Chapter 1092: Chapter 57 Demonic Wicked Spirits
This delay allowed more than a dozen police cars to consecutively surround the area, parking nearby. Taking cover behind their cars, they aimed their guns at the vagabond.
Police from several branches were present, with over thirty officers on scene, and their numbers were still increasing.
Upon seeing Xu Liangmao exit the car, the policewoman immediately rolled over, pinned down Tang Zheng, and planted a kiss on his lips with her red lipstick.
"Get off!" Tang Zheng firmly pushed the policewoman away and got out of the car.
The policewoman gasped in shock, her face turning pale. Could there really be a gentleman who remains untempted? Did she manage to anger him?
Crack! A bolt of thunder streaked across the sky, followed by the onset of rain. The policemen cursed, none of them wanting to get wet. They looked to Tang Zheng, the highest-ranking among them, hoping he would quickly order them to kill the vagabond so they could go home, shower, and eat.
Enduring the pain, the policewoman took out an umbrella and walked over to shield Tang Zheng from the rain, not daring to step inside herself, soaking wet.
The wet police uniform clung to the policewoman, outlining her underwear, and several officers couldn’t help but sneak peeks at her.
"Do you have a fetish for collecting manhole covers?" Tang Zheng’s attention was not on the vagabond but on the suit-clad old man he had previously met. The man was standing by the sewer entrance, watching the flowing water, seemingly deep in thought.
"No, just passing by," the old man said with a sneer. "We meet again. It seems that your method of fighting violence with violence is beginning to show results. However, you seem to have fallen yourself."
The old man’s gaze landed on the policewoman and then shifted back to the vagabond.
"Did I ever say I was a good person?" Tang Zheng retorted. He disliked the old man’s condescending attitude as if he saw through everything, so he wrapped his arm around the policewoman and left rough kiss marks on her neck.
A few policemen whistled while many more averted their gaze, not daring to offend the rising star in the police force.
The policewoman, a divorcee without family concerns or fear of slander, responded enthusiastically to Tang Zheng.
Tang Zheng’s lawless behavior caused his sin points to increase.
"Hey, do you want to die?" The old man sighed, looking at the vagabond.
The vagabond, who had already given up on living and had no intention of fighting the police, was ready to commit suicide by gun when he heard the old man’s call and subconsciously nodded.
"Are you content with this?" The old man stood with his hands behind his back, ignoring the police. "How about a deal? Give me your life, and I will allow you to continue your journey with your beloved dog in hell!"
"Really?" The vagabond’s face lit up with surprise.
"Director, hurry up and order us to kill him," an older officer shouted. They would have already shot these people dead if they weren’t afraid of being reprimanded.
"Kill him," Tang Zheng released the policewoman and waved his hand. The vagabond had killed someone and according to the law, needed to be punished. "Capture that old man as well."
The policemen fired a barrage of bullets, but as they were about to hit the vagabond, it was as if an invisible hand caught them, and they all stopped in mid-air.
Tang Zheng immediately focused on the suit-clad old man, who pointed a finger sending a spark flying like a meteor into the vagabond’s forehead.
"What is this?" Tang Zheng pulled out his Devil Flame Pistol, unleashing a storm barrage. However, the old man exploded into mist with a bang and vanished into the rain.
The policemen screamed, for the vagabond had transformed. A white halo appeared above his head, angel-like, then ignited into an orange-red color. A massive torrent of flames poured down like a waterfall, engulfing the vagabond completely.
As the flames flowed over the ground like liquid, the vagabond burned entirely, his skin and muscles, then his bones. With a loud roar, he reassembled.
Raindrops evaporated into a cloud of steam upon touching the high temperature near him.
Two policemen, unable to handle the pressure, turned to flee. The skeleton vagabond raised his arm, shooting out a dozen fireballs from between his fingers, striking the officers and setting them ablaze. They endured ten seconds of burning before turning into charred husks.
"Purify, all, sin!" The vagabond, now just a skeleton with a bone stick, opened his mouth and spat out a basin-sized fireball, like a meteor shower, rushing towards the police line.
"Retreat!" Tang Zheng grabbed the policewoman and quickly stepped back, with Xu Liangmao following.
"I called Dantai and the others; they’re on their way," Pang Meiqin said, holding an umbrella in one hand and pulling out the Hell’s Song with the other, not rushing to attack. Though soaked, Jing Xiang wasn’t afraid. She felt safe by Tang Zheng’s side.
The vagabond began his attack, leaping onto a policeman and crushes his head with a punch. The twitching muscles flowed like liquid into the vagabond, becoming part of him.
The policemen fired as they ran, terrified out of their minds, but still, they couldn’t escape. Every leap from the vagabond resulted in another death, stripping their flesh and leaving only a skeleton behind.
"Director, what is this?" the policewoman’s face was filled with disbelief, "Let’s run away."
