Chapter 1234: Chapter 99: Crisis Lurks Everywhere
Tang Zheng had no intention of showing mercy. His left fist was filled with power, and if it landed on the head, even an ironclad Ada would pass out.
Ada lost her balance but reacted extremely fast. She pushed off forcefully with her feet, her body soaring through the air, and delivered a fierce kick towards Tang Zheng’s temples. The leg that was caught tugged hard, trying to make him lose his balance as well.
Tang Zheng stood unmovable, retracted his fist, and swung his arm, striking Ada on the ankle while simultaneously lunging forward, crashing into her lower body.
At this moment, Ada’s body was suspended in the air, almost lying horizontally. She tried to clamp her legs together, but the intense pain at her ankle and her inability to exert force made her only watch helplessly as the taller and bigger Tang Zheng charged toward her like a beast.
Tang Zheng bent at the waist and collided with Ada, his right hand like a steel whip, heavily smashing into her abdomen.
Boom, Ada fell straight to the ground, coughing out saliva, with severe pain spreading through her nerves all over her body, causing her limbs to spasm and tremble, almost numbing her completely.
"Since you’re not willing to negotiate, then become a captive!" Tang Zheng said fiercely.
Ada didn’t give up on counterattacking. Just as she was regaining her strength, she swung a scissor kick at Tang Zheng’s legs, reached for the Glock in her thigh holster with her left hand, threw a punch with her right hand towards his eyes.
"Again?" Tang Zheng was tripped, falling face-first towards Ada. He went with the motion, grabbing her wrist, dodging the punch with a turn of his head, his right hand formed like a knife, striking back at her eyes.
Boom, Tang Zheng entirely fell on top of Ada.
"I give up!" Ada, unable to retaliate and seeing no hesitation in Tang Zheng’s eyes—truly intent on killing her—quickly pleaded for mercy. She was only trying to recover the face she lost last time, not to die.
Tang Zheng’s fingertips stopped at Ada’s eyeball, even touching her eyelashes. One more move, and it would pierce into her brain.
Ada lay spread-eagled on the grass, giving up any resistance.
Tang Zheng, mistrusting the cunning woman, stood up, grabbed her shoulders, flipped her over, then clutched both her hands and pinned them behind her back.
"Hey, you’re going too far!" Ada now lay on the ground, her entire back exposed in Tang Zheng’s view, her long beautiful legs bare without silk stockings, and only one high-heel left hanging on her foot.
"What exactly do you want?" Tang Zheng frowned, his knee pressing down on Ada’s back, now speckled with bits of grass, picked up the Desert Eagle and pressed it against the back of her head.
"That girl is Eve, right? I’ve seen her in the documents." Ada hated this position; it hurt somewhat, "Can you get off me first?"
"Answer the question," Tang Zheng refused, "Don’t try my patience."
"Okay, let me guess, you guys rescued Eve, so next, you’re probably looking for Doctor Simpson. Last I heard, he’s in Marseille, France. I can get airplane tickets," Ada smiled confidently. "By the way, it won’t be a problem even if you don’t have passports."
Tang Zheng was somewhat tempted, needing to complete the mission within 48 hours, meaning he must fly. He had intended to hijack a private jet, but now Ada offered him a solution, though he suspected she was not doing this out of sheer altruism.
"My only request is to accompany you. How about that? It’s a simple request, right?" Ada twisted her body a bit. "Can you let me get up? The ground is cold."
"How did you find me?" Tang Zheng suspected that the issue might be with the refrigerated container, but as his infection was healed, he was convinced it was just a potion, not the R-virus strain.
"The refrigerated container had a tracker." Ada confessed, with a meaningful tease, "How about that? The potion works well, right?"
"If you have more, I don’t mind keeping it for you." Tang Zheng got off Ada’s body.
"You agreed?" Ada got up, covering her body with her arms, "Hey, give me a coat."
Right after Ada spoke, Tang Zheng’s coat was already covering her head. Meanwhile, near the armored vehicle, a heated discussion was also taking place.
"That’s Ada, right? She really looks like her, especially in that cheongsam." The traffic police were a cheerful group, unlike the others who were more somber.
"As if she’d pay attention to you," Kong Licheng mocked the traffic police, squatting on the ground, smoking a cigarette.
"Qian Wen, can you keep me company?" Tian Tian walked up to Qian Wen, tugged at the hem of his shirt, murmuring softly, "I’m scared."
"Sure, where to?" Qian Wen asked, then noticing Tian Tian’s flushed cheeks, realized the girl needed to go to the toilet, "Let’s go."
