Chapter 1151 - 34 Interrogation of Ada

Chapter 1151: Chapter 34 Interrogation of Ada

Ada knew that if the yellow-skinned young man’s assault rifle wasn’t the civilian version, it could fire automatically in full-auto mode, unleashing a barrage that would definitely turn her into a sieve. Although his shooting posture wasn’t standard, his accuracy was frighteningly high at a terrifying one hundred percent, with both bullets hitting their mark.

"I was careless," Ada murmured, crouching and swiftly moving along the office desk. Fortunately, the injury on her leg was only a scrape; otherwise, she wouldn’t even struggle to counterattack but would just give up. However, her arm was in bad shape. Depending on her experience, she knew a bullet had lodged in her bone, and the injured muscle made it impossible for her to hold a gun.

Tang Zheng didn’t shout out Ada’s name to verify. It wasn’t time yet. He intentionally kept a stern face and, relying on the large capacity of his hundred-round drum, kept firing non-stop to maintain pressure and prevent Ada from repositioning.

Bullets whizzed randomly, causing debris on a row of office desks to fly about.

"Good judgment," Ada noted as the bullets chased close behind her. She knew the sound of her high heels had given away her position, but she didn’t take them off.

"A cornered beast still fights. If you answer a few questions, I might let you go," Tang Zheng began to distract Ada with verbal tactics, seeing a glimpse of a chance to survive even in dire straits, though aware it might be a trap, most people would still consider it.

Ada didn’t respond, quickly thinking of ways to escape from Tang Zheng and get out of there. She no longer thought about how to kill him; judging from this series of reactions, he was an experienced hunter.

Tang Zheng ran into the corridor and didn’t see Ada; she had hidden herself one step ahead.

"Hmm, you can’t escape. Just surrender. As long as I block the exit routes from the office, you can only die here," Tang Zheng scanned around, searching for the most likely places where Ada could be hiding.

Ada, resilient in mind, reached into her backpack and pulled out a flash grenade.

"Oh, you wouldn’t be thinking of throwing a flash grenade, would you? Or is it a smoke bomb? Good idea, you can try it. Hey, where are my sunglasses?" Tang Zheng recalled Ada’s backpack and, not knowing what equipment was inside, could only try to intimidate her first.

For safety, Tang Zheng closed one eye, so he could instantly counterattack even if he was flashed.

The sound of footsteps suddenly stopped, causing Ada to frown, and she felt something was wrong.

"I was also careless," Tang Zheng said as he strode with long legs, leveraging momentum to step onto the desk, moving atop it, gaining the high ground and immediately spotting Ada bending over and moving.

"Hey, little kitty, there you are, nice buttocks," Tang Zheng continued to provoke Ada. Bent over, her buttocks, accentuated by the cheongsam and its high slits, revealed pale and attractive thighs that appeared intermittently as she moved.

Tang Zheng showed no mercy, opened full firepower, and aimed at Ada’s legs. He intended to capture her.

"Great chance," Ada threw the flash grenade.

Bang, the flash grenade exploded, the gunfire ceased, and Ada thought she had gained time and sprinted at full speed, yet after just three steps, gunfire suddenly erupted again, and a bullet struck her thigh.

The pain from the bullet made Ada’s leg buckle, and she fell to the ground.

"There really was a flash grenade. My left eye," Tang Zheng, despite closing his left eye as fast as possible, was still flashed, with tears gushing out like a dam releasing floodwaters.

"You can still shoot even after getting flashed?" Ada was disheartened. The opponent’s overwhelming strength made her feel powerless, especially since she was now unable to move with a bullet in her leg.

"Throw down your gun and backpack, or I’ll throw a hand grenade. You can’t move, and you’d definitely get blown up," Tang Zheng didn’t rashly advance since Ada appeared to be a good shot. He didn’t want to take a headshot and instead tried to scare her.

To increase his persuasiveness, Tang Zheng aimed with his right eye and fired a few shots beside Ada, demonstrating his ability to kill her anytime.

"As long as I’m alive, there’s a chance," Ada bit her lip and made a decision, even if he didn’t have a hand grenade, he could still shoot her from a distance.

"I surrender," Ada shouted, hurling out her MP5K, "I’m injured in the arm, I can’t remove the backpack."

"What about the gun holster on your thigh? You think I’m blind?" Tang Zheng quickly moved and now stood in the same hallway as Ada, eleven meters apart.

Ada drew her Glock and tossed it away, "May I bandage myself?"

"Take off your underwear as well, who knows if you’ve hidden any weapons in there?" Tang Zheng again made a suggestion, testing Ada and trying to jumble her thoughts, though to his disappointment, her reaction was unexpected.

"Why don’t you come and take it off?" Ada used her charm, confident that if he came close, she could kill him.

