He took a few breaths before saying, "I want to ask about the car accident that killed our parents. I don’t believe my second paternal uncle was drunk while driving. Can you tell me anything you know about that car accident?"

Lei Haozhan looked at his younger cousin for a while, then took back his hand and stood up. He said calmly while adjusting his clothes: "Since you are curious, I will tell you. That damn old man has only one reason, and that is to gain immortality."

As soon as these words came out, Lei Zhicheng sat up, looked at him, and asked in disbelief: "He killed our parents just for that stupid reason?"

Lei Haozhan snorted, sat on the sofa, and said, "What do you mean ’just because of that stupid reason’? Do you know? ... It was precisely because of this stupid reason that he planned a car accident to kill my parents and your parents, just because they refused to hand me over to him as a test subject."

After speaking, he looked at the stunned Lei Zhicheng with pity and said, "You really don’t know anything."

When the world was covered by darkness, the guards stationed on patrol outside the base noticed that a group of survivors and traveling merchants approached from a distance.
