Chapter 1043: Chapter 22: Dominant Annihilation
With the power of demons, the middle-aged man had single-handedly established the Viper Gang, savoring the sweetness of authority and status. However, today, as he watched inferior demons and Demonic Flies continuously die, unable to kill his opponents as before, he grew afraid and wanted to flee.
A shock wave swept through the entire office, sending debris flying. The Poison Snake Tattoo on the middle-aged man’s neck cracked, oozing blood, causing a burning pain that left him unable to hold onto the US dollars. He fell to the ground, rolling and twitching non-stop.
The Poison Snake Tattoo was the summoning magic array. Starting from it, complex patterns spread across the man’s entire body, then crept across the floor. As red lights illuminated, scorching Mars began to drift.
"Wait, let him summon the demon. Going out late at night and not killing a boss would be a loss," Tang Zheng stopped Anna just as she raised her gun to blow the middle-aged man’s head off, interrupting the summoning ceremony.
"Don’t be full of hot air. If you get killed by a demon, I won’t care," Anna, after all, was only a second-order explosive Conqueror, and not one of combat ability. She could handle massacring weaklings but shrank back at the sight of this menacing summoning ceremony.
"I’ll protect you, but you have to let me feel you up first!" Davis licked the corner of his lips and cackled, his gaze, however, fixated on Pang Meiqin, "Aren’t you scared? I can protect you too!"
The beautiful leg stewardess snorted coldly and fiercely flipped him the middle finger.
As the red smoke dissipated, a monster resembling a human-headed Snake God, over ten meters long, adorned with a dark red complexion, four arms, and wielding a massive sickle, appeared in the room.
"Master, why have you taken twenty years off my life?" the middle-aged man, enduring the acute pain, questioned the demon. His skin was drying up, visibly aging as he spoke.
"You’re useless now. It feels good to eat my fill in one go!" The Snake Demon’s head resembled that of a human, only with foot-long venom fangs smeared with green liquid. Its forked tongue flicking in and out, it hissed ominously.
"Master, you can’t do this. We’ve signed a contract," the middle-aged man, full of fear, crawled towards the Snake Demon, "I don’t want to die. Give my life back to me!"
"You look so disgusting. Didn’t you think about this outcome when you made a deal with a demon? Did you expect a peaceful end?" The Snake Demon sneered, swinging its arm. The sickle left a silver streak in the air; the middle-aged man’s body split open like butter. As blood sprayed, his upper body slid off along the cut, dropping organs all over the floor.
"What are you waiting for? Fight, pitiful humans!" The Snake Demon turned towards Tang Zheng and the others, a smile full of confidence on its face as if victory was already in its grasp.
"One-on-one? Or a brawl? Pick one," said Tang Zheng, deliberately provoking the demon to divert its attention.
"Human, do you know who you are speaking to? Mind your..." The Snake Demon hadn’t even finished expressing its ’attitude’ when an axe, like a meteor breaking through the atmosphere, boomed into its skull with a piercing whistle.
Hiss, the axe embedded in the demon’s cranium, and the blood gushing out flooded its face.
After throwing the axe, Tang Zheng leaned forward, pounced out like a cheetah, and, with a twisted waist and swinging arm, using the momentum, he hammered at the demon’s head with his clenched fist.
Because of his full-force explosion, Tang Zheng’s arm muscles swelled, and veins bulged, stretching the protective clothing taut.
Bang, the demon, which had been boasting just seconds earlier, plunged its head towards the ground as if struck by a siege hammer; the forceful impact transmitted to the floor, shattering it into a spiderweb pattern, sending stone splatter everywhere.
"Do you think I’ve got nothing better to do than listen to your nonsense?" Tang Zheng spoke flippantly and instantly erupted into a third-order stance, using the momentum of his punch to perform a forward somersault in mid-air. His right leg, straight as a war axe, slammed down on the freshly risen Snake Demon.
Bang, among the flying debris, the floor collapsed, and the demon’s head plunged in like a carrot, with half of its upper body unable to escape, sinking in as well.
The Snake Demon howled in pain, then a moment later felt lucky; had it not been for the long-handled sickle stuck in the hole, it would have definitely fallen through.
Tang Zheng, after executing his axe-kick, crouched low, hammering his fists into the demon’s belly, watching the flesh dent and bulge, skin splitting apart.
The Snake Demon was miserable, wishing it had fallen through earlier. The position prevented it from counterattacking.
Tang Zheng used his ferocious fists to beat down on the Snake Demon. At third-order, his foundation was near perfect, placing him in the top three among the Conquerors, not to mention the Hero Mode. Even in daily life, every cell in his body was slowly evolving.
A burst of red blood fog exploded from his skin, enveloping him, making Tang Zheng resemble a blazing flame. His every muscle and blood vessel seemed to breathe, to pulse, thirstily craving for combat!
The Snake Demon roared, emitting a sound wave sharp enough to pierce eardrums, vibrating the walls until they cracked. It still had a tail, which it swung like a siege hammer towards Tang Zheng’s head.
