Chapter 1063: Chapter 38: Punishment Troops

The hand grenade sat on the car roof, hissing with white smoke, instantly terrifying the gathered gang members into a hasty retreat.

The man in the suit, with an AK47 muzzle shoved into his mouth, wet himself, his pants soaked with the trickling yellow liquid, dripping onto the ground.

The big boss emerged with his entourage only to witness this spectacle and was immediately stunned.

For a full three minutes, the area outside the Black Blood Bar was silent enough to hear a pin drop, with only the night wind breezing by and everyone’s gaze fixed on the composed figure inside the police car.

"Hmm? Seems like a dud?" Tang Zheng reached out, took the hand grenade from the roof of the car, glanced at it, and stuffed it into the suit man’s collar before stepping out of the car.

"I’m just a policeman, not the president or the mayor; isn’t this welcome ceremony a bit much?" Tang Zheng casually tossed the assault rifle from the car window back into the car and patted the suit man on the shoulder, "Park the car for me."

Seeing that Tang Zheng was unarmed, his subordinates immediately became bolder and aimed their guns at him.

"Hold it!" The big boss, seeing Tang Zheng’s calm demeanor, knew he was a tough cookie and didn’t want trouble, so he quickly stopped his men.

"My friend inside is waiting for me; I wouldn’t want to be late," said Tang Zheng as he walked past the big boss without sparing him a glance.

"Your expenses today are on me!" The big boss, who could handle situations with grace, decided to check Tang Zheng’s identity before determining how to proceed.

The man in the suit let out a cry, hastily fished out the hand grenade from his clothes, and threw it with force under a car.

"What are you afraid of? That was clearly a fake," the big boss had barely finished speaking when the grenade exploded with a bang, flipping the car over.

The underlings from the Tuna gang were collectively dumbstruck, and the suit man, realizing that if he had been a few seconds slower, the grenade would have exploded inside his clothes, broke out in a cold sweat.

"This guy’s a madman!" The big boss was also severely shaken, and his men agreed by nodding—they hadn’t forgotten the grenade had just been on the car roof.

"Go, tell the bartender to take good care of them," the big boss said, his estimation of Tang Zheng rising.

"Tsk, if you had thrown it later, it would’ve been your bad luck." Tang Zheng retrieved the detonator; the hand grenade was a remote-controlled bomb modified for emergencies.

Walking into the bar, Tang Zheng saw Dantai right away—it was hard to miss him, surrounded by five women trying to chat him up, and Dantai Zongqi’s handsome looks and cool, to-the-bone demeanor due to his profession attracted women like moths to flame.

The others were sitting in a corner, among them many beautiful women like the Beautiful Leg Stewardess and a housewife, and even Teng Yuangxiang and a Japanese girl with sakura patterns on her collar seemed approachable. At first, men were hitting on them, but that stopped after one unlucky fellow got his testicles burst with a kick from Pang Meiqin.

Now that unlucky guy lay passed out beside them, serving as a deterrent to other men with ulterior motives.

"A bottle of beer," ordered Tang Zheng as he sat down not far from Dantai.

"What took you so long?" Dantai heard Tang Zheng’s voice and immediately waved his hand, trying to shoo the women away, to no avail.

"Ran into some trouble," Tang Zheng glanced at the women, a smile on his lips as he teased his companion, "Your troubles don’t seem small either!"

"You look sharp in that outfit," Dantai raised his beer bottle, clinking it against Tang Zheng’s in the air.

"Thanks, I’ll go say hi to the others," said Tang Zheng as he got up and walked away.

The women had been entangling Dantai, hoping to seduce him, and now they were peeved at the interruption. As they turned to scold Tang Zheng, they found another exceptional man, which immediately sparked interest in their eyes.

"He’s your friend?" One of the housewives licked her crimson lips, inquiring about Tang Zheng to Dantai, imagining how marvelous it would be to spend the night with both men.

"Yeah, want me to introduce you?" Dantai prepared to tease Tang Zheng, "But he only likes men."

"Right, I only like men," Tang Zheng turned his head, echoing the same line, "Heh, you’re stealing my lines."

"You’re the one stealing mine, okay?" Dantai rolled his eyes, wishing to get away from the women, and walked over to Tang Zheng, wrapping an arm around his shoulder and pretending to lean in for a kiss.

"Hey, you’re not going to actually kiss me, are you?" Tang Zheng quickly raised a hand to block Dantai’s face.

"Of course, it’s fake. I find it disgusting myself," Dantai knew Tang Zheng would block, "I had no choice, those women were too clingy."

The women, witnessing this, were indeed at a loss, except for two whose faces fell, resenting Dantai for not kissing him.

"You’ve lost the women, but you better prepare for the men!" Tang Zheng nodded his chin, pointing towards a few gays in the corner eyeing Dantai and him eagerly, with one already making his way over.

"You’re forcing me to lose it!" Dantai grumbled and pulled out his handgun, aiming at the approaching gay man.

The man, who had been excited a moment before, froze, stopped in his tracks, and raised his hands to show he meant no harm.

"Come, check out our new cop!" Walking to the booth, Dantai introduced Tang Zheng, patting his police badge as he did.

Teng Yuangxiang and Pang Meiqin’s attention immediately shifted his way, their eyes brightening at the sight of Tang Zheng in uniform. Teng Little Three was practically itching to be manhandled by him.
