Chapter 1340: Chapter 16 Plague
The woman with the blue eyeshadow wasn’t deterred; she couldn’t believe there was a man she couldn’t seduce. Just as she was about to resume her efforts, a cold voice hit her eardrums, seemingly carrying the chill of winter, making her shiver all over.
"What are you doing here?" Pang Meiqin crossed her arms and leaned against the doorframe, staring at the eyeshadow woman.
"Nothing, nothing at all!" The eyeshadow woman was frightened and became incoherent.
"Scram!" Pang Meiqin was too lazy for more small talk. After the woman left, she closed the room door.
"Ugh, she’s just a bitch; what right does she have to boss me around?" The woman was very resentful, spitting out saliva, only to see Lu Fan standing not far away. She got startled and hurriedly left with a forced smile.
Pang Meiqin forcefully opened the bathroom door and naturally placed her hand on his back, caressing it before leaning into him with one hand sliding lower.
"Stop it!" Tang Zheng grabbed Pang Meiqin’s hand. Even though the physical exertion of rolling in the sheets was negligible, he didn’t want to waste his energy.
"I need to check if you’ve been cheating!" Pang Meiqin teased Tang Zheng. After spending fifteen days with him, she increasingly wanted to consolidate her status and show Li Xinlan and Qin Yan that Tang Zheng was hers.
"I’m tired." Tang Zheng was very firm. At such a time, he really didn’t want to engage in any romance, not being the type who needed such stimulation to maintain his condition.
"Are you worried Qin Yan and Xin Lan will see us together?" Pang Meiqin knew Tang Zheng’s vulnerability; he was too gentle.
"No!" Tang Zheng, despite not liking Meiqin, worried about hurting her and ultimately didn’t refuse.
"Forget it. Looking at you like this, I’m not interested anymore." Pang Meiqin sighed, patted Tang Zheng on the back, and left. She knew she could force him, but it would definitely leave a bad impression.
"Curse you!" Lu Fan squatted near the door, stabbing the wall with a dagger, and the plaster fell off in chunks.
"What are you doing?" Pang Meiqin came out and got scared.
"Humph, uncle is mine, don’t you dare snatch him away!" Lu Fan walked into the room, suddenly turned around making a funny face, then with a bang, she shut the door.
"Uncle, I’m here!" Lu Fan spread her arms, ran a little, and lunged onto his back in the bathroom, only to slip due to the water and landed on the floor.
"Go out and wait!" Tang Zheng covered his body, not wanting Little Lolita to see what she shouldn’t.
"Tch, why can Pang Meiqin see and I can’t?" Lu Fan was very dissatisfied, pouting, but still obediently left.
Tang Zheng wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, finding Lu Fan more troublesome than a BOSS.
Dressed in protective clothing and wiping his hair, Tang Zheng saw that Lu Fan had already snuggled into the bedding, happily adjusting the pillows’ position. Seeing him, she immediately lay properly and patted the spot next to her, gesturing for him to come over.
Tang Zheng’s mouth twitched.
"Come on!" Lu Fan patted the pillow again, then turned over, pretending to be a good baby and lay down.
"Get some rest quickly; I have to go patrol soon, checking the entire villa." Tang Zheng had just lied down when Little Lolita, like a grasshopper, suddenly sprang up, climbing on him and nestled into his chest, rubbing her cheek like a little kitten, "Uncle feels so warm."
"Alright, come down now, this isn’t very ladylike!" Tang Zheng touched Lu Fan’s hair, really wanting to pull her off.
"Nope, I want to sleep on uncle!" Lu Fan refused.
The door opening noise rang out, and Lu Fan straightened up, frowning and staring in that direction.
"Tang Zheng, I need to speak with you." Mu Nianqi pushed open the door and seeing Little Lolita straddling Tang Zheng, she froze for a moment, then quickly apologized and left.
"Done for, now I’ll definitely be labeled as a lolicon." Tang Zheng hadn’t forgotten the astonished look Queen Mu gave him when she closed the door.
"These women are so annoying." Lu Fan pulled up the covers, squeezing into his embrace, "Let’s sleep together, and let Sha Ou and the others stand guard; you’re the Group Leader, no need to do everything yourself."
"What’s going on with you and your husband?" Ran Mei looked at the woman who had saved her, wanting to help with her worries.
"Don’t talk about that coward." Mentioning Xu Liangmao just made Li Huiwen furious; you’d think at a time like this, he’d show some concern for her.
Someone knocked on the door, and Ran Mei didn’t dare open it, looking at Li Huiwen.
"Who is it?" Li Huiwen tried to make her voice calm, actually hoping it was her husband.
"Huiwen, are you there? I need to discuss something with you!" It was a stranger’s voice, but Li Huiwen instantly recognized it as that pockmarked face.
"Not home." Li Huiwen cursed irritably.
"All right, I’ll go find Xu Liangmao." The pockmarked face was thick-skinned and treacherous.
"What do you mean?" Li Huiwen opened the door angrily, only to see the pockmarked face waiting outside as if calculating she would open the door, and beside him stood another man, also someone she had relationships with.
