Chapter 714: Chapter 56: Violent Suppression
Hearing the sound of Tang Zheng leaving, all the newbies of the Trojan Squad ran out, nervously watching him. They were afraid enough and didn’t want to step away from Tang Zheng as that would make them feel insecure, except the armless young woman and her daughter who were too tired to get up.
"What are you doing? Go rest." Chen Hong waved her hand, not wanting these people to stick around Tang Zheng.
"If you’re not tired, come with me then." Tang Zheng didn’t care. Thankfully, Qin Yan and the others didn’t follow the newbies in their madness. As conquerors, they always seize every opportunity to replenish their strength and sleep, because you never know when the next chance to rest will come.
Zhuo Lie, injured by the queen’s clone, was quite agitated. Even though he had received treatment, his combat effectiveness had been reduced by 20%. This made him extremely irritable. He detests everyone, even those who blew up the checkpoint and drove the Bumblebee straight in. The fully armed soldiers were all ready, aiming at them, ready to capture them at any time.
Zhuo Lie snorted with a disdainful expression. He bent over, pulled the broken body of the queen’s clone out of the carriage, and threw it on the ground.
The soldiers were immediately dumbfounded, their eyes nearly popping out. The way they looked at Zhuo Lie was filled with awe.
Leaning against the Bumblebee, Yi Ting intentionally straightened her chest and abdomen to show off her curves. She was casually fixing her nails. Upon seeing Tang Zheng’s arrival, her face immediately broke into a smile and she greeted him.
"You dare to come out?" Zhuo Lie glared at Tang Zheng, his fists clenched and his knuckles popped.
"Why not? You’re not a catastrophic beast." Tang Zheng glared back defiantly. Facing the third-order explosive type conqueror, he showed no fear, and his momentum soared higher.
The rookies behind Tang Zheng held their breath and lowered their heads as Zhuo Lie’s murderous gaze swept over them, fearing to provoke him.
The soldiers looked at Tang Zheng in surprise, their gazes shifting between him and Zhuo Lie.
"This guy must be a fool. He even challenges the one who killed the queen’s clone?"
"His brain must be broken, or he’s pretending to be a wolf."
"Bullshit, he can operate the power armor skillfully in ten seconds. Can you idiots figure it out?"
The soldiers were arguing, setting up wagers, most of them believed that Tang Zheng would be knocked down.
"Good, very good!" Zhuo Lie took a step forward, subtly glanced at Zi Xin in the corner of his eye, and the moment he saw him nod slightly, he threw himself at Tang Zheng like an enraged brown bear.
Tang Zheng gave a roar, squatted slightly, and thrusted himself at Zhuo Lie without showing any weakness.
Zhuo Lie clenched his fists and directed them at Tang Zheng’s face. The latter also clenched his fists,, hammering them out like a siege hammer.
Bang, bang, bang, the four fists continuously collided, producing a series of explosive sounds due to their speed. The onlookers saw nothing but afterimages of their arms. As their force grew greater, visible ripples began to appear in the air where their fists collided, spreading outwards one after another.
Zhuo Lie roared continuously, hoping to stimulate Tang Zheng’s nerves and distract him. Suddenly, he changed his fist to palm, grabbed Tang Zheng’s arm, pulled it towards him, raised his right knee, and heavily slammed it towards Tang Zheng’s crotch.
Tang Zheng grabbed Zhuo Lie’s arm in return, raised his right leg with a bang to block it, then exploded forth, repeatedly bending his legs and slamming them into Zhuo Lie’s abdomen like a windmill.
Zhuo Lie was a hot-tempered man with a violent demeanor, he preferred relentless attack to defense.
Boom, boom, the offense of both was extremely explosive. The outburst of their full-power caused the ground to shatter into a spider-web pattern with each step they took. The surrounding dust swept up by the shockwaves made the fight look even more brutal.
The soldiers watched with their scalp tingling. The ground was made of cement and though it had weathered over the years, one would not expect it to easily shatter under their feet.
"These two are simply too terrifying." The soldiers felt their chests tighten when they saw fist-sized chunks of cement shattered into powder upon collision with the men’s knees. If this were to hit a person, it would undoubtedly result in shattered bones.
Zhuo Lie initially wanted to teach Tang Zheng a lesson, but he didn’t expect him to be so tenacious. Unable to handle a second-order explosion seed, coupled with the attitude of the onlookers, he felt humiliated. Subsequently, his actual wrath was ignited, leading him to enter his explosion seed state.
"So, nothing much to lose from killing him, huh?" Zhuo Lie got distracted, glanced over Dantai’s group with an absent mind. Killing Tang Zheng would cost a thousand points, but the rewards definitely outweighed the costs. The sorts of strong parties like him only bother greeting you if they have three or four S-grade artifacts on them.
Tang Zheng sensed Zhuo Lie’s murderous intent, and as if compelled by his aggressive attack, he too entered an explosive state.
The bodies of these two men were shrouded in a pale red mist, their strength amplified over thirty times, making their battle momentum even wilder and the destruction they caused even greater.
Every clash caused a sonic boom in the air, nearly tearing everyone’s eardrums and forcing them to retreat. The surrounding ground was utterly destroyed and turned into slush, with debris flying everywhere.
