Upon detecting the armored car fleet on its radar, the transport plane flying at an altitude of thirty thousand meters immediately began to lower its height. The special robot squadronon board swiftly checked its equipment and readied themselves at the hatch, preparing for an air-drop.

After Zhuo Lie joined the fleet, an uneasy calm settled over them. Tang Zheng also did not want to expose their identities and didn’t ask any questions. He had a feeling that the enemy might launch a new attack, and when they do, the newcomers would serve as perfect bait. After all, he already had his primary targets on hand.

Although the Conquerors were puzzled as to why Tang Zheng did not greet the members of the Trojan Squad, they did not ask. In the team, Tang Zheng had the absolute say and backed by their past performances, everyone would support him no matter what he did.

"Command Vehicle, enemy transport plane sighted at three-thousand feet!" The radar operator’s exclamation was tinged with a hint of panic. Against such a formidable enemy, their fleet, without any anti-aircraft artillery, was as vulnerable as a sheet of white paper.

"Is there anything special about these transport planes?" Tang Zheng grabbed the Captain’s collar, pulling him closer, and asked in a low, urgent voice.

"Given the combat style of the robots, if the battle stalemates, they would use the transport planes to air-drop their best soldiers. There is always a Queen’s clone onboard these planes." The Captain was evidently not built for this level of pressure. His voice started shaking as soon as he heard the operator’s warning.

The transport plane was highly maneuverable. Within seconds, it reduced its altitude to five hundred meters. Now, with a clear view of the ground vehicle fleet, it immediately began dropping bombs.

Hundreds of bombs, each exceeding one hundred pounds, shrieked as they fell through the air.

"Speed up and brace for the shock wave!" Dantai, holding onto the vehicle-mounted machine gun and looking at the sky, saw the bombs falling in a slanting line, scattering around their vehicle fleet.

A moment after Dantai spoke, the bombs hit the ground. The subsequent explosions led to a rapid ascension of massive fireballs, each having a radius of several meters. The fireballs depleted the surrounding air and vanished, leaving behind a shock wave that lifted sand and gravel, spreading them in all directions.

The view from the armored fleet was suddenly obscured by dust. The vibrations from the explosions caused the vehicles to shake relentlessly, giving the impression of an earthquake measuring above five on the Richter scale. An armored vehicle that was close to the blast was flipped over, and sparks flew as its metal armor scraped against the ground.

Lu Fan was about to deploy a sand shield to boost the defense power of the command vehicle.

"It’s useless." Tang Zheng shook his head, stopping the little Lolita. In the face of such concentrated bombing, the enemy always has the initiative. Fortunately, these were not air-to-ground missiles, otherwise, abandoning their vehicles and fleeing would be the only course of action. Staying in the armored vehicles would be a certain death.

"Mommy, I’m scared!" The little girl hugged her one-armed mother tightly and stayed close to her. With the vehicle shaking, the deafening explosion sounds, and the continuous patter of debris hitting the vehicle sides, the girl felt as if Doomsday had arrived, and her face was filled with terror.

"Don’t be afraid, mommy is here." The one-armed woman leant against the vehicle wall, embraced her child and whispered. She had lost too much blood, and coupled with the earlier escapes, her condition had worsened.

"Here, have some water." Li Xinlan handed her a bottle of water, touched the little girl’s hair, and resumed her calm posture.

Ruan Feifei attempted to stay calm, but her twitching finger betrayed her nervous state. She suddenly realised that she was not immune to fear in the face of danger and wished she had a reliable shoulder to lean on.

But no one had the time to tease her. The newcomers also appeared distressed, holding their heads and huddled in a corner in fear.

Boom, boom. The sounds of explosions echoed continuously without any sign of stopping. One bomb blasted near them, lifting the vehicle and tilting it at a forty-five-degree angle. The new women lost their balance, rolled into a heap and screamed out of fear.

"Tang Zheng, go find Tang Zheng!" Chen Hong was behaving worse than the newcomers, clamoring Tang Zheng’s name so he could come and save her.

"Everybody shut up!" Ruan Feifei held on to the wall of the vehicle to steady herself and slapped the fallen star’s cheek.

"What were you doing?" Chen Hong was enraged. She considered herself on par with Ruan Feifei’s status, so why should she be slapped?

"I told you to shut up, didn’t you hear?" Ruan Feifei did not want to admit that she was venting her anxiety in this way.

"I’ll get Tang Zheng to deal with you!" Considering her own abilities, Chen Hong conceded and decided to get Tang Zheng to discipline Ruan Feifei, and preferably have her dismissed.

The seven-year-old girl under her mother, who had been unable to dodge in time, had twisted her arm and her pained expression had her face twisted. Even though the little Lolita endured the pain and didn’t cry out, tears kept streaming from her eyes, rolling down her cheeks and dripping off her chin.

"Does it hurt?" The one-armed woman was startled, she struggled to move. But she simply had no strength left in her.

"It doesn’t hurt, Mommy, it really doesn’t hurt at all." The little girl choked a little, reassuring her mother.

The girl was afraid to worry her mother, so she endured the pain and moved her arm to show her that it didn’t hurt. However, her knitted eyebrows told otherwise.

Li Xinlan helped both of them up, sighing. After enduring so many hardships, the mother and daughter could not possibly survive till the end.
