In This Rebirth, The Male Lead Is Mine [BL] -
Chapter 81: Possessive
Chapter 81: Possessive
Kamille had stared at him deeply before, yet this felt somehow different. Was it because of Thalia?
"Guild Leader... Did you eat already?" He attempted to divert the attention from Thalia. Which was also so obvious in front of Kamille.
Kamille did not answer immediately; instead, he glanced at Hayes, who were hesitating whether to stay or ask for permission to leave. He really did not want to be caught in the middle of these two.
As Kamille said, Hayes’ ability to sense his surroundings and where to place himself in unexpected situations was one good trait of him. Hayes already felt that if he stayed... He would be a third wheel!
He did not know why he thought so, but his instinct just told him to!
"Yes, Guild Leader?" He was still alert, noticing this gaze.
"You can head first," Kamille ordered, who did not even wait for an answer and returned his attention to Rise. "I already did."
Hayes’s left eyelid kept twitching; this was his sign to leave! Bowing his head for a second, he immediately entered his room.
When he was out of sight, Rise had the urge to also follow Hayes, but Kamille took his wrist, preventing any escape from happening.
Wait... escape? Why was he suddenly thinking of that? Rise really did not know what he did wrong.
"Uh, Guild Leader..."
"I already ate, but we have something to discuss."
Kamille opened the door of his room, and Rise subconsciously swallowed his saliva.
"Discuss what?" Rise asked in a daze.
Kamille turned to him, the room was dark, and half of his body was already stepping inside, shrouding half of his face with shadows. For half a second, Rise thought he saw Kamille’s left pupils turn crimson.
But maybe it was only the reflection of the lights.
Rise’s heart raced. He glanced slightly at the dark room, then at Kamille, who exuded a similar feeling.
Yet, he did not feel scared. In fact... Rise was excited. He did not exactly know why, but he just knew.
"What do you think?" Kamille did not directly answer him as he led Rise inside the dark room, and the moment Rise’s foot stepped inside, the pounding of his heart only increased.
The darkness became prominent when the door was shut by Kamille. The two stood by the door, Rise felt the surface of the door with his back. Looking up, even with the darkness, he could still outline Kamille’s face.
Cornering him by the doorstep, Kamille looked down on him, his hands on either side of Rise’s waist. Their breaths intertwined with how close they were.
Huh? Rise had yet to figure out what was making Kamille this way. If he did... He would use this tactic over and over again. He never knew something like this would happen.
Kamille seemed triggered by something...
"Guild Leader... It’s dark." Rise especially makes his voice low and trailing off, giving a sense of fragility.
Kamille’s pupils flickered slightly. Rise was acting; that much was obvious. He knew the switch to provoke him the most, and yet each time, Kamille could not help but succumb to it.
"Do you find Thalia interesting?" Instead of responding to Rise, Kamille suddenly brought this up for no reason. He sounded so curious too.
"Thalia?" Rise repeated this name, confused.
However, Kamille’s expression only turned darker. He finally hooked his arm around Rise, making the other yelp in the sudden action; they were practically embracing at this point.
"You seemed fond of her," Kamille whispered darkly beside Rise’s ears, tickling him and making him shiver with the heat.
Rise bit his lips, holding the gasp that was about to leave his mouth.
Fuck, Kamille’s deep voice turned him on.
He could not even think normally. Whenever he was with Kamille, his scheming mind would turn mushy all of a sudden.
"I... I do." Rise honestly answered. After all, he really did. Thalia was his number one and only fan, a crazy one at that, deserving to be his fan.
Kamille’s arm around Rise tightened, veins protruded on his hand. His gaze narrowed in a dangerous light.
As a result of this proximity, their bodies were drawing closer, to the point Rise could feel it... His throat dried. It was not even hard yet... Damn, it felt so huge.
"You do?" Kamille had no clue what had gotten to him. He was not an unreasonable person, and Thalia was also a friend he had known since he was young, but the thought of Rise being fascinated with her...
It was driving him crazy. No, just the thought of another Esper being guided by Rise was enough for Kamille to go mad.
This must be a kind of possessiveness one’s Esper to his guide. Rise was his personal Guide... and thus he was his. The deepest thoughts of him seemed to be agreeing with this, saying this was just natural.
His rationality seemed not present at this moment. All he could see was how Rise interacted with Thalia, the first since he had known him. Kamille was used to the way Rise only had him in his eyes, clinging to him as though his life depended on it.
"You found her beautiful?" Kamille’s lips touched Rise’s air, almost kissing it. The dangerous glint in his eyes only grew intense; crimson hues were now apparent.
His emotions were chaotic, leading to his deepest thoughts and desires to surface. And in the center of this storm... Rise. It was always Rise.
Rise’s lips parted, he trembled in Kamille’s arms.
"Uh... not... not much."
"Hmm?" Kamille’s tongue touched Rise’s ears, and bit it. "So you did find her beautiful?"
What the hell! His eyes searched Kamille’s gaze, he found this situation so... so surprisingly good! Why was Kamille so worked up? Wait... was he... jealous?
Rise bit his lips to sound a moan this time. The thought of Rise being jealous aroused him so much. His eyes widened when he felt his lower body making a reaction, now poking with Kamille’s own.
In fact, he was so sure that Kamille could feel as well.