Qian Wen, carrying a machine gun, walked beside Tian Tian, occasionally stealing glances at her. Under normal circumstances, she would never make such a request, which made him feel that their relationship had significantly deepened, being accepted filled him with a surge of male chauvinism.
"Let’s stop here, any further would be too dangerous." After walking a hundred meters from the camping ground with no one around, Qian Wen called to Tian Tian.
"Okay." Tian Tian nodded, turned around, and unbuckled her belt.
Qian Wen was startled for a moment, then quickly turned away, but he couldn’t resist and turned back to steal another glance. He watched Tian Tian squatting on the ground, his heart rate uncontrollably rising. Then, as he saw her standing up, he quickly turned his head away, looking straight ahead.
"Qian Wen, thank you." Tian Tian got her pants back on and hugged Qian Wen from behind. Unable to hold back any longer, he turned around, hugged Tian Tian, and kissed her lips.
Tian Tian smiled deviously and began to lay parasitic eggs.
Qian Wen was enjoying the girl’s kiss, blissfully unaware; however, the next second, the ecstasy on his face turned to terror as the sweet tongue in his mouth suddenly swelled into a thick, meaty strip that shot straight into his throat.
Qian Wen didn’t know what was happening. He tried to push Tian Tian away, but she held him tightly. Soon, her mouth split open like a chrysanthemum, engulfing his head.
"A special infected?" Qian Wen realized, but it was too late. His entire field of vision was consumed by darkness, and his chest felt as though it had been pierced by an iron rod.
In twenty seconds, Tian Tian completed her egg-laying behavior and released Qian Wen.
"You bastard." Qian Wen crouched on the ground, vomiting, wishing to kill Tian Tian out of spite; however, he lost consciousness, fell to the ground, and when he rose again, he had become one of her kind.
All four of them returned to the camping ground almost simultaneously, but everyone ignored them, their attention fixed on Ada.
"Your exercise must have been pretty vigorous, huh? Even tore your clothes." Kong Licheng seemed to be joking, but was actually aiming to tarnish Tang Zheng’s reputation, prodding the traffic police and the girls, hoping to make him disliked.
"Yeah, Tang Zheng has great stamina," Ada teased, leaning toward Tang Zheng and kissing him on the cheek.
Liu Man swore under her breath, calling her a seductress. The others didn’t care much; after all, it was Tang Zheng’s private affair and they wouldn’t interfere.
"Get in the car, let’s go." Tang Zheng waved his hand; Tao Ran and Zhao Dongtao had already fallen into a deep sleep, and Song Xin would probably wake up soon, likely before getting on the airplane.
New York City had fallen, the airport was of course ruined. Ada’s plan was to drive to Trenton first, then take a plane to France. If all went smoothly, the journey was expected to take about 10 hours.
Traveling at night was incredibly dull. The newbies were extremely tired and could fall asleep leaning against the vehicle walls. Huang Long and Liu Guohao took turns driving while Tang Zheng sat in Ada’s sports car. If there had been enough space, he would have brought another person along.
"Not bad at driving, huh?" Ada propped her cheek with one hand, smiling as she observed Tang Zheng, "Why so cautious? I’m not going to do anything to you."
"Why don’t you drive then?" Tang Zheng retorted coldly, "Don’t say I didn’t warn you, if you attack, I’ll drag you down with me."
"Am I that bad?" Ada took off her high-heels, resting her feet on Tang Zheng’s thigh.
Tang Zheng said nothing; he just slapped her calf with his hand.
"Ouch, you actually hit?" Ada got angry and suddenly stretched her leg, kicking at Tang Zheng, still resentful and looking to reclaim her dignity.
Tang Zheng’s large hand grabbed Ada’s ankle, preventing her from succeeding, and with his left hand, he swung the steering wheel, deliberately making the sports car swerve in an S-shape.
"Are you crazy?" Ada, who hadn’t buckled her seatbelt, nearly smashed into the windshield and naturally couldn’t kick Tang Zheng.
Tang Zheng completely ignored her, not even sparing her a glance as he remained indifferent.
"Let me go, you foot fetish pervert." Ada, thwarted several times, could only talk back, but as he kept silent, her rage found no outlet.
After five minutes of struggle, Ada grew tired and leaned back on the seat, "Alright, I apologize, let me go."
Tang Zheng let go, but Ada, like a cheetah ready to pounce, suddenly kicked out.
Tang Zheng was already prepared for her.
With a screech, Tang Zheng hit the brakes and lunged at Ada, grabbing one wrist and pressing his other hand under her neck.
Ada, of course, didn’t take it lying down and struggled, but the awkward position made it difficult for her to exert force, and Tang Zheng easily subdued her.
