Chapter 1102: Chapter 66 Human Hell
The driver was an American newbie who, upon seeing bullets flying chaotically, broke into a cold sweat out of fear, instinctively turned the wheel, and stepped on the brakes.
"Idiot, speed up, scatter them, charge into the prison." Rogers, wielding a machine gun, fired at the prisoners, knocking a few over.
"Okay, okay!" In his panic, the newbie restarted the ignition, but unfortunately, Pang Meiqin’s off-road vehicle had already surged past him.
The beautiful-legged stewardess floored the gas pedal, sprinting straight ahead. Several prisoners who were foolish enough to try to stop her soon realized the off-road vehicle was barreling down like a ferocious beast. They flinched in fear, but it was half a beat too slow. Accompanied by thudding collision noises, they were sent flying.
A copious amount of blood splattered on the windshield. Pang Meiqin turned on the wipers to clear it. Lin Fachan, holding a rifle, felt the vehicle jerk; he knew it was the car rolling over a human body. Instinctively looking back, he saw a crushed body on the road, torn in half.
"Drive steadier, I can’t aim properly." Teng Yuangxiang, gripping a TRG-42 sniper rifle, aimed to blow the heads off some prison guards but missed every shot.
"Watch your tone." Pang Meiqin jerked the steering wheel like a sprinting predator shark, crossed through the gap in the wall, and burst into the prison.
"Take out the prison guards first." Dantai, firing an M4A1 in single shots, didn’t miss. Any guard he aimed at got their head blown off—against such riffraff, there was naturally no need for heavy firearms.
An Fei and Lin Fachan began suppressive firing. They weren’t stupid; knowing their marksmanship wasn’t great, they chose this method to serve the team.
Teng Yuangxiang only cared for herself. After switching to a rifle and shooting a few prisoners’ legs, she pulled out a rocket launcher and fired at the shelter from where the prison guards were counterattacking, sending limbs and concrete flying.
"Did you give the Seed Tang Zheng sent you to Lin Jing?" Dantai inquired, noting that Lin Fachan’s combat power showed no signs of improvement.
"Yes." For his girlfriend’s survival, Lin Fachan was willing to pay any price, even his life.
"You’re really devoted." Dantai didn’t complain, as the youngster reminded him of Chu Baichuan.
An Fei also wanted a Seed, but his pride stopped him from asking directly. He figured Tang Zheng was a good person and wouldn’t be stingy with a Black Iron Seed, though he wanted an even better one.
"Americans are all idiots, totally unreasonable!" Asakura Sakura drove the business car behind and witnessed Rogers’ reaction. She trembled with anger at how a potentially good situation had been thoroughly botched by him.
"What should we do now? Still go?" Ota Nobe, the driver, was not optimistic about this action. "Once the police mobilize, we could all be annihilated. These guys definitely won’t help us."
"Kill a few prisoners, then retreat." Asakura knew when to hold them and when to fold them. After taking a deep breath, while firing at the prisoners, she considered the development most beneficial for the team. It would be better to eradicate some Demon Lairs and collect more Seeds.
By the time the Americans charged into the prison square, Dantai and the others had already taken down all the police officers there and were storming into the prison cells.
...
"We’ve got five minutes until it’s time to go out. Should we leave?" Yu Manli whispered to Tang Zheng.
This was a high-security prison cell block built in a swastika-shaped structure resembling a beehive. With four levels, each level was lined with double-occupancy cells around a central open area, ensuring that as long as the prison guards stood there, they could respond to any emergencies.
"Be quiet, time to go out!" The warden, stationed in the control room, shouted into the microphone before pressing a button. With a squeaky noise, the doors to each prison cell opened.
The prisoners walked in and stood at the entrance, spontaneously forming a line. The prison guards surveyed them from above, and after ensuring no one was overlooked, allowed them to descend.
Tang Zheng’s group of five was waiting on the third level, planning to leave after the prisoners had passed. Unfortunately, due to the presence of two policewomen, the prisoners became unsettled. As they walked by Yu Manli, their gazes impudently roamed across them. One of them, with a scar on his head, even craned his neck and inhaled deeply.
"Smells good!" The scarred prisoner, growing bolder, saw Tao Tao frightened like a startled bird and reached out to touch her. But before he could make contact, Tang Zheng’s foot lashed out, striking him in the thigh.
Crack—the scarred prisoner’s thigh broke, and he fell into the opposing cell, crying out in pain.
The prisoners, seeing their comrade attacked, roared various obscenities, attempting to apply psychological pressure on the prison guards while closing in. Amid their curses, they also reached out their filthy arms towards Yu Manli and Tao Tao.
