Chapter 124: Pill

If Kamille could really move at this moment, no, if only he could muster his ability, Rise would be swept away as far as possible. Unfortunately, he was incapable of doing that.

"What do you want?" Kamille suppressed his anger, clenching his teeth. If he got mad now, he was the one that would be affected and not Rise. Since he would have a coughing fit while this troublemaker did not care.

Rise’s lips lifted mischievously, looking down slightly as to stare straight at the fuming Kamille.

"I already said what I want, isn’t it?"

Kamille stared at Rise’s audacity before he could only surrender for now. He took a deep breath, calming himself.

"Oh, wait, Guild Leader Han, do you know who I am?" Rise suddenly asked, stopping Kamille to finally talk about what happened inside the gate and finally get rid of him.

Kamille did not even bother to say anything and nodded. Of course, he knew Rise Lee, but his impression was not deep, only knowing his bad reputation at least.

"Too bad." Rise clicked his tongue. "I guess I should be afraid of you hunting me after this."

Even though he said that, his tone did not have the slightest hint of fear but even carried a kind of anticipation instead.

Kamille gave him a side eye; clear disdain was visble in his gaze.

"You’re thinking too much." He was not too petty to hunt Rise, or more like, he did not need to do that personally; he had his subordinates for that.

"Really?" Rise looked at him, assessing if he was saying the truth. However, he could not read anything other than contempt, so he shrugged. "Then, that’s fine. I’m used to it already, being hunted, I mean."

There were a lot who hated him and wanted him dead, after all.

"Should I start or you’ll waste time like this?" Kamille was not one to talk like this, but Riise seemed to have a special way to bring that side of his, which was not exactly calm like he usually was.

If anyone who knew him heard this, they might be truly shocked and then wonder why he was even bothering to talk with Rise, known for his provocations.

It seemed Kamille was not excluded from the lists that Rise could provoke.

Rise laughed at that, then finally went back to the business.

"What happened inside, Guild Leader Han?"

Kamille paused slightly, as though pondering whether to continue with this stupid exchange, but recalling that Rise was using his back as a seat made him determined to get rid of him.

"There’s nothing much." Kamille spoke rather languidly. "It’s like a normal gate."

"That’s it?" Rise doubted it; if not, how could he be so battered like this?

"Want me to finish or not?"

Rise bit his lips and giggled. Kamille did not even bother to ask why he was acting so silly again. He continued with his small story.

"It’s really a normal lower-ranked gate."

Kamille recounted what happened in a conscise manner. He did not lie when he said that the gate was a normal gate, but halfway throuigh something happened, the gate was about to be closed and he had yet to clear it which basically means he might get trapped inside.

The space of this dimension where collapsing at a fastest speed that some gates where also expeiriencing such instability. Kamille just had to speed up of clearing the gate and using his other ability was the best use.

However, he failed to consider his extreme side’s bloodlust. So, rather than only defeating the boss, Kamille had to clean up everyone inside, which he only finished at the last minute.

The one that injured him was the unstable closing gate, that was all.

Rise was frowning as he listened to Kamille; it was just that... it was not what he was expecting.

"That’s it?" Rise rubbed his chin and asked.

Kamille nodded.

Of course, what Rise heard was not the whole truth; at least Kamille did not say things like ’extreme side’ and such, but that he spent time killing everyone inside.

"Wow, that’s dumb and... boring." Rise rolled his eyes; his excitement died down.

He thought that there would be a noble inside, so much for all that suspense.

Kamille caught his breath. "Will you leave now?"

He could not wait for Rise to leave.

"Let me talk about it." Rise smiled, but soon he stood up and laughed dryly. "I’m just kidding, really."

Rise had to step back; it would not do him good if he pissed off Kamille Han too much. The murderous gaze was enough for him to behave slightly.

"But before that," Rise rummaged to his storage space. "Oh, here it is." He crouched slightly again and gave a pill-like item to Kamille.

"I said I’ll help you if you recounted what happened inside the gate you stole from me; although it was boring, you’ve fulfilled the other end of agreement, and now it’s my time." Rise sounded so righteous, making Kamille almost have a coughing fit again with how ridiculous it was.

Kamille looked at him and then at the item before closing his eyes, planning to rest.

"You don’t need to, just leave." The biggest help Rise could give was him leaving Kamille alone.

Of course, Rise was in his righteous mode, and so he shook his head.

"It’s not poison. I won’t kill you when you’re already on the verge of death." It was as though he might do it if Kamille was well and about. He patiently introduced the item he was holding. "This is a rare elixir I got on a gate."

Kamille’s temple throbbed again; he suddenly looked tired.

"Just leave it there." He could only accept it; otherwise, the conversation might stretch into some nonsense once more.

"No, you have to take it immediately. You can’t even move."

"You don’t need to."

"But I want to."

"Fine!" Kamille exclaimed, his eyes bloodshot. "Put it in my mouth, then leave."

He did not even care whether that was poison or whatever, but getting rid of Rise was of utmost importance. Kamille’s body could also dispose of the poison, given his healing time would take longer.

"Say aahhh." Rise teased, ignoring the glare, and put the pill in Kamille’s mouth. As soon as that was done, Rise giggled again.

His actions were so suspicious that Kamille almost confirmed the pill was not a good thing.

"It melted, right?" Rise winked as he stood up, taking a step back, preparing to run if Kamille suddenly managed to move because of anger. "Once you swallow it, it will be absorbed immediately. Guess what it is, Guild Leader Han?"

Meaning Kamille could not pretend to swallow it and spat it out once Rise left!

Rise laughed harder and finally escaped when he felt the wind suddenly shift and become stronger. No way; he did not want to die yet.

"See you, Guild Leader Han!" Rise shouted when he was already at a distance and waved, "Only when you’re alive! I’m scared of ghosts, you know?"

Rise stuck his tongue out and escaped with his life, leaving Kamille fuming with anger.
