In This Rebirth, The Male Lead Is Mine [BL]
Chapter 139: Before Returning

Chapter 139: Before Returning

"You don’t need to tell me everything." Rise assured Thalia with a gentle smile. After a short discussion, Rise cut it early and prefers not to talk about it in depth for now.

They were not exactly in the right place or at the right time.

Rise reached out and patted Thalia’s head in a soft touch. Making the other enjoyed it for a moment and nodded her head in agreement.

Rise smiled at that, Thalia was like... a loyal follower that he never knew he needed.

"First, rest." Rise did not want to push the other too much. "Be familiar with this... uh, timeline? Well, make sure not to talk of anything out of the ordinary."

Thalia continued to nod her head, and Rise even wondered if the other could hear him. He could only sigh; let it be.

As he went on nagging Thalia, the other suddenly interrupted and inquired.

"Uhm... Are you two... lovers now?" Without saying who, anyone who were familia with Rise would know who Thalia was talking about.

Rise finally paused, his voice slowly mellowed until he could only stare at Thalia.

"We’re not... yet." Rise suddenly and look at the door. "As you can see... Something is different this time."

Thalia looked at him and muttered in a meaningful gaze, "It’s different each time."

Rise snapped to her side; there was no way he could not hear that, even with how low Thalia’s voice was. "Huh? What do you mean?"

Thalia fidgeted and yet did not break their eye contact; her beautiful face was always like an open book whenever she was facing Rise.

"It’s fine..." Rise assured and lowered his voice. "Just don’t tell the specifics."

There was a kind of censorship for some reason whenver a word not allowed to say out loud was voiced out. Rise had experimented a lot of things with Hayes and some of the party members as well.

And if it was even more restricted, something like what happened with the massive flesh might happen.

"It..." Thalia’s voice seemed to become emphasized in Rise’s ears as he attentively listened to it, afraid he might miss something.

"It isn’t the first time."

Rise was still thinking about that on the way to where Kamille might be. After that talk with Thalia, they did not continue anymore, and Rise was also becoming uneasy, and more often than not it was only related to Kamille.

Unsurprisingly, Kamille was not waiting outside the door, and Hayes also did not know where. Rise did not mind that his growing connection with Kamille would lead him to him.

And that was exactly how Rise found himself standing before a huge magic circle once more. He stopped in his tracks; his gaze naturally landed on one person at the center of it.

Of course... this isn’t the first time.

Rise slowly stepped one after another until he was already at the boundary of the black fire territory. It coiled ass though wanting to lick and devoured anyone that stumbled upon it.

His Guild Leader stood almost unrecognizable for others but not for Rise. Although this might also be the first time he had seen this form, he could recognize Kamille just the same.

Kamille was almost shrouded by the black fire; his crimson pupils dangerously flickered, seemingly to search for the possible prey. Then they landed at the only person besides him inside that cave... Rise.

His gaze stared menacingly at Rise, his expression almost nowhere to be seen in the darkness and the shadows. This emphasized his dangerous appearance even more.

Anyone with the right mind would scramble to their feet and escape by now, but Rise was not just anyone.

Rise took a step forward; at each step he took, his heart would skip a beat as though in harmony with someone, someone was calling at him. Since he entered this cave, Rise had been feeling that.

"Guild Leader," Rise called calmly, without any hint of fear. His gaze also softened significantly. "You went without me," he teasingly added, as though having a subtle complaint.

Rise noticed how Kamille’s eyes blinked and yet continued to watch Rise’s every move.

If one looked closely, Rise had already entered the magic circle where the black fire was concentrated, and yet... He was not yet devoured by it, and instead, the black fire consciously created a path for him, avoiding him as he passed by.

Sometimes, the fire would also coil at him, but they seemed to be more like docile pets rather than dangerous demons.

It did not take too long, and he was already before Kamille, just a step of a distance between each other. Rise could not take a closer look at Kamille and his condition.

He did not say anything yet, and so did Rise, both assessing each other. Rise did not exactly know if Kamille was sober in this state since he was only looking at him.

