I Refused To Be Reincarnated -
Chapter 547: The Path to Exaltation
Chapter 547: The Path to Exaltation
Meanwhile, Adam watched Misha’s delighted expression as she devoured the delicious soup.
Then, he helped her a little with her studies before he sighed, finally finding enough peace to check his interface.
With a cute gurgle, he summoned it and scrutinised the new entries to make their information appear.

’Why am I not a normal human?’
He tilted his head and blinked, starting by reading his bizarre race’s description.
[Celestial Humans: Anomalous humans who grazed the divine. Their existence stands at the edge of the mythical rank, a step away from becoming exalted.]
’What?! Did I become some demigod?’ He frowned, tightening his fists in displeasure. ’I want to be human! Stop giving me weird races!’
Inner grumbles filling his mind, his eyes trailed down to his heaven affinity.
’I expected to have a high or even advanced affinity, but I might have underestimated the dan tian’s description.’
His eyes sparkled in satisfaction as he remembered it could absorb life force without waste.
Finally, he checked the ultimate vessel talent, knowing more or less what it did since he could feel it.
[Ultimate vessel: Your body inherited the abilities of nine mythical body parts, making it inch towards perfection and giving it unparalleled potential.]
[Effect 1: Base stats are set at four hundred.]
[Effect 2: Stats points earned per level doubled.]
[Effect 3: Mana and life force absorption rate increased by five hundred percent.]
A broad grin split his face as low chuckles escaped his mouth.
’I’ll swim in stat points soon enough! The level reset isn’t so bad anymore. Instead, it’ll help me scrape a few hundred more for free!’
Fingers twitching and eager to discover what he could do, he smacked his lips shut and focused on his passive abilities.
’I’ll try Gaston’s first! This bastard always acts cocky and mysterious with his eyes.’
With a thought, dense mana swirled in his eyes, shifting how they reflected light to show him a new world.
A shocked gasp escaped his lips as his breathing quickened under the flow of information.
Unlike the brief moment Gaston had lent him his vision, he now saw vibrant colors swirling and dancing around him. Dense wisps of mana and life force intertwined in an intricate dance to cover objects and people alike.
But he also saw more.
No imperfection could escape his vision. Without thinking and with a glance, he knew where to strike to disturb the energy’s harmony and cause them to collapse on themselves.
Yet, his eyes widened as he caught Misha’s slight movement from the corner of his eyes.
’What are those arrows? Don’t tell me?!’
He finally understood how Gaston reacted to any attack entering his field of view and could differentiate faints from genuine strikes at a glance... because arrows accompanied anything moving. They displayed the kinetic energy’s direction, allowing him to see any strike’s trajectory the instant a movement was initiated. Even more incredible, the arrows’ width expressed the force imbued in them, meaning he could also predict their speed!
However, they meant much more to him.
’They open the path to force spells, then gravity! I can finally train this terrifying element!’
Despite his joy, he took a few deep breaths to calm down and analyse the other abilities.
Using Durgrim’s, he seized a strand of swirling mana. He felt its ethereal texture and the power it contained before letting it go in marvel.
Unfortunately, he skipped the arcane synthesis since he had no materials to fuse but vowed to try it at the first opportunity.
He also skipped anything physical because of his baby’s muscles and jumped to his bone’s ability to suppress or increase vitality.
His eyes sparkled with mischief, and his lips curled into a smirk as his foot brushed Misha’s arm.
Instinctively, he felt how to send a surge of energy into her.
"Mhh? Why do I feel more energetic?"
Misha pushed her lips upwards with her finger in confusion before shrugging the sensation aside and focusing on the booklet.
Meanwhile, he grinned, realising the ability could chase tiredness besides helping with recovery!
On the other hand, the suppressing part would stop his adversaries from healing while weakening them. Of course, that was without considering potent defensive artefacts.
Finally, his eyes brightened as he reached the part he anticipated the most, the icing on the cake: his mana circuits!
’In the panic earlier, I failed to use them properly, but I have to recover my ability to cast spells as soon as possible. But first, I must understand how mana flows through them and its interaction with my conductive tendons and heart.’
However, a worried frown creased his brows as he gazed at his four hundred intelligence and the unlimited mana supplied by his heart.
’I can’t blow the house up because I didn’t take enough precautions. I should probably try to blast a relaxing breeze first before focusing on proper spells.’
A wistful smile blossomed on his face as he remembered the first time he fumbled with mana and used it to clean Alina’s house.
However, he wasn’t the same even if the situation looked similar.
His consciousness seeped into his body as he closed his eyes. The melody of its working, a symphony of power and harmony, echoed in his ears as he moved small amounts of mana from his heart into the canvas his circuits drew into his flesh and cells.
The first thing he noticed was the smooth flow. Like a dam, he could control it to adjust the output without limitations. The second thing was the tendons. More than helping, they played an integral part in the energy transportation process by increasing its speed to an unmatched level.
His eyes slipped aside in worry.
’If I don’t control myself, I can throw a spell with tier-four potency just by sneezing. That’s a little dangerous...’
Doubling in focus, he continued fumbling with his mana, trying to make the desired amount emerge from his finger before trying to blow it gently.
Meanwhile, the woman who had left earlier stood before a colossal serpent.
Its purple scales exuded a poisonous aura, and its slit eyes sparkled with cruelty as they scrutinised her.
By it, a spider’s mandibles clicked in frustration as it gazed at the woman’s form.
Finally, an elegant crane flapped its wings gracefully in an intriguing spectacle of glistening feathers above them.
"Why did you call for us in the middle of the night, and why are you using your human form after swearing you would never meddle with these treacherous creatures a century ago?"
The snake hissed, its deadly fangs in full display.
Before the others could speak, she raised her foot and stomped the ground.
BOOM
The mountain rocks exploded under the pressure, gravel and dust billowing before her as her voice thundered with an authority she hadn’t displayed in the house.
"Take your human forms and come with me." Her eyes narrowed into determined slits, the kind that left no place for refusal without fighting. "I’ll explain the details on the way, but know that we have a chance to repair the valley’s spiritual vein."
