Chapter 346 - Chapter 346 Chapter 342 Taoties Little Fanboy
Chapter 346: Chapter 342: Taotie’s Little Fanboy Chapter 346: Chapter 342: Taotie’s Little Fanboy Watching her daughter disdainfully wipe off her face, Taotie laughed even more happily, planting another kiss on Jiang Xinyan. Under the scornful gazes of the mother and daughter, Taotie drove away triumphantly.
Jiang Xinyan held Jiang Nannan in her arms, standing still and silently watched as Taotie’s car disappeared into the distance.
Until the taillights were no longer visible.
Only then did Jiang Xinyan withdraw her gaze.
“Princess Your Highness?”
“Perhaps it really is a way out?”
Jiang Xinyan murmured to herself.
After being lost in thought for a while, until Jiang Nannan began to fidget restlessly, did Jiang Xinyan come back to her senses and turn to walk toward the manor.
Creak–
The grand doors of the manor closed automatically.
A woman in her forties came up to Jiang Xinyan, “Miss, do you need me to send someone to follow your son-in-law?”
Jiang Xinyan smiled, “No need.”
“With Nannan here, he won’t run away.”
Jiang Xinyan smiled confidently.
She could feel the change in Taotie’s feelings for her because of their daughter’s presence.
After a moment’s hesitation, Jiang Xinyan said, “Call back all the people who are outside, we have a mission soon. Perhaps this time we can turn things around.”
The woman nodded, “Yes!”
Jiang Xinyan gently pecked on Nannan’s chubby little face, “Our Nannan, you really are Mommy’s little lucky star, aren’t you?”
Nannan “giggled” and laughed.
Although Jiang Nannan was still young and didn’t understand what her mother was saying, she could feel that ever since the creature called ‘Daddy’ appeared, her mother had been much happier than before. When Mommy was happy, she would also be happy.

Taotie drove back to the hotel!
After parking the car in the underground garage, Taotie carried two suitcases from the trunk and hurried toward the elevator.
Upon reaching the elevator entrance, Taotie hesitated, not rushing in but instead turned around to face the silent garage, “Come out!”
Before Taotie’s words had even finished, a figure flashed out from behind a car, bowed and said, “White Tiger Hall disciple, Bao Yuan pays respect to the son-in-law!”
Taotie frowned and scrutinized Bao Yuan. He asked, “Did Xinyan send you to follow me?”
“Son-in-law has misunderstood!”
Bao Yuan quickly shook his head in denial.
The miss and son-in-law had just reconciled and if any misunderstanding arose because of him, he couldn’t bear the consequences.
“Bao Yuan’s mission is not to follow the son-in-law, but to protect the son-in-law’s guests in the hotel secretly because the son-in-law stayed overnight at the manor last night, and the miss was afraid that the son-in-law’s guests might be in danger,” Bao Yuan explained hastily, worried that if he was any slower, he might be done for.
After listening to Bao Yuan’s explanation, Taotie narrowed his eyes and continued to size up Bao Yuan.
After a moment, he nodded.
“Understood,” he said.
Without another glance at Bao Yuan, Taotie turned and entered the elevator without looking back.
“Phew…”
Watching the elevator ascend, Bao Yuan finally relaxed and wiped the cold sweat from his forehead.
Bao Yuan had truly been scared just now.
Fearing that Taotie, in a bad mood, would simply finish him off.
Taotie didn’t know Bao Yuan, but Bao Yuan knew him all too well. Before he left the Tomb Raider Sect, Taotie had been the Hall Master of the White Tiger Hall.
Back then, Bao Yuan was just a lowly disciple in the White Tiger Hall.
Bao Yuan had witnessed how ruthlessly Taotie could kill. At that time the old Sect Master was still alive but becoming senile, yet he stubbornly refused to retire and insisted on leading a mission himself.
Unfortunately, he misjudged the age and dangers of the tomb, leading to heavy casualties among the halls, and even the newly appointed Sect Master died there.
After their return, grievances filled the halls.
With the Sect Master dead and the old Sect Master aged, and the miss being away and unable to return promptly to take up the Sect Master’s duties, some began to harbor the thought of usurping her position, banding together with like-minded Hall Masters to besiege the Sect Master Manor.
It was this man here, with an iron-fisted approach, who single-handedly slew a hundred men, reversed the situation, and deterred the small-minded, securing the Sect Master’s position and allowing the miss to smoothly take over as Sect Master.
Bao Yuan’s memory of Taotie’s heroic demeanor from those days was still vivid, but not long after, Taotie left the Tomb Raider Sect and disappeared.
Without Taotie’s support, although the miss had aspirations to revive the Tomb Raider Sect, the old Sect Master’s mistake had cost the halls most of their elites, and the subsequent rebellion was suppressed by Taotie’s slaughtering some more. The Tomb Raider Sect had already suffered a lack of successors. Despite the miss maintaining the Sect’s territory and assets, she ultimately lacked the power to revive the Tomb Raider Sect and return it to its peak.
Taotie had no idea that his youthful frivolity had left such a deep impression on Bao Yuan. If he had known, Taotie probably would have taken the chance to scare his little fanboy a bit more.
By the way, he’d tell him not to idolize his elder, since he’s just a legend.
Ding-dong—-
The elevator didn’t open.
Taotie, carrying two suitcases, stepped out of the elevator.
He walked quickly to Fang Xiaocao’s apartment door.
Taotie set down the suitcases and knocked on the door.
Hearing the knock, Fang Xiaocao immediately became alert and tiptoed to the door, peering through the peephole.
Upon seeing Taotie’s irritatingly punchable face outside, Fang Xiaocao took a deep breath.
Click—-
Fang Xiaocao opened the door.
“You actually know how to come back?”
Fang Xiaocao asked coldly.
“Hehe…”
“Princess Your Highness, don’t blame me, I just went to visit a friend and my phone died,”
Taotie explained with a grin.
It’s said you shouldn’t hit a smiling face, so seeing Taotie’s ingratiating expression, Fang Xiaocao couldn’t be bothered to argue with this simpleton.
She stepped aside to let Taotie in, then sat back down on the sofa, “Is everything taken care of?”
“All done!”
“The weaponry equipment is all here!”
Taotie raised the suitcases as if presenting a treasure.
“So much?”
Fang Xiaocao asked, somewhat surprised.
“One for each person!”
Taotie glanced at the labels on the suitcases and placed the one conveniently meant for Fang Xiaocao at her feet.
Fang Xiaocao picked up the suitcase and placed it on the sofa.
“It’s pretty heavy, isn’t it?”
“What’s the password?”
Fang Xiaocao casually inquired.
“10086!”
Taotie replied.
“Huh?”
“You’re endorsing for the mobile company?”
Fang Xiaocao asked with a laugh.
Taotie chuckled sheepishly, “Easy to remember!”
Fang Xiaocao keyed in the password in order.
As the last “6” was pressed,
Click—-
The lock on the suitcase popped open.
Fang Xiaocao opened the suitcase to inspect the weaponry equipment Taotie had prepared for her.
The suitcase was divided into two layers; the top layer contained a gun, three fully loaded magazines, and a box of loose bullets.
Fang Xiaocao took out the gun to check it over.
Although it showed signs of use, it was well-maintained and wouldn’t affect its use.
She set the gun and bullets aside.
Fang Xiaocao then inspected the second layer of the suitcase.
Her eyes lit up when she saw the contents of the suitcase’s second layer, and she smiled happily.
“Well done!”
Fang Xiaocao gave a thumbs up and complimented Taotie.
