed, but Sha Ou had killed the Shadow Demon Ninja.

"Brother Ou, impressive." Old Wang complimented, then walked over to Old Dun, looked at the gash on his head, and sighed.

"Ah, Tang Zheng must have come to warn us. If we had let him up, Old Dun wouldn’t have died." The short-haired gangster guessed Tang Zheng’s intention, feeling frustrated. Because they were wary of others, they ended up killing one of their own.

"Don’t be sad. In this line of work, death is inevitable, it’s just a matter of time." Sha Ou comforted his companion, but deep inside he agreed with Tang Zheng’s words. If he could clear his name when he returned from the game, he would do everything to help Old Wang and the others. However, his thoughts were soon interrupted by an intense wave of dizziness that caused him to collapse to the floor.

This was the first time Sha Ou used his ability and it consumed too much of his life energy. He needed to sleep for at least ten hours.

After the Lip Ring Girl escaped, she bumped into Dongzi and they joined together. When the day of judgment ended, she tried to rely on Gu Xueqi again, hoping to use her powers, but was coldly refused. In the end, under the condition of no one sheltering her, she followed Li Xinlan instinctively. She didn’t trust the other Conquerors.

Dongzi also chose to stay close to the mature woman. In his view, this woman was the most gentle, most quiet, and least threatening. Therefore, when they were attacked by a Shadow Demon Ninja, they survived relying on the powerful Li Xinlan.

Four leaders, including the billionaire Li Hongda, and an internet cafe owner Liu Gang, six people had to form a temporary alliance. As they were all aged about forty, along with their habitual social activities and pleasure-seeking habits, their physical strength was greatly diminished. They lacked combat power and also wanted their voices to be heard. Consequently, they were expelled by the Students’ Union team led by Song Huiqiao.

The six of them had no choice, after careful consideration, they decided to go find Xu Liangmao, the miserable man. Despite being a conqueror, his honesty made it hard for people to fear him, which made the leaders feel bad if they didn’t take advantage of him.

Xu Liangmao didn’t say anything, allowing them to follow him. However, no matter how they tried to start a discussions, made promises, or talked about working for the government, Xu Liangmao gave no response, like a quiet gourd.

"Old Xu, you need to communicate more. You won’t make friends if you don’t." The leader with the wig sat next to Xu Liangmao in the sofa, wondering how to fool him out of the hard-earned soul shards. "Look at how miserable you look . Life must be tough for you. When we get back to reality, I’ll introduce some college girls to you, for relaxation." If it wasn’t about a good job, then it must be about women. The leader with the wig didn’t believe the miserable Old Xu could resist. He had seen the pictures of Xu’s family. His daughter was very beautiful, and his wife was decent. He didn’t believe that such an extremely ordinary man who knew nothing about romanticism could maintain a loyal relationship - there must be a shade of green on his head.

"Get away from me." Xu Liangmao frowned, he didn’t appreciate such talk. Nevertheless, due to to the honest personality that he cultivated for decades, while he was angry, he did not resort to violence.

"Hahaha, why are you angry? These things are very common." The wigged leader laughed, patting Xu Liangmao’s shoulder, "It’s consensual, not against the law. Let me tell you, the skin of these college students, so delicate.."

Xu Liangmao suddenly stood up, clenched his right fist, and fiercely hit the wigged leader’s chin, instantly the sound of a fracture erupted.

The wigged leader rolled out, his jaw almost dislocated. Blood and saliva flowed out, dripping onto the carpet.

"It’s because of you bastards that all these sordid rules have been made. Otherwise, why would these girls devalue themselves?" Thinking of his lovely twin daughters, Xu Liangmao felt as if his chest was filled with anger. He rushed out, ruthlessly kicking at the greasy face of the wigged leader with his large feet.

"Stop it, stop it." The wigged leader’s wig was crooked, he held his head and dodged. His teeth had been knocked out, his mouth was full of blood, and he howled in pain.

"Old Xu, stop it. You’re going to kill him." A leader with a garlic-shaped nose advised casually. It was clear that he was perfunctory and had no intention of intervening. He also felt that it was a disgrace to team up with the wigged man. Some things could be done but should not be spoken out loud.

The bald leader, who had already been beaten by Tang Zheng, was dangling his legs, sitting on the sofa. He didn’t say a word, but through Xu Liangmao’s words and deeds, he was analyzing Xu. After being fooled once, the bald leader began to adapt better to the game.

Li Hongda didn’t care; he kept distance. Liu Gang was keen to get into the good books of these officials, so he stood up to mediate between Xu Liangmao but as soon as he called out the name, a Shadow Demon Ninja descended from the ceiling, clutching a Ninja Blade, heading straight for the reclining leader on the sofa, who had remained silent the whole time.

Without any suspense, the Ninja Blade pierced his chest. Then it was pulled by the Shadow Demon, cutting his neck and head into two halves. Blood splashed everywhere, and pieces of flesh flew around.

Seeing his dissected body slump to the edge of the sofa, revealing various viscera, the leaders’ eyes bulged out, on the verge of throwing up. The room was filled with a heavy smell of blood.

"Help!" Chaos ensued in the room.

Xu Liangmao left the wigged leader be, transformed into a beast, and lunged at the Shadow Demon. The honest man didn’t bother to probe the enemy’s strength as he was sure to kill him and get the soul shards.

Three minutes later, the Shadow Demon Ninja was beaten to death by brute force. Watching Xu Liangmao, with blood-stained hands, pick up the soul shards, the remaining five people’s eyes were filled with avarice. The unlucky ghost who was killed didn’t concern them. Neither did they feel grateful for Xu Liangmao’s saving their lives.

At this moment, everyone was thinking of ways to frame Xu Liangmao.