"I’m actually being suppressed? The explosive state of an ordinary conqueror can improve physical fitness by fifteen to twenty times at most. I can reach thirty times, but this guy seems to have raised it to a terrifying thirty-four to thirty-five times -- almost equal to the strength of some people’s second-order explosive state." Zhuo Lie, feeling the oppressive force of Tang Zheng’s punches, showed no change in his expression, but his heart was taken aback. He no longer hesitated and launched the Moon Blade.
Even some changes in his demeanor were avoided as much as possible by Zhuo Lie to not give his opponent an opportunity to interpret any intelligence. But just as Zhuo Lie figured that Tang Zheng would definitely be cut, and was considering how to follow up the attack, Tang Zheng suddenly tilted his head and dodged the Moon Blade. He took the Moon Blade with his shoulder, and a crescent arc shot out from his waist, slashing toward Zhuo Lie’s chest.
"Moon Blade?" Zhuo Lie was shocked. But it was too late to dodge; the sure hit Moon Blade hit right in his chest. Because he was wearing the S-Class Firefly Protective Clothing, he couldn’t completely resist the power of the S-Class Weapons, so he got a scratch.
"You treacherous bastard, I am going to slaughter you." Although the wound was only seeping some fresh blood, Zhuo Lie’s pride and self-confidence had taken a significant hit, he roared, and activated the Steel Barrier.
The soldiers were shocked. In this round, Zhuo Lie had surprisingly ended up at a disadvantage. The silver crescent-shaped blade that hit Tang Zheng’s shoulder didn’t manage to make even incision.
"Hmph, big-mouthed." Tang Zheng scoffed at Zhuo Lie’s bragging. He already had two Moon Blades. How could he not understand their attack characteristics? Moreover, in a fight with a conqueror like Zhuo Lie, the weakly defended head would inevitably be the focus of protection. As for his body, without SS-level weapons, the other party wouldn’t dream of piercing the Tyrannosaurus Protective Clothing and striking a sure kill.
"Damn, damn!" Zhuo Lie roared repeatedly, his attacks became more and more fierce. With a shake of his arm, two curved knives appeared in his hands, slashing at Tang Zheng’s skull.
Tang Zheng’s fists slammed into Zhuo Lie’s body, immediately feeling the strength of the Steel Barrier. He couldn’t break the opponent’s defense. But after hesitating for a moment, he didn’t summon the generals to smash him with brute force. Instead, he took out the Snow Maru and Dragon Bone Curved Blade and fought him blow for blow.
"Why don’t you use your abilities?" Although Zhuo Lie managed to suppress Tang Zheng after activating his abilities, he knew he was outmatched. The opponent was more than he could handle and killing him would definitely take a lot of effort. He had secret moves, but he couldn’t use them because the newbies on the opposite side all picked up the weapons and aimed at him, and the Conquerors started running over here, directly targeting him after hearing the commotion below.
On Tang Zheng’s side, there were more than twenty people. On his own side, there were only four. Yi Ting adopted a neutral stance, and Old Zhou had the attitude of a freeloader. Zhuo Lie inevitably felt depressed. His team fell short in many ways, he was battered and beaten. He hadn’t expected to take the initiative to make a move, intending to intimidate them, but in the end, he put himself in a stalemate. Hence, Zhuo Lie, who was in a desperate situation, started envying Tang Zheng’s popularity. Why didn’t he have a bunch of trustworthy subordinates?!
"Did Zhou Xiong die? I knew it, sooner or later you would be his end." Tang Zheng looked at a boy with a calm face who went by Zi Xin. Taking the situation seriously, he began to shift from offense to defense. Zhuo Lie was too difficult to deal with and couldn’t be killed for the time being. Besides, keeping him could contribute a bit in killing the queen bee. This was also why he didn’t release the second Moon Blade. He wanted to keep it to make a surprise attack.
Zhuo Lie was unable to take down Tang Zheng with his aggressive attacks and began to consider yielding. After all, as a conqueror who had survived for more than a dozen battles, he certainly had enough courage and decisiveness. Moreover, Zi Xin didn’t speak a word, which meant the situation was hopeless.
"Everyone, stop!" The commander made his move. The powerful attacking power of these two men made his heart palpitate, but it also inspired him to kill the queen bee, so the loss of one would upset him.
Given the chance to stand down, both parties naturally backed off, but the soldiers were not satisfied. Particularly the large group who bet that Zhuo Lie would win, they all booed and made gestures, showing their contempt for Zhuo Lie.
The color of Zhuo Lie’s face turned iron blue with anger, but he endured it. He grabbed an object and threw it in front of the commander.
"How about it? Lieutenant Parker, do you still want to have a match?" Lieutenant Colonel Pang Ke smiled, throwing Parker a jab.
"Why not?" Parker knew if he backed down now, he would never be able to hold his head high for the rest of his life. However, having seen Tang Zheng’s fighting style, he believed that even without using only his body, he could completely annihilate one power armor.
It was nightfall, the lights in the team base came on, and the commander led everyone to the training field. Some residents who had nothing to do after dinner also came to join in the fun, even starting a betting pool.
After the recent fight, although Tang Zheng’s odds dropped a bit, the spectators didn’t believe he could dismantle a power armor barehanded.
"What’s their name? And how many do you have left in reserve? I can help you collect materials." Seeing ten power armors placed in the training field, Tang Zheng prepared to buy some as spare. Although the fabrication technique was a little shoddy, they were safer for the newbies to wear than being naked.
"They’re called Scavengers." Lieutenant Colonel Pang Ke’s eyes lit up. "It’s fantastic that you guys are willing to initiate the attack."
