Chapter 1261: Chapter 15: Puss in Boots

Lu Taijiang’s trachea was bound by a ribbon, and he was on the verge of suffocation. His mouth was wide open, like a dying, stranded catfish. He tried to tear the ribbon off, but even though his nails scratched and broke the skin on his neck, he was unsuccessful.

The bride took graceful strides forward with her long, beautiful legs towards Lu Taijiang. The ribbon around her neck flowed in the air, gathered, and formed into a large butterfly knot.

Gasping, Lu Taijiang flailed, kicking his legs in disorder, his eyes filled with pleading and fear as he stared at the bride. He didn’t want to die.

"If you sell your soul to me, I might spare you," the bride said with a devilish smile, as she kicked Lu Taijiang between his legs.

The unfortunate student’s entire face contorted in pain like a crumpled chrysanthemum, swinging in mid-air like a swing.

Lu Taijiang, unable to speak, nodded frantically, not caring about the soul for now, just wanting to survive.

The bride’s fingers danced, and the ribbon, filled with evil spirit power, loosened from Lu Taijiang’s neck and then tied around his hands.

"Don’t kill me, I’ll give you souls, lots of souls!" Lu Taijiang cried out in haste, hoping to redeem his own life with the lives of others.

The bride plunged her hand into Lu Taijiang’s chest, but there was no wound and no blood flowed. As she withdrew her hand, a translucent soul, identical to Lu Taijiang and filled with a terrified expression, was pulled out, struggling incessantly.

The bride took a deep breath and drew the soul into her nostrils, the delicious taste making her bubble with pleasure.

Lu Taijiang suddenly felt weak, all strength drained from his body, unable to lift even a finger.

"Don’t worry, I won’t kill you. You are now my slave. Once you hunt enough souls, I will set you free!" The bride laughed, "Don’t be so downcast, I can give you the power to conquer the world, with which you can have everything!"

Having no other choice, Lu Taijiang nodded. He now just wanted to find Tang Zheng to see if there was a way to kill the bride and reclaim his own soul.

"Slave, I see betrayal in your eyes. It seems you need a bit more punishment!" The bride snapped her fingers, and the ribbon coiled around Lu Taijiang’s neck again.

"No, I won’t betray you," Lu Taijiang pleaded in terror as the feeling of suffocation returned.

"Hmph, coward, I am not afraid of your betrayal at all!" The bride produced a jewel and blew on it, and a ghost demon with bat wings holding a steel fork flew out and swiftly entered Lu Taijiang’s mouth.

Lu Taijiang immediately felt a surge of strength filling his body, enough to overturn a Tyrannosaurus. His body became feverish, yearning for a rampage.

"This is the Soul Searching Jewel, which can absorb the souls of the living. Those who lose their souls will become your puppets, entirely at your mercy. This is my favor to you!" The bride tilted her chin slightly and extended her right leg forward, "Now, don’t you kneel down and devoutly kiss my toes!"

As Lu Taijiang regained his freedom, he hesitated for a moment. But gazing at the bride’s beautiful legs clad in white silk stockings, he knelt down.

The ghostly bride raised her right foot in satisfaction.

Lu Taijiang supported the heel, uncaring of the dry leaves and soil on the high-heels, and kissed the front end. After having done this, smelling the fragrance coming from the bride’s leg, he couldn’t help but reach out his hand to touch.

Bang, the bride’s expression darkened dramatically, and she kicked Lu Taijiang in the face. The unfortunate student’s mouth was full of blood, and he spat out two large teeth.

"Find me in Fairy Tale Town in two days!" The bride clapped her hands, and the ground behind her suddenly bulged, and twenty ghost riders clad in armor crawled out, lined up, and saluted Lu Taijiang, "Now, they are your servants!"

Having said that, the bride’s body shattered into a swarm of white butterflies and disappeared into the dense forest.

A map was imprinted into Lu Taijiang’s brain, making him more familiar with the forest than his own backyard. Without any delay, he went to find his alumni.

"Everybody stop, something’s not right!" After walking for almost twenty minutes and finding the twentieth arrow symbol on a tree big enough for three people to embrace, Tang Zheng growled.

The university students in front, a bit slow to react, Ruan Feifei got angry and swung her arm, releasing a bolt of lightning and knocking down many dry leaves.

"Everyone stop, didn’t you hear?"

"What’s the problem?" An Fei interjected to lighten the mood, "Everybody, be careful!"

Everyone turned their attention to Tang Zheng, unsure of what he was up to.

"The timing is off. Lu Fan, acting as a scout, should be slower than us, but we’ve been walking for so long and still haven’t caught up to her, and there’s no sign of Ai Yixin and that tall student either," Gu Xueqi searched the ground, but unfortunately, it was covered with fallen leaves, leaving no footprints.

Mu Nianqi nodded approvingly, befitting of the girl who was resetting her records, with very keen observation skills. Of course, Tang Zheng was not bad either. However, as the deputy group leader, his performance was somewhat sub-par. Listening to a teammate’s tone, Dantai should be wise, but why hadn’t he noticed all these evident flaws?