"Let’s talk inside, it’s important," Mazi faced entered the room unceremoniously, Li Huiwen tried to stop him, but he grabbed her chest.
Li Huiwen dodged him, but he took the opportunity to walk in.
"Do you want to survive?" Mazi’s eyes darted around, sizing up Ran Mei.
"Nonsense," Li Huiwen glared at Mazi face, "Just spit it out, I’m trying to sleep."
"Didn’t you notice? Those people around your husband, they all have superpowers. If you had them too, your chances of survival would increase significantly," Mazi threw out the bait.
"What is it to you?" Li Huiwen’s heart skipped a beat, a thought forming in her mind.
"I’m just giving you a friendly reminder," Mazi looked at Li Huiwen leisurely, "How about we cooperate? We’ve formed an alliance, and won’t let you down."
"Why should I choose you over my husband?" Li Huiwen scoffed.
"Heh, are you joking? With all those green hats you’ve placed on your husband, he can’t stand you. Plus, have you noticed? Your husband is just a lackey, with no status in the team." Mazi’s words were sharp, each one hitting Li Huiwen’s weak spots.
"My IQ is not low, and I’ve had some luck, but what I’m lacking is a bit of help," Mazi stared into Li Huiwen’s eyes, "I want to know how to obtain abilities."
"Why should I tell you?" Li Huiwen felt like vomiting every time she saw this disgusting man.
"Don’t force me to take extreme measures. If I can’t live, I’ll ruin your reputation and make your husband loathe you completely," Mazi snorted coldly. "You think you can patch things up with him? Dream on."
It had to be said, Mazi’s low and treacherous tactics hit Li Huiwen hard, almost causing her internal injury from frustration.
"Think it over carefully. If you choose to cooperate, I’ll make those men you’ve been involved with behave, and during escapades, I’ll take extra care of you," Mazi headed towards the door, "You’d better act fast, time is running out."
Mazi’s plan didn’t stop there. If Xu Liangmao helped Li Huiwen and gave her some prop, he could easily steal it. Having superpowers meant he could go solo or negotiate terms with Tang Zheng, as many newbies overestimated themselves before they’d seen the boss’s strength.
"Huiwen, what are you planning to do?" Ran Mei looked worriedly at Li Huiwen, "Or tell your husband, let them take care of Mazi."
"Mind your own business, I’m fine," Li Huiwen was irritated, clearly finding the suggestion untenable. As soon as they talked, her reputation would be ruined, with added fuel to the flame and no chance of recovery.
Honestly, having died once, Li Huiwen really wanted to keep living. Then, she began to resent Xu Liangmao. You’ve become an all-powerful Conqueror, so why can’t it show? Still acting like a coward, despised by everyone every day.
In the hotel, a short-haired woman possessed by an alien species called a regular client out.
"What’s the matter? Miss me?" Although the man teased her with his words, his expression was solemn, thinking about how to avert the current crisis.
"I’m scared." The woman pulled him into a guest room, suddenly hugged him, and kissed him on the mouth.
The man intended to resist, but his hand moved to her buttocks, and he couldn’t bring himself to let go, knowing it would usually cost him several hundred, and now it was being offered for free.
The man was ready to enjoy a quick fight, but he felt a pain in his neck where the woman’s right hand had touched. Unseen by him, a tiny bug crawled out of the woman’s palm, burrowed through his skin, and entered his body.
After planting the plague, the woman immediately pushed him away and left to find her next target.
"Crazy bitch," the man cursed, but dared not use force. If this woman screamed, he’d be out of luck.
The man returned to his room. Although five people shared it, no one paid any attention to him—they all had heavy things on their minds.
"Move over a bit, I need to lie down." The man lay down on the bed, and under the cover of the sheet, a bug crawled out from under his skin and moved toward another man.
In less than five minutes, all six were infected, feeling very tired and drifting into a deep sleep.
The short-haired woman found the remaining security guards, talked to them while discreetly planting the plague, then headed to Sha Ou’s room, figuring this man was the easiest to trick.
"Why are you wandering around without resting?" Ruan Feifei, in charge of the patrol, spotted the meandering short-haired woman.
"Looking for someone." The short-haired woman’s tank top split open, forming a large mouth, which spat out several bugs that crawled down her thighs, ready to attack.
"Going to find Tang Zheng? Stop dreaming. He’s not into you," the female anchor couldn’t be bothered with such trash, walking past her.
The bugs quickly retreated, the mouth on the short-haired woman’s back closing up.
"Snap out of it, get back to your room." The female anchor glanced back at her without seeing anything.
"Okay." The short-haired woman ran behind the female anchor, ready to kill her. Otherwise, once the plague outbreak began, she would definitely be suspected. But suddenly, screams and explosions erupted within the villa, interrupting her plan.
"Where?" Tang Zheng and Luerculosis came racing out.
The newbies witnessing this scene had strange expressions, and the woman with the blue eyeshadow realized why he didn’t like her—it turned out he was a loli fan. (To be continued.
