Felix didn’t have much time to test his newly obtained knowledge regarding Remi’s weaknesses, or to meet up with Brielle to hear more stories of the past or fun facts about his ’little’ witch of a ’pet’, because the very next morning after his tea time with the mermaid, Kade returned to Silverfall. Even earlier than he said he would, as it’s only been eleven days!

"Hi," he grinned widely at Felix, as always, as if their disagreements last time had been completely wiped from his memories. "I’m back!"

And he was not alone. He drove his black sports car, but this time, there was a van accompanying him!

As if they couldn’t just come all in the van. It wasn’t like the van was full - there was only the driver and that squirrel-like doctor inside!

Felix eyed the two cars standing right in front of his house, let out a quiet sigh, and turned back to Kade. "And what’s this entourage for?"

"Well..." Kade paused, his smile faltering a bit as he briefly hesitated, unsure how to bring the subject up. "I’ve told you that I would bring the doctor to examine you again, right? So I thought that we might as well bring proper equipment to give you a full checkup. USG, ECG, pulmonary function test, taking blood and urine samples for laboratory tests..."

Felix couldn’t help but scoff. Once again, such an invasion of privacy. Kade didn’t even think to inform him first, let alone ask for his permission, before bringing all that stuff all the way to Silverfall. Did he think it would be easier to convince Felix if he was put on the spot like that, or did he simply have no intention of accepting refusal this time? It only made the Omega want to oppose him more...

Still, he just let out another sigh, and said, "Okay."

"Wait, before you reject it, at least listen to... Huh?" Kade stopped mid-sentence, staring at Felix stupidly and blinking his eyes. "What did you just say?"

"Okay," Felix repeated calmly, feeling a tinge of satisfaction. At least he was able to throw the Alpha off. Kade clearly did not expect him to agree so easily.

However, truth be told, Felix had no reason to refuse. Now that his pregnancy was known, including who the father was, Felix had no more secrets he wanted to keep from Kade, at least as far as his body was concerned. He didn’t care if the Alpha would see his medical records. Not if it meant he could get an otherwise free checkup! He was still a bit reluctant to accept any favors from Kade, but...

Oh well. He was now Kade’s benefactor, thanks to delivering the mermaid blood, so he could afford to have a more relaxed attitude.

"Young Master, should be carry the equipment inside?" the driver approached them reluctantly, asking Kade. Who was still too dumbfounded to react properly, thus Felix answered him instead,

"Yes, please go on," and opened the door wide.

The faster they got over it, the better. Although he had a feeling the Alpha would still try to stick around afterward.

"Ah, just one question," the doctor said, as the driver started taking the machines out of the back of the van. "When was the last time you ate?"

"Last evening." Felix was just about to start on his breakfast, when he was disturbed by the presence of his so-called mate appearing in his proximity. "I only took some medicine a few minutes ago."

"What kind of medicine?"

"A herbal tonic for pregnancy from the witch."

"Again the witch, huh?" Kade muttered, finally recovering a bit from the shock he had suffered.

"Yes," Felix smiled. "We’re quite close, you see."

As if to agree with his words, Remi rubbed against his legs. Causing Kade’s brows to furrow when the Alpha noticed the fox getting so close to Felix, way closer than he could. How was that fair in any way?

He abstained from commenting, not wanting to argue right after he arrived, and instead just said, "Let’s go inside."

Only to be stopped by Felix’s raised hand. "Nuh uh. You’re staying out."

"Eeeeh?"

"There’s that thing called privacy. It might be unfamiliar to you, but I value it very much!" Felix smiled widely. "Look it up online."

Then, with all the equipment and the doctor in, and Kade and the driver out, he shut the door, ignoring the Alpha’s whining, and turned the lock. The doctor was staring at him with disbelief - probably unused to seeing her ’Young Master’ being treated that way, especially by some nameless, rogue Omega, Young Master’s mate or not - but he ignored it as well, taking a seat on the treatment chair, also brought in the van. It seemed Kade found the chairs in Felix’s house unsuitable for examination. Even though, in Felix’s opinion, they would do just fine.

Regardless, the doctor started examining Felix. His condition had significantly improved since the last time, with all his measurements being perfectly within the norm. Of course, they would still have to wait for the blood and urine test results to have a full picture, but so far, Felix seemed to be doing good.

And finally, the time for the test that Felix was the most excited about arrived - the ultrasound. He gulped loudly, watching as the doctor prepared the USG machine. At last, he would be able to see his pup...

"Just so you know, I might not be able to estimate your due date accurately, since you appear to be in late second, or perhaps even the third trimester," the doctor warned, applying gel over Felix’s belly. "It would have been better if you had an exam earlier..."

"Oh, it’s not a problem," Felix answered dismissively. "I know the conception date, so I can calculate it just fine."

"Is that so? May I ask you when it was?"

"...October 16th."

"I understand. Then your due date should be..."

"July 23rd," Felix finished for the doctor.

"Ah, yes. You added forty weeks, I assume?" she nodded lightly, as she wiped her hands and grabbed the probe. "However, you need to remember this method is also not entirely accurate..."

Her words drifted away, as she focused her attention on observing the little pup that appeared on the screen. And after a careful examination, she turned back to Felix with a smile.

"Congratulations! Your pup is developing normally, with no problems visible so far. It’s a healthy little girl!"