"Dantai, are you sick?" Tang Zheng furrowed his brows, seeming distracted as if his mind was elsewhere, usually he would have made suggestions by now.

"I’m sorry, I encountered some difficulties in reality and am still frustrated; I haven’t adjusted yet," Dantai took a deep breath, regaining his composure, "There could be two issues now. First, someone might have tampered with the directional arrows, which is unlikely, or second, we might have entered a forest maze, and we can’t follow the arrows anymore. Instead, we should use a compass to find our way!"

"Doesn’t that mean we’ve lost Lu Fan and Ai Yixin?" Jing Xiang worried, concerned for their safety.

"You make the decision!" Dantai didn’t reply but looked towards Tang Zheng, after all, he was the group leader, and all eyes drifted his way.

"Keep following the arrows and watch out for footprints and other traces; Brother Lin, we’ll take the lead. Dantai, Mu Nianqi, you two cover the rear!" Tang Zheng looked at Mu Nianqi, ready to eliminate her if she became troublesome.

"No problem!" Mu Nianqi didn’t care about these issues; she also wanted to discuss the team’s situation with Dantai.

The team moved forward again, this time Tang Zheng paid more attention, noting the traces left by people, Lin Weiguo as a commando, was also familiar with tracking.

"Why has it been so long, and no one has caught up? With the Conquerors’ capabilities, several should have escaped already!" Lu Fan kept looking back, pouting her lips as she vigorously stabbed a large tree with Alice’s blood-stained kitchen knife, sending wood chips flying everywhere.

"Could they be lost? Should we go back and check?" Ai Yixin, who had left early and caught up with Lu Fan, hadn’t seen Lu Taijiang.

"Tang Zheng, Dantai, Uncle Lin, which one of them looks lost? Hmph, when I find them, I’ll definitely complain," Lu Fan said as she retrieved the Giant Spider, sat on it with her legs crossed, and headed back.

After being possessed by a demon soul, Lu Taijiang felt all his senses significantly heightened as he followed Little Lolita.

"Who’s there?" Lu Fan threw the Wisdom Sword into the air, which transformed into a hundred sword shadows, while Ai Yixin stood by with her Heavy Magnetostorm Rifle, ready for combat.

"Don’t shoot, it’s me!" Lu Taijiang originally thought Lu Fan would be easy to kill due to her small and frail appearance, but her immediate display of power scared him.

"Where did you run off to?" Ai Yixin frowned, "Why didn’t I catch up to you?"

"I got lost and somehow ended up back here," Lu Taijiang gave a lame excuse, changing the subject, "This spider is terrifying!"

"Afraid of what?" Lu Fan sized up Lu Taijiang, trying to see right through him, then suddenly attacked, pinning the Wisdom Sword next to him.

"She’s so beautiful, I really want to push her down!" Watching Ai Yixin’s body, wrapped tightly in a bodysuit, Lu Taijiang felt a burning desire inside, increasingly unable to control his negative emotions after being parasitized by the demon soul, becoming irritable, angry, and lusting for women and slaughter.

Whiz, whiz, the Wisdom Sword barely missed his forehead and landed. Lu Taijiang broke into a cold sweat, almost summoning the Ghost Rider to attack.

"Hmm, looks like you have nothing to hide!" Lu Fan did this as a means of intimidation and also as a test, and the result was not bad.

Unknown to them, because he was distracted, Lu Taijiang inadvertently fooled them.

The three of them continued on their way, Lu Taijiang lagging behind, eyeing Ai Yixin’s voluptuous buttocks, feeling increasingly agitated and almost desperate to slap it a few times.

"Come out, I saw you!" Tang Zheng raised his right hand, signaling to stop, as he scanned the area ahead; he had just heard some noise.

"Can you not overreact, please? You frightened my soul out of me!" A female university student with a C-cup complained. She was used to being pursued due to her beautiful looks and outstanding figure, so she felt entitled to grumble.

"Shut up!" Teng Yuangxiang growled, wishing she could smack her face but was too far away to do it.

For safety, Tang Zheng pulled out his Devil Flame Pistol and fired a Storm Barrage in a 180-degree arc ahead. The red glowing bullets flew like fireflies through the dense forest, shedding numerous leaves and branches.

Thump, a Wild cat fell down; if not for the thick bed of Dry Leaves, it would have died on impact.

"Cough, cough, if I’d dodged any slower, you would have killed me!" the Wild cat suddenly spoke, startling everyone.

The Wild cat jumped up, but a Riding boot descended from the sky, striking its head and flipping it over again.

Even though it was a comical scene, no one could laugh; all weapons were aimed at it immediately.

"Don’t you want to leave this forest? Give me just five souls, and I’ll lead you out!" The Wild cat got up, dusted off the soil from its knees, picked up the boot, put it on, then also picked up the Cowboy hat that had fallen nearby and placed it on its head.

The boot was torn, revealing the toes, but the brown-haired Wild cat didn’t mind. It tightened its belt, which had a small Western Sword tucked into it.

Tang Zheng and Lin Weiguo exchanged a look and charged at it together.

The Wild cat revealed a mocking smile, leapt up as if to escape, but suddenly Gravity Suppression hit. It was smashed down hard, as if hit by an air hammer.
