Chapter 1081: Chapter 1079: The Stars are Beautiful, Bringing You to See Them is Very Romantic (1)
"Seriously, how do you know she’s the old auntie!" someone chimed in with a murmur.
"Not only do I know she’s the old auntie, I also know she’s a married woman," Han Jingnian’s tone grew colder, "Besides that, I know she likes to sleep, married a rich guy, and spends six figures just on bags every week... and hey, see those slippers on her feet? Five figures... that watch on her wrist, seven figures..."
After a pause, Han Jingnian glanced sidelong at the few young guys who were silenced by his consecutive mentions of "five figures, six figures, seven figures," "Can you guys afford a sister like that?"
Before the young guys could even speak, Han Jingnian added: "Oh, right, there’s more, her husband is ridiculously handsome."
The guy who had just spoken, foolishly followed up with: "How handsome?"
Han Jingnian: "Add up all of your looks, and you still won’t match his handsomeness!"
A few young guys: "...damn!"
As the young guys muttered curses under their breath, the guy who always ended up being the butt of the joke every time he spoke, piped up again: "How do you know all these details? Who are you to her! Are you like us, trying to snatch a sister we like!"
Han Jingnian, as if he heard the funniest joke ever, wore a smile that read "like you guys are worthy of competing with me," and said in a weirdly mocking tone: "No, you’re mistaken, I merely don’t like others coveting my woman."
For a moment, the young guys didn’t catch the meaning behind Han Jingnian’s words.
Looking at the idiotic expressions of the young guys, Han Jingnian lifted his eyelids slightly: "To put it in simple terms, that means, I’m the man who supports her."
Having said that, Han Jingnian lifted his hand and tapped thrice on their table, his ring finger’s diamond engagement ring blinding the group of young guys, before he sashayed over to Xia Wan’an.
Noticing someone approaching, Xia Wan’an finally lifted her head and glanced over: "What took you so long?"
"Took a phone call..." Han Jingnian didn’t sit down but instead used his body to block the view of that table of young guys: "Have you eaten your fill?"
Xia Wan’an nodded her head in agreement, indicating that she was full.
The Han Jingnian who had pompously declared to the young guys a minute ago "I’m the man who supports her": "Let’s go, I’ll accompany you to pay the bill."
So, three minutes later, the man who claimed "your collective looks can’t match mine," stood beside the cashier contently watching his wife as she took out her card to settle the bill and sign.
Leaving the family-style restaurant, Xia Wan’an had thought Han Jingnian would take her home, but unexpectedly, he drove the car in the opposite direction.
Xia Wan’an asked in confusion: "Aren’t we going home?"
Han Jingnian hummed in acknowledgment and after two seconds: "Taking you to a nice place."
The further the car drove, the fewer lights there were, and the surroundings became darker, until finally, Xia Wan’an couldn’t make out the scene outside anymore. She didn’t know how far Han Jingnian had driven when, just as she felt sleepy, the car finally stopped.
"Are we there?" Xia Wan’an straightened up and turned to ask.
Han Jingnian didn’t speak, but instead reached out to press a button next to the car door. As the car roof slowly opened, Xia Wan’an looked up curiously, and the galaxy unexpectedly flooded into her sight.
