I Really Am A Villain
Ch. 402 - I Gave You A Chance

“They’re still young. Don’t you think you’ve gone too far?” the elder said calmly.

“I gave them a chance. They just didn’t value it and chose the second option instead,” Xu Zimo replied, gripping Shadow Tyrant as the aura around him steadily rose.

He looked around at everyone present and said with a faint smile, “Well, have you decided? Will you apologize and compensate me, or do I slaughter all of you?”

The elder’s face turned red with anger.

“You’re declaring war on Vermilion Bird Academy!”

“Then so be it,” Xu Zimo said casually. “You really think your little branch academy is on the level of the Heavenly Dao Academy?”

“Fine, very fine,” the elder said, laughing in rage as he looked at Xu Zimo. “I hope you’ll remember your words.”

With that, the elder turned and left, likely to report to the academy.

“Teacher,” Yue Qingli called out timidly from the side. He didn’t understand why Xu Zimo was going against the academy.

“Let’s leave quickly. If stronger experts from the academy show up, we’ll be in trouble.”

Xu Zimo glanced at Yue Qingli. This disciple of his was too timid. It was understandable, but he still lacked boldness, far from the godlike figure of legend.

Xu Zimo didn’t know what Yue Qingli had experienced in the past to grow so quickly. He wondered if his interference had already changed that path.

“Stand aside and watch carefully,” Xu Zimo waved his hand and said calmly. “Today isn’t just about getting justice for you. It’s also about my reputation.”

As the academy’s teachers left, Xu Zimo didn’t bother waiting. He looked at the gathered crowd and spoke flatly: “So, what’s the decision? If no one says anything, I’ll take it as you choosing the second option.”

Just then, a youth stepped out from the crowd.

“Don’t you think you’re being too arrogant?”

Xu Zimo looked at the youth. He wore a dark yellow robe, the one who had previously passed the extreme test.

He was the seventh prince of the Slaughter Empire.

Seeing him speak up gave the other students confidence.

They knew that no matter how strong Xu Zimo was, in Slaughter Empire territory, offending the royal family meant death. That was the reputation of the Slaughter Race, they always settled things through combat and never compromised.

“You’re standing up for them?” Xu Zimo said with a mocking smile.

“Wait for the academy teachers. Let them decide,” the seventh prince replied coldly. “Sure, they mocked you, but a simple apology is enough. Death is too much.”

“Seems like being the seventh prince of Slaughter Empire has made you feel quite superior,” Xu Zimo chuckled.

He raised Shadow Tyrant and swung it toward the prince.

A blade aura several meters long burst forth, sharp and deadly.

With just a casual swing, the space around shattered layer by layer.

The seventh prince’s face changed. He knew he couldn’t block the strike.

He quickly retreated, using footwork techniques that left behind multiple afterimages.

Boom!

The blade aura struck beside him, he dodged, but nearby students weren’t so lucky.

“Looks like you don’t have what it takes to stand up for others,” Xu Zimo laughed.

“Do you know what you’re doing?” the seventh prince said coldly. “You’re trying to kill a royal of Slaughter Empire. No one’s ever dared that before.”

“You know what I want to do most right now?” Xu Zimo asked calmly. “Step on you. Crush that royal pride and your identity as a prince until it’s worthless.”

“You’re asking for death!” the prince growled and crushed a jade pendant in his hand.

Xu Zimo recognized it, he’d seen one like it before in Fearless City.

When the jade shattered, the skies changed.

A storm of spiritforce brewed overhead.

A pitch-black void formed, and a blood-red palace appeared. A man in a crimson robe stood with his back to the void.

It was exactly what Xu Zimo had seen in Fearless City.

“Not very original,” Xu Zimo said, shaking his head.

“Yuan Hao, what’s going on?” came a calm voice from the void.

“Supreme Patriarch, someone is trying to kill me!” the seventh prince quickly replied, pointing at Xu Zimo.

As the man in the void looked at Xu Zimo, he paused for a moment.

Back in Fearless City, when he had tried to suppress Xu Zimo, one of the Immortal Path cultivators beside Xu Zimo had shattered his projection.

He fell silent for a moment.

“So, we meet again,” the man in the void said.

The seventh prince froze in place, a bad feeling creeping in.

“You shouldn’t be pleading with me,” Xu Zimo shook his head. “I’m a fair man. I won’t kill him, if you offer something in exchange for his life.”

“What do you want?” the man in the void asked.

“Give me a Slaughter Race access token,” Xu Zimo replied. “A token from Slaughter Empire will do.”

The man hesitated, then spiritforce surged and a red token flew out of the void.

Xu Zimo knew that this token would be very useful within Slaughter Empire, but it wasn’t a core token, otherwise, the man wouldn’t have handed it over so easily.

“Get lost. What are you still looking at?” Xu Zimo said flatly to the stunned seventh prince.

“Ah...” The prince snapped out of it, face flushed with shame and quickly fled back into the academy.