Kamille’s appearance was just the same; just his pupils were a darker shade of red; they almost occupied all of his eyes. This probably was what made him look more evil than he usually was.

Rise’s gaze then also lowered to Kamille’s neck, where black veins and tattoos appeared, some stretching to his cheek.

He stared at it and could not help but gulp...

Damn, he’s so sexy? Rise shook his head. No, this was not the damn time to be horny.

He composed himself and lifted his gaze only to realize that Kamille had not stopped looking at him since earlier.

"Guild leader?" Again, Rise called, trying to find out if the other was sober enough to make conversations. Kamille did not respond, but he continued to stare at Rise.

Rise reached out and touched Kamille’s cheek as he traced the dark veins, marveling at their beauty. He was truly brave, as though he was certain that Kamille, even if not sober, would not do anything to him.

And he was right; Kamille let Rise touch him, not giving any sort of negative reaction. This gave a small smile at Rise’s lips, he was just glad that Kamille always tolerated him no matter his form.

"So, they’re right," Rise mumbled, tracing the veins as he began guiding Kamille, the tips of his fingers slowly activated their connection.

This made Kamille sigh and close his eyes. Rise chuckled, and he finally took the last step, drawing them closer. His other hand then hung at Kamille’s neck.

"You love it?" Rise teased; his other hand now touched Kamille’s nape, drawing circles in a teasing manner, his guiding wavelength now completely mixed and connected with the other.

No matter what, Rise would not stop wondering if the others, an Esper and a Guide with high compatibility, also felt this way in their guiding session. That made him a bit bitter, wanting to monopolize this sensation between them.

Kamille did not respond, but with how his hand was now starting to wrap around Rise, the answer was much more obvious. He also leaned his face more on Rise’s hand, faintly rubbing on them.

Rise let out a giggle again; his uneasy feeling disappeared like smoke. Guiding sessions with them were not only about Kamille being guided but also a form of recharging for Rise.

Rise stared at Kamille’s face as he guided him.

Kamille was truly different this time. This made him more convinced that what he knew about Kamille was also just the surface. In the almost five years he stood beside Kamille, he had never seen him strain himself like this to the point of having to show a form more extreme than the extreme he was familiar with.

Now, he understood how the nobles they encountered in the past always asked if Kamille was a human. He often associated that with the fact that the nobles did not want their defeat to be at the hands of a human, and so their minds were shaken.

Now... Rise also began to wonder if Kamille was really human.

"What are you thinking?" A small whisper made him snap out of his thoughts, slightly startling him.

"Huh?" When Rise looked into Kamille’s eyes again, he was now locked on a pair of crimson pupils. "You’re awake, Guild Leader?"

Rise was really surprised.

Kamille pulled him closer, leaning his face forward; their faces were much closer now.

"I’ve always been."

Rise pursed his lips at that. "Then, why aren’t you answering me?"

Kamille had yet to respond when Rise spoke again, now with a hint of shock.

"Also... You’re in the normal state?"

It seemed this shocked him more than the fact that Kamille might not be a real human. Kamille did not become the wild Kamille?

Kamille then looked at him in the eye, his gaze deep.

"Do I look normal to you?" Kamille’s brows rose, inquiring in a slightly sharp tone.

"Uh, well," Rise blinked, hesitating.

Kamille did not really look normal despite his calmness.

Seeing him unable to answer, Kamille let out a laugh, burying his face in Rise’s shoulder. He then inhaled Rise’s calming scent.

"This is my normal state." Kamille smiled softly, his hands then tightly embracing Rise as though wanting to possess him, to make him unable to escape his grasp.

Under his calm demeanor was Kamille’s true nature, the combination of both the ’normal’ and ’extreme’. That was the true him. Although the word true might be a bit subjective when it came to him.

"Rise..." Kamille called, lifting his head and locking his gaze straight with Rise.

"What is it, Guild Leader?" Rise also smiled, loving how clingy Kamille had become.

Kamille stared at him for a few seconds, not saying anything more. Rise only waited patiently.

"It’s over now."

Rise could not help but tilt his head, stunned. He did not understand.

"Huh?"