Tang Zheng sat calmly watching the vagrant massacre the policemen, he had long wanted to clean up these guys, this was just the right opportunity.
"Purification!" the vagrant roared, launching his attack. Those who ran were the first to be struck down, and several policemen, seeing Tang Zheng’s composed demeanor, reacted and started running towards him.
"Director, save me.
"Get lost." Pang Meiqin took a step forward, blocking in front of Tang Zheng, and with a kick, she sent an old policeman flying. She remembered this guy, he not only taxed **, extorted them but also took advantage of his seniority to make indecent requests to her.
The old policeman, coughing up blood, tumbled out and rolled to the feet of the vagrant, who grabbed his head and crushed it. The vagrant now had a new body, and the flame returned to the halo above his head, only the lifeless eyes proved he was dead, turned into a puppet by the old man.
The demonized vagrant lunged at Tang Zheng, and his eyes suddenly ignited, shooting out two light beams.
A defense shield popped up on Tang Zheng, blocking them, then with a twist of his waist and a swing of his arm, he threw a heavy punch. The vagrant countered with a punch of his own.
The air was immediately filled with a thunderous roar, both men crushing the road surface beneath their feet due to the force, the airflow turbulent, sending fragments of stones flying.
"It’s not time yet!" Jing Xiang and Xu Liangmao wanted to help, but were stopped by Pang Meiqin.
The vagrant’s eyes shot out light beams, and Tang Zheng also fired off Moon Blades, giving as good as he got, slicing through the vagrant’s flesh, but instead of blood, liquid flame poured out.
"Third-order, Gravity Suppression!" Tang Zheng burst forth, under the immense pressure, the vagrant’s movements hesitated, then his cheek took a punch, sending him flying.
Tang Zheng leaned forward, sprinting after the vagrant, and with an uppercut, sent him soaring into the sky, then followed up with a barrage of strikes. His speed was so fast that to the policewoman, he was nothing but afterimages.
After a minute of battering, Tang Zheng finished with an axe-like chop to the vagrant’s head, sending him crashing down, embedded into the road surface.
"Go!" Pang Meiqin darted out, the Demon Ripper’s motor starting up, bringing with it a thunderous roar as it slashed at the vagrant.
The Ripper sliced across its waist, cutting the vagrant in two, but instantly, with a bang, it turned into flames, and then reformed. It sprung up like a cannon shell, pouncing towards Tang Zheng who was still descending.
"Suppress!" With a wave of his hand, Tang Zheng instantly immobilized the vagrant’s body, and stepped on its head, driving it into the ground.
Xu Liangmao and Jing Xiang had no chance to intervene, Pang Meiqin returned, driving the Ripper into the vagrant’s stomach.
Boom, the vagrant turned into flame, spreading rapidly up Tang Zheng’s thigh.
Tang Zheng accelerated gravity, squeezing the air around his body into a vacuum, quickly extinguishing the flames, which reformed into the vagrant.
"Raise your shield!" Pang Meiqin kicked out, striking its head, flipping it over. The situation just now nearly scared the beautiful leg stewardess to death; Tang Zheng’s head was not fireproof.
The vagrant threw a punch, hitting the distracted Pang Meiqin in the stomach and sending her flying, then it melted into more than a dozen flame spears, stabbing at Tang Zheng.
The defense shield broke, and one spear pierced Tang Zheng’s cheek, leaving a burn mark.
"Troublesome. If Xin Lan were here, it would be nice." With this kind of creature that could transform its entire body into an element, Tang Zheng felt like he was unable to exert his strength properly.
Seeing that it couldn’t kill Tang Zheng, the vagrant immediately switched targets, lunging at the policewoman. Except for her and the four Conquerors, there were no more survivors; all the policemen were dead.
"Don’t!" the policewoman shouted as she fled for her life.
Xu Liangmao went into beastification, blocking the vagrant, but although his fist hit the target, his own arm burst into flames.
The miserable man activated his defense shield, but the vagrant turned back into a spear, piercing through the shield and wounding him. In a single encounter, large areas of his skin were severely burned.
Jing Xiang was afraid, but she didn’t run, and then was struck unlucky, hit in the chest by the vagrant’s punch, breaking more than a dozen of her ribs, lying on the ground, coughing up blood, unable to rise.
"Move back." It wasn’t a problem for the vagrant to overpower the second-order Conquerors, especially against hand-to-hand combat types; they were completely outclassed, Pang Meiqin was only unharmed because she relied on the SS-level Ripper’s Demonic Break effect.
The vagrant caught up with the policewoman from behind, about to crush her head in one squeeze, when Tang Zheng appeared beside it, a side kick to its shoulder sent it flying, then he dove in, Moon Blade piercing its eye socket. But the creature immediately turned into flame again, burning anew.
Tang Zheng’s beetle shell popped out, protecting his entire body.
The fruitless vagrant this time attacked Jing Xiang.