"Back off!" Clutching her head, Tao Tao screamed loudly. Tang Zheng swiftly took the police baton from her waist and struck it ferociously against a prisoner’s head, opening up a gash and spilling blood all over his face.
Tang Zheng kicked a prisoner away and deftly swung the baton, knocking several nearby ones to the ground.
Beep, beep—the officers, noticing the disturbance, immediately sounded the alarm, and several prison guards rushed over.
"Back to your cells," the warden roared, but alas, the prisoners wouldn’t listen. Even those about to step outside deliberately slowed their pace, cheering for their mates. To them, this turmoil was nothing but a festival to dispel their gloom.
The warden continued to bellow, though deep down he wasn’t worried about the disturbance; after all, there were inmates who caused trouble every month due to sheer boredom. The usual outcome was nothing more than a sound thrashing before being thrown into solitary for three days. However, today he miscalculated.
At the sound of the explosion, some prisoners shut their mouths and listened intently. What followed were dense gunshots and cheers and shouts from prisoners scrambling in the square. A few lifers saw an opportunity to escape. After exchanging glances, they attacked the guards nearby without any hesitation. This might have been their only chance to get out, and they had to take the risk.
Once someone made a move, order fell apart completely. The riot spread rapidly with several prisoners seizing guards to use as meat shields in front of the control room.
"Open the prison cell doors, or we’ll kill you," the prisoners howled, pounding at the iron gate until it echoed thunderously.
The warden shut the prison cell doors, sweating profusely as he phoned the prison director for backup. But the guards in front of him were in dire straits.
One guard fired a single shot, hitting a prisoner before being overwhelmed by the others. They pinned him to the ground, some breaking his fingers to take his handgun, others grabbing his head and smashing it against the floor, leaving a pool of blood in a matter of moments.
A young guard had his police gun snatched and tried to retreat and regroup. Unfortunately, he was surrounded on all sides. Some prisoners, seeing no immediate escape, began to toy with him, treating him as their amusement.
A middle-aged guard was less fortunate; after killing two prisoners, he had his neck bitten through by angry inmates, and now he lay convulsing on the ground.
"Grab that policewoman," the prisoners lost all control. A black policewoman was screaming in panic as she fled haphazardly. Her M9 Pistol still had bullets left when a prisoner tackled her from the side, knocking the gun away. The prisoners then swarmed her, groping her all over and tearing at her hair and police uniform.
Tang Zheng looked over to find that the guards’ uniforms had been stripped from several dead bodies. The prisoners were abusing their corpses, either stomping on them or urinating on them.
"You idiots, don’t kill them all. Use the guards as hostages to make them open the doors." There are always a few prison tyrants in each cell, and now they stepped forward, leading the prisoners in their escape.
The chaos spread to the third tier as well.
"This is bad." The guards, seeing their colleagues dead, turned pale with fright. The sight of all the inmates on the floor, ferocious and swarming towards them, terrified him to the core. He fumbled with his gun several times, failing to draw it.
"There are two policewomen here," shouted the prisoners, their eyes gleaming green as they fearlessly lunged forward.
Ah, Tao Tao screamed, hiding behind Tang Zheng.
Yu Manli snorted coldly, her punch landing on the face of one unlucky soul, caving in half of his skull. Then she grabbed his shoulder, swinging him like a human flesh wolf-tooth club to keep the prisoners at bay.
Sha Ou activated his ability and immediately knocked over a group of inmates.
Tang Zheng, calm and collected, took the police gun from a nearby guard and aimed at the lower floors, intending to kill those prisoners who had obtained handguns first.
"Some of you go catch them," the group leader saw that Tang Zheng’s side was still resisting and fired several shots at them, threatening, "Stop it, or we’ll kill your colleagues."
"What do we do?" a guard asked in a complete panic, losing all focus.
Yu Manli actually wanted to take this opportunity to throw the guards out to earn some sin points, but knowing Tang Zheng wouldn’t like it, she refrained.
"Use the guns, let’s get this riot under control first." Tang Zheng initially planned to break the iron doors open and let the inmates out, but after seeing several guards dead, he changed his mind.
"Help me!" The black policewoman looked terrible, but the prisoners didn’t care.
Tang Zheng fired, killing a prisoner.
"Tang Zheng, please stop what you’re doing. If you save the policewoman, you will be deducted a hundred points!" blared the Red Trojan Alert.
Tang Zheng ignored it, shooting dead the second prisoner who lunged at the policewoman.
"Group Leader, don’t do anything stupid." Yu Manli shouted, picking up a prisoner and throwing him at the policewoman to scatter them.
"Help me!" Horror was written all over the policewoman’s face. She saw nothing but dirty hands and sneering faces trying to drag her into hell, while painful sensations kept coming from her body.
