In This Rebirth, The Male Lead Is Mine [BL] -
Chapter 61: Sauce
Chapter 61: Sauce
When he was already alone, Rise finally realized that perhaps... That guy from Blue Guild happened to get lucky and stumbled upon the weakened flesh, which was so close to dying.
And the reason Blue Guild did not disclose anything was that there was nothing to be disclosed to begin with. After all, a lot would happen in two years, the time when the gate was cleared.
Anyway, Rise not being there personally could only deduce based on what he encountered and could not say he was right in his speculations.
The matter with the massive flesh was basically over, but the implications truly help Rise. Maybe, just maybe, he needed to brace himself to encounter the same anomalies in the future.
Rise gradually adapted to being part of the guild again, or more like the guild were finally accepting the reality that he was indeed part of the guild from now on.
Just like that, another week had passed. It was officially two weeks since he returned.
Rise and Kamille’s two A-rank gate raids went smoothly. As the gates were considered the guild’s property after they were purchased, it was more of a private matter, and they were free to impose strict regulations against non-personnel individuals, mostly reporters.
The two raids went smoothly, to the point that Rise was a bit disappointed somehow since their first raid, while traumatizing gave him quite a surprise.
Still, his first purpose to spend time with Kamille was achieved, more or less.
The two of them cleared both gates without any help, so they spent a week for both.
After completing the two gates, they were down to the last one, the Special B-Rank Gate.
In the west of the federation, there was a chaotic zone between the routes of two yellow zone cities. However, as the chaotic zone was neither part of the territories of the two guilds, it was considered a wild gate.
Looking at the huge vortex hanging in the air, Rise’s eyes grew bright with anticipation.
The item... will be mine. No, everything Epsilon would have, I’ll take it. This did not count as stealing... Technically, it was still ownerless, so, finders keepers, right?
He was a petty bitch, so what?
Rise cackled, filled with sinister intentions. Fortunately, it was only his mind, otherwise, everyone would think he was again had gone mad.
A bit of backtrack to an hour before they landed at their destination, inside the Guild Leader’s special aircraft. They spent a whole fourteen hours on this flight alone.
Routes had long become messed up, and one also needed to be aware of any peculiarities along the journey.
Sitting leisurely, Rise ate his meal before they landed. This might be his last decent meal for about three days.
"Guild Leader," Rise called, putting sauce in the chicken. "Do you want to eat?"
This was the third time actually that he invited Kamille. The other was also half-lying on the seat not far from him, reading some files. Each time, he was rejected.
Again, even without looking at him, Kamille refused. "You go ahead."
Clearly, he was not interested in eating. For him, three meals and occasional snacks a day were enough. On the contrary, Rise would eat whenever he felt a slight hunger or if he craved something.
During this flight alone, Rise seemed to eat five or six different sets of meals and cuisines. One might wonder where he was storing that much food in his thin body.
Rise’s body was not overly thin but lean enough to have muscles, but that was it. He was not the type to be seen to have such a big appetite.
Rise put down the chicken bone at the side and looked at his Guild Leader, who was busy even while they were on a flight.
"Do you not want unhealthy foods, Guild Leader?"
Rise wanted to have the conversation and such simple topics would do.
Sounds of papers being flipped dominated for a moment before Kamille answered and lightly glanced at Rise, who had then already stopped and was just waiting for an answer.
"How unhealthy do you mean?"
Rise shrugged, "Just, takeouts, fast foods, and the like. Not made of fresh ingredients or something."
He was reminded of something suddenly. Kamille forbade him from eating such foods before saying they were unhealthy, but then, all of a sudden, ordered fast food takeout after Rise whined to him a lot of times because of his craving.
So, maybe he was not that prejudiced toward them that much.
Kamille blinked as if confused. "Why the sudden question?"
"Nothing, I’m just curious."
"Do you like eating them?" Kamille did not answer directly but returned the question instead.
Rise immediately nodded his head repeatedly. Unhealthy or whatnot, they were good!
Kamille’s eyes lowered slightly, and he glanced at the food on Rise’s plate.
"I’m not particular with food,"
He did not directly say he did not eat them, but he also did not say he was open to eating them.
"Then, do you want to taste it? It’s good,"
Rise did not know how his sudden curiosity had led to this point, but he was opening his arms wide open to this sudden opportunity!
Without waiting for an answer, Rise was already in front of Kamille and had had a chicken on his hand offered to Kamille’s mouth, oozing with sauce.
"Try it, Guild Leader." He smiled, nodding his head, and was already waiting for Kamille to open his mouth.
Kamille, not quite expecting this, fell into a moment of silence. In the end, without any choice, he could only open his mouth and accept. He bit on the chicken, which his mouth managed to bit slightly to Rise’s finger.
Their eyes did not break eye contact during this time; somehow there was a suggestive air in the atmosphere that did not quite match their current setting.
Kamille, with a chicken in his mouth, slowly chewed on it, looking up to Rise’s eye. On the other hand, Rise was slightly leaning toward Kamille, his hand still close to Kamille’s mouth, soaked with sauce.
Somehow, he could still feel Kamille’s mouth and the subtle touch of his tongue at the tip of his finger. Rise blinked, and both stayed at their positions, looking at each other.
A mischievous and impulsive side of Rise kicked in, smiling suggestively.
"Guild Leader, how is it?" He asked then looked at his finger, "Oops, there’s still sauce left."
Kamille swallowed the food and then looked at the finger, which indeed was still soaked with sauce. He lifted his gaze once more, and soon, his mouth had now sucked on those sauce-filled fingers, cleaning them until there was not any trace of sauce.
Rise swallowed heavily; his heart raced, but the mischievous smile was already stuck on his lips.
"It’s good..." Kamille then spoke, his voice became deeper and he said another, "It tastes good."
It was a wonder if he was talking about the chicken, the sauce, or the other.
