I Would Rather Be a Rogue [BL]
Chapter 113: Such Disrespect!

Chapter 113: Such Disrespect!

The sky was still dark when someone knocked on Felix’s door, interrupting his peaceful slumber. Felix’s lashes fluttered, and he slowly opened his eyes...

Only to immediately squint, when the bright light hit his eyes.

...Right. He ended up falling asleep right after his little squabble with Kade, and he forgot to turn them off. Not that he would have been able to do it otherwise, since the Alpha would probably stop him from getting up, afraid Felix might run away.

Which also explained the weight pressing on his chest. Kade was lying half on top of Felix, clinging to his side, with his head on the Omega’s chest. As if he couldn’t just sleep normally, next to him. There wasn’t much space, yes, but that was not the point. Looking at the black wolf sleeping on top of him, Felix couldn’t help but get flustered, his cheeks flushing a bit. He was more or less used to Remi sleeping that way, but Kade...

Luckily, the knocking on the door sounded again, snapping Felix out of his thoughts. He pushed Kade off, paying no mind to his whimpers, and sat up, reaching out for his phone.

Seven past six AM. A bit early to have any unexpected guests... Unless they were the Bloodmoon Pack’s guards, looking for Kade.

Felix scrambled off the bed, not even bothering to put his slippers on, before he rushed to the door, as if it were his salvation that came. Because in a way, it did - if those were indeed the guards, then they were surely here to take their Young Master away!

And indeed, he was right. In front of the door stood one of the guards from the day before. He bowed down, all the way to his waist, as soon as he saw Felix.

"I would like to apologize for yesterday, Sir!" he said, still with his head down. "I lost my temper for a moment, and ended up offending you. I’m truly regretful, and I hope you will allow me to compensate you to make up for it!"

He didn’t sound regretful at all. It was most likely Kade who had scolded him, and forced him to apologize.

But Felix didn’t care much for his apology. Especially when it wasn’t even sincere. He didn’t want to make a big deal about it either, though, so he just waved his hand. "It’s fine now, it was just a misunderstanding. I assume you are here for Young Master Kade?"

"Yes, that is correct," the guard confirmed, straightening up. As expected, when Felix offered to drop the issue, he didn’t insist on making up for his mistake either.

"I see. One moment, please," Felix glanced back, and seeing that Kade was still hiding in the bedroom, he closed the door and went to deal with the annoying Alpha.

Kade was still on the bed, buried under the blankets, pretending to be asleep. Even though his ears clearly twitched as Felix approached.

"Hey, get up," Felix nudged him. "One of your guards is here. Which means that your... the patient’s treatment must be finished."

Kade stirred, hesitating. On one side, he wanted to go to his father’s side as soon as he could... But on the other, if he left Felix’s bed now, who knew when he would be able to return? And judging by the guard’s tone, his father was fine now, so it wasn’t all that urgent... It was truly a tough choice.

"Young Master, we should go. The witch sent out a message that you have to come to negotiate the repayment before he will release the patient," the front door opened, and the guard walked in. Inviting himself in on his own, without Felix’s permission. He had just apologized for one thing a moment ago, and now he was clearly disrespecting him and intruding on his private space on his own! Just because Felix had allowed Kade in, that didn’t mean that suddenly all the Bloodmoon Pack members could come and go as they please!

"Sir," Felix turned back to the guard, trying to remain calm, even though his eyes were twitching. "I would appreciate if you could wait outside. It’s my private house, not a waiting room for the witch’s customers!"

"Our Young Master is here," the guard stated plainly, as if it were something that made his behavior okay.

Then, to make it worse, Vivi finally woke up, after hours of peaceful sleep, and started crying loudly, making racket as if she hadn’t been given any care or attention for days.

"Both of you, OUT!" Felix lost his cool completely and snapped.

"...What?" the guard growled, his face darkening. It would be one thing if those words were directed only at him, but at his Young Master? Such disrespect, from a mere witch’s assistant in some backwater town! And... a rogue Omega, it seemed? He didn’t notice it the day before, but he could pick up the subtle scent now...

Sensing the storm brewing, Kade finally jumped out of bed and walked out of the bedroom, then out of the house, giving the guard a serious look on the way to signal him to follow without making a scene. Having received such an implied order from the heir to the pack, the guard had no choice but to grit his teeth, and turn around on his heel. Then they both left, although not without Kade throwing Felix one last longing glance.

At last, Felix was left alone. He immediately rushed to his daughter’s side, picking her up from the crib. He changed her diaper and put her in some clean clothes, fed her and pacified her, then grabbed the mop, and wiped the floor, for the third time in the last 24 hours. It had been raining the whole day and well into the night, after all, so the ground was still muddy. The guard dirtied the floor quite a lot when he invited himself in.

Once everything was back in order, Felix stretched out his back with a sigh. He didn’t sit down to relax, though, and instead, went to the kitchen to prep the pancakes for later. After working for so many hours to undo the curse, Remi deserved a treat, whether he did it for Felix or not...