"Tang Zheng, catch the axe!" Pang Meiqin growled, flinging away the Demonic Fly in front of her and tossing the axe in her hand.
Tang Zheng, firmly stepping on the Snake Demon’s belly to pin it down, didn’t even look as he stretched out his hand and confidently caught the spinning axe. He immediately struck it against the demon’s tail.
The demon’s skin was tough, and due to the severe collision, the axe blade actually slid across it, sparking flames. Had the weapon not been so poor, the tail would have undoubtedly been chopped off. Still, this blow was thwarted.
Tang Zheng tossed aside the rolled blade of the axe and, with his fingers shaped like a knife, thrust into the already tender stomach that had been softened by hammer blows. He then grabbed the flesh and tore it apart.
The Viper Demon screamed miserably as its belly was ripped open, releasing a foul stench that filled the entire room. It swung its long-handled scythe blindly, not being able to see Tang Zheng, and slashed wildly.
Tang Zheng grasped the handle of the knife and yanked hard, pulling the Viper Demon’s head out of the hole in the ground and then kicked it away.
Crack, its jaw shattered!
The demonic flies and lesser demons attacked Tang Zheng, trying to buy time for the Viper Demon to escape, but they were all sent flying with a single punch from Tang Zheng, unable to even last a breath’s time.
Davis and Anna watched as the Viper Demon was pummeled by Tang Zheng like a punching bag, and they both stood frozen. Hearing the sound of its jaw breaking sent chills down their spines, and they felt the pain acutely.
"This demon is pretty weak, isn’t it?" Davis’s mouth twitched as he spoke incredulously, "This guy definitely isn’t the BOSS!"
Anna shook her head. Considering the grand summoning ceremony, this creature was clearly a powerful BOSS, at least capable of tormenting a first stage Conqueror, but under Tang Zheng’s assaults, it had no power to fight back, only to be beaten.
Anna was right. The Viper Demon’s strength was indeed capable of killing five first stage Conquerors who had ganged up on it; too bad it encountered Tang Zheng.
Tang Zheng snatched the long-handled scythe and drove it into the Viper Demon’s skull, pulling hard and splitting it in two. The fight lasted a minute, with the summoned demon not able to launch a single attack or even touch Tang Zheng before being blasted to pieces.
The dead Viper Demon turned into black ash, vanishing from the room, along with the lesser demons and demonic flies, leaving behind only the destroyed bar.
"Go pick up the money." Tang Zheng picked up the two dropped Golden Seeds and had Pang Meiqin fetch the bag of US dollars.
Davis and Anna exchanged a look, without any resentment, as Tang Zheng’s strength had thoroughly stabilized them.
"Congratulations to Tang Zheng for killing the boss level monster Viper Demon, awarded three hundred sin points, Space Wristwatch unlocked; you may access C-level or below equipment," announced the Red Trojan Horse, closing off any loopholes any survivor might exploit, "Please note, weapons are for personal use only."
Tang Zheng tried it out and couldn’t even withdraw unblemished firearms, but thankfully, there were still plenty of ordinary firearms, or else it would have been miserable.
"You all have wristwatches?" Davis saw one on Pang Meiqin’s wrist too and was extremely envious.
"Want one? If you have some top-notch equipment, you can exchange it," said Tang Zheng, who had several more to spare. It wouldn’t be bad to trade them for something.
"Group Leader, you’re very impressive!" Anna said with a smile, hugging Tang Zheng’s arm and squeezing out a deep cleavage with her breasts.
"Let’s go," Tang Zheng said as he pushed Anna away, who knows how many men had been with this woman.
"Tsk tsk, ran into someone not interested in women," Davis followed him out.
Many onlookers had gathered outside the bar, thinking it was just an ordinary gang fight. With no police around—these guys always show up at the last moment—Tang Zheng and the others easily escaped through the back door.
Dantai guessed Tang Zheng would take the back door, so he waited there with the newbies, and they all disappeared into the night together.
Zhang Heng actually didn’t die. Awakening just in time, he escaped from the bar, though his face was horrendously disfigured.
Back at the inn, Tang Zheng saw that it was the honest man at the front desk; Ruan Feifei, finding it boring, had gone to sleep, and the newbies were all too anxious to sleep, rushing out of their rooms when they heard the Group Leader had returned safely.
"Everyone go rest; we can discuss any matters tomorrow," Yu Manli clapped her hands to send the newbies off.
"Group Leader, you’re staying in room number one on the second floor; there’s hot water, and the bedding is all new," Yu Manli, not showing any airs of a billionaire, had Tang Zheng’s living arrangements well organized.
Li Xinlan actually wanted to do it, but she couldn’t intervene and couldn’t act as unseemly as the mature woman.
"Thanks," Tang Zheng expressed his gratitude.
After showering, Tang Zheng came out drying his hair and saw Teng Yuangxiang sitting on the sofa, intently peeling an apple.