"I’d be happy to, but before that, tell me about your background and purpose," Tang Zheng caressed his rifle, slowly approaching Ada, "You can refuse to answer, but then I will wait until you bleed out. Oh, and I don’t mind if the corpse is still warm."

Ada understood Tang Zheng’s insinuation, her expression changing for the first time as she glared at him venomously.

"My name is Meryl, I’m a SWAT, sent here to handle a virus leak," Ada lied smoothly.

"Untruthful. It looks like I’ll have to break your other leg," Tang Zheng intimidated Ada, firing several bullets near her thigh.

"Would you really bear to injure my beautiful legs?" Ada’s body shuddered subconsciously, causing her chest to move as well. She cursed Tang Zheng in her heart but put on a pleasing smile, deliberately sliding her legs out from under her cheongsam.

Honestly speaking, this Eastern woman was very beautiful, and she bore a close resemblance to Ada from Biohazard, which made Tang Zheng start to doubt this game world. His impulse to kill her diminished significantly; he thought she might be a plot character.

"Ada, you are finished!" Tang Zheng purposely shouted Ada’s name, staring into her eyes, wanting to see her reaction. As expected, although the captive tried to remain calm, her eyelids twitched slightly.

"What are you talking about? I don’t understand!" Ada laughed, but the loss of blood was making her head spin a bit.

"Open the backpack." Tang Zheng wasn’t going to save her, even when he approached within three meters of her, he halted.

"I can’t move anymore." Ada refused, her face showing an anxious expression, as inside it was the objective of her mission. If it were lost, everything would be over.

"Oh, look at your expression, seems it’s quite important then." Tang Zheng looked at the blood on the ground and Ada’s pale face, estimating that she had lost quite a bit, and being so weak, she no longer posed a threat, so he walked over, grabbed the strap, and tried to take off the backpack.

Ada was very compliant; she was waiting for a chance to counterattack.

"You seem to know the terrain here very well, could you tell me why? Judging by your look, you’re not an employee here, so you must have a map or something." Tang Zheng suddenly considered a possibility. What if the map provided by the Trojan wristwatch was incorrect? It would likely require survivors to determine.

Tang Zheng was right. If they continued following the map, they would not only fail their mission but would also fall into a trap.

"I have a map, in the ammo clip at my waist!" Tang Zheng’s analysis was meticulous. Ada realized she couldn’t fool him, and at this point, she no longer needed that piece of map anyway.

Tang Zheng opened the ammo clip, found a metal block the size of a fingernail, and following Ada’s instructions, learned how to use it.

"It’s simple to operate. Press the button to open it, then just touch." Ada was very weak, pleading, "Please bandage me up!"

"I don’t have a bandage." Tang Zheng shrugged, looking at the woman’s lips turning pale and white, thinking he still had questions to interrogate her about, he compromised, "Alright."

Tang Zheng didn’t have time to remove bullets from this woman, so he grabbed at the cheongsam.

"What are you doing?" Ada had just asked when she heard a ripping sound, and her cheongsam was torn, exposing her snow-white body wrapped in underwear to the stranger’s view.

"Nice figure, just a bit small in the chest area." Tang Zheng teased, tearing the cheongsam into strips and tying them around her wound to stop the bleeding.

Although Tang Zheng glanced at Ada’s chest and buttocks, his expression didn’t change, which quietly relieved her. She then pouted slightly. Did she really lack charm?

"There’s no explosives in the backpack, right? Otherwise, we would all be blown up," Tang Zheng joked as he inspected the backpack beside Ada, ensuring to cover any oversights, which she would surely remind him about.

"Could you be any more cautious?" Ada was impressed. This man was truly difficult to kill.

In the backpack were some survival items and combat equipment, quite ordinary, but two white metal cylinders resembling canned beer caught his attention.

"What are these?" Tang Zheng noticed a few buttons on the side of the canned cylinder and a thumb-sized LCD screen displaying -20°C and some unrecognized data.

"Small refrigerated container." Ada was startled; these were the two R virus strains she had stolen, the most valuable items in this underground laboratory.

"Obviously, but what’s inside them?" Tang Zheng pulled out a gas mask from Ada’s backpack, wore it on his head, then grabbed her hand, and placed it on the button, ready to open the refrigerated container.

"I say, it’s an enhanced healing potion. After injection, it can increase combat power and repair the damaged body," Ada found an excuse, hoping to deceive Tang Zheng.

"Are you lying to me?" Tang Zheng stared into Ada’s eyes, stroked her thigh, "Seems like you need a taste of hardship."

"Even if you kill me, it’s still a potion." Ada clenched her teeth, gathering strength for a strike.

"Not honest." Tang Zheng grabbed Ada’s underwear, giving it a pull.

"As for interrogation techniques, you are too green," Ada feigned sadness, turning her head away, but inwardly she breathed a sigh of relief. His gaze was too clear; he had no intention of violating her.

When it came to interrogations, this was indeed Tang Zheng’s weakness.
