In This Rebirth, The Male Lead Is Mine [BL] -
Chapter 73: Return
Chapter 73: Return
Kamille halted on his steps, locking his gaze with someone. At the end of the hallway stood Mitchell, the Guild Leader of Blue.
The two assessed each other, merely staring without saying anything.
Kamille took a step forward, continuing until he was about to pass by Mitchell.
"How did you do it?" When Kamille was behind him, Mitchell suddenly spoke. There was uncertainty in his tone.
The Guild Leader who was known for his arrogance and wild demeanor, seemed cautious for some reason.
"Rise... he... How did you recruit him?"
Kamille stopped his steps once more. How did he recruit Rise? Thinking about it, he almost let out a chuckle.
"I’m also curious of the reason." Mitchell snapped his head to the side, looking at Kamille with a bewildered expression.
Unfortunately for him, Kamille was not someone to elaborate on his thoughts to others, especially to someone who was clearly hostile to him.
"Ask him yourself." Kamille only ended with that and continued. He was not polite at all, he knew when he was not welcome.
Truthfully, he was indeed curious about how Rise seemed so devoted to him. The first time they met each other, Kamille already sensed that... Rise were so familiar with him, which was proven by the subsequent events that happened.
Entering the room prepared for him, Kamille did not linger or observe his surroundings, immediately laying down on the huge bed. Kamille closed his eyes.
Under the dim light, the corner of his lips slowly lifted slightly, and his pupils flashed with a crimson hue.
"Everything has become so interesting."
His words seemed to echo eerily in the dark room. The moment he met Rise, Kamille thought living was not a boring task after all.

The next day, the three boarded the special aircraft that was prepared by Blue under their Guild Leader’s orders. Everyone thought it was out of respect for Kamille, and no one thought it was actually for Rise’s convenience.
Kamille still had a lot of work waiting for him, which was pending for two weeks now after his gate escapades with Rise. Although, his presence really was not necessary to keep the operation of the Guild, some of the important decisions were still up to him to decide.
The flight only took three hours, it partly because of the quality of the aircraft itself being one of the masterpieces of the Blue Guild. Operating it was expensive though, needing a higher grade mana stone as its fuel.
After two weeks, they had finally returned to the Dark Crimson Guild.
Rise, holding Riri pointed at the huge building.
"That will be your home from now on." He whispered with a smile, even having pride in his tone.
Home... Riri blinked his innocent eyes.
He did not know this feeling, but... He was looking forward to it. A small smile appeared on his lips, the cute plump cheeks became prominent even more because of that smile.
Rise was affected and also could not help but smile.
Not far from them, Kamille watched the two, his expression softening.
And so, the duo had become a trio as they returned.
The work had piled up on his desk, and Kamille quickly returned to his work mode. Before the convention next week, he wanted to finish most of it.
After the fight on the field, Kamille was up to another battlefield, which was paperwork.
"Giving an identity to the kid, Guild Leader?"
As usual, Hayes acted as his secretary.
Kamille nodded seriously, without looking up.
Hayes could not keep up for a moment. He looked at the document that Kamille had given him. This was truly too sudden.
The Guild Leader had just left for two weeks, and suddenly they returned with a kid. While only a few witnessed the kid’s appearance, some nosy individuals were quickly having a field day with their gossip.
Everyone was part of the guild, and so it only took place in their respective party group chats. Hayes did not know when the rumors would also spread, though.
Now... This would not really help with the rumors.
Hayes looked down and read the document.
Kamri Han.
The kid’s surname and the Guild Leader’s relationship with him were unclear and ambiguous, but it clearly stated that Rise and Kamille would take the guardianship position.
"Uh, Guild Leader... I may be out of line, but I’m curious. Can I ask about the kid’s relationship with you?"
While it speculated, the Guild Leader suddenly popped out with a kid somewhere; Hayes knew this was impossible. He was with the Guild Leader since he took the position of the Guild Leader eight years ago.
The child looked only five years old, and Hayes could testify that the Guild Leader only focused on dealing with gates and he had no time for any romantic encounters. Sometimes, he even suspected if the Guild Leader even had any desires for that department.
"Are you asking if he’s my son?" Unlike Hayes, Kamille was straightforward and did not have qualms about rumors. "You can think of that he is."
Kamille just brushed it off like nothing, as though the rumors that would be created with this news would not affect him in the slightest.
Or perhaps, it was indeed so.
Hayes opened his mouth about to say something, but he held back. He touched and moved his glasses. He almost wanted to hit himself.
Clearly, the Guild Leader was telling him not to care about the rumors as well. Whether Riri was Kamille’s son or not, all he needed to do was register him.
"I see, I understand, Guild Leader."
Kamille paused, then nodded, continuing. What he really liked about Hayes aside from efficiency was his ability to understand the situation.
Hayes’ combat ability was not even one of the strongest in the guild, yet he decisively put him as his second-in-command. He did not need another strong Esper as his second, he was enough. He needed a competent individual other than being strong to help him manage the guild.
Hayes was exactly like that.
"The others?" Kamille asked another, to which Hayes immediately understood and replied.
"They are temporarily back in their respective parties, raiding and clearing gates."
It was not only Rise and Kamille who were not idle; the other members of the temporary part who would come with them in the convention were also using this timeframe to prepare.
While he asked, Kamille did not seem too interested, as he did not ask anymore after that.
Hayes then asked for permission to leave; he was about to run around again, fulfilling Kamille’s orders.
As he said, being secretary of a Guild Leader was not as romantic as Rise thought.
