I Really Am A Villain -
Ch. 285 - You're The One Who Should Go To Hell
Heaven-Breaker couldn’t understand why Xu Zimo remained so calm at this stage of the battle.
Looking at Xu Zimo’s composed expression, a sudden sense of unease welled up in Heaven-Breaker’s heart.
As the massive, radiant hand from the painting descended once more, the black mist that had been covering the skies suddenly began to churn.
The dark mist surged violently and condensed into a terrifying, demonic face, gruesome and evil.
That monstrous face opened its gaping mouth and lunged toward the giant hand.
BOOM!
A black hole tore through the sky. Endless light and demonic aura collided and obliterated one another.
In that moment, both the divine hand and the monstrous face vanished into nothingness.
“How… how is this possible?” Heaven-Breaker murmured in shock.
Thunderous rumbling still echoed through the skies.
The demonic energy gathered thicker and darker, spreading across the entire heavens until the firmament was painted pitch black.
From within that demonic aura, a storm cloud shot forth, carrying apocalyptic might.
As it tore through the air, flames ignited at its leading edge.
Like a burning inferno, the demonic cloud surged toward the painting that still hovered in midair.
The divine hand from the painting tried to block it, but it was useless.
The cloud smashed through it like paper, falling directly onto the painting.
In that instant, the demonic aura turned even more violent.
The painting resisted for only a moment before it was engulfed and incinerated.
All that remained was smoke and ashes, swirling through the shattered sky.
…
Heaven-Breaker stood frozen, staring at the disintegrated painting, completely stunned.
From the space where the painting had vanished, Paimon's massive figure slowly emerged.
Demonic aura surged around him. He opened his eyes, like a primordial demon awakened from ancient chaos.
His pressure was overwhelming.
“Is… is that a Grand Emperor?” Heaven-Breaker gasped in horror, feeling Paimon’s fearsome power.
“No, impossible! The Heaven's Will hasn’t manifested yet, how could there be an Emperor?”
He quickly shook his head, trying to dismiss the thought.
“Who… who are you?” he asked Paimon, trembling.
“The dead don’t need to know,” Paimon’s voice boomed across the heavens as he pressed his palm down.
Infinite Dao resonance rippled outward. The sound of the Grand Dao thundered solemnly through the skies.
The giant demonic hand surged with endless black energy.
BOOM!
Heaven-Breaker was sent flying.
The ground he had stood on split with several rifts, and an entire region of space collapsed inward.
Paimon’s palm continued downward, tearing through the Heaven-Severing Sacred Ground’s protective array.
Towering mountains crumbled into ruins.
Hundreds of disciples, unable to escape in time, were buried beneath the rubble.
…
“I’ll hold him off, take the disciples and run!” Heaven-Breaker shouted to Absolute Dao.
“I’m afraid… we won’t get that chance,” Absolute Dao sighed.
The five Immortals from the Divine Gate had already surrounded them. Their combined pressure locked down the entire area.
There was no way out.
With five Immortals sealing the perimeter, escape was nearly impossible.
“Are the Heavens really going to destroy the Heaven-Severing Sacred Ground?” Heaven-Breaker looked up at the sky and said bitterly.
He turned his head one last time to look at the mighty lineage built in the mists, a force that had endured through multiple eras.
He was one of the first to leave the Celestial Race. He had helped build this sect with his own hands.
There was no one left in the lineage with more history, or love, for it than him.
It was like his own child.
He had watched that child stumble and grow, step by step.
And now…
Heaven-Breaker turned to Xu Zimo and said solemnly:
“Is there really no room for compromise?”
“I was entrusted with a task, and I fulfill it loyally,” Xu Zimo replied, shaking his head.
“Name your terms. Whatever the Heaven-Severing Sacred Ground can do, we will,” Heaven-Breaker pleaded.
“I only ask that we be allowed to preserve some of the bloodline, nothing more. Is that possible?”
“Wasn’t that what you did to the Celestial Race?” Xu Zimo asked in return.
Heaven-Breaker was speechless. He lowered his head and sighed in shame.
Xu Zimo gently shook his head and turned away.
At that moment, Paimon and the five Immortals charged into the sect.
Heaven-Breaker tried to intercept them but was instantly suppressed by Paimon.
Nearby, Absolute Dao was surrounded by the five Immortals. He was quickly overwhelmed and perished, his body and Dao both shattered.
Chaos and Dark River also entered the sect, slaughtering indiscriminately. The disciples were helpless, like lambs awaiting slaughter.
…
“You demons!” roared Absolute Fateless, the current Sacred Lord of Heaven-Severing Sacred Ground, as he watched his disciples be wiped out.
His eyes were blood-red with rage as he screamed at Xu Zimo:
“You’ll die a miserable death! You’re exterminating an entire lineage! When you die, you’ll burn in the eighteen levels of hell!”
“I don’t care,” Xu Zimo replied with a smirk. “If hell really exists, I’ll massacre it too.”
“But you, why do you keep blaming me? When you annihilated the Celestial Race, did you ever think this day would come? If the eighteen levels of hell are real, you’ll be the first one down.”
Absolute Fateless roared in frustration and unwillingness.
But he was only a Empyrean Meridian Realm cultivator, no match for even one blow from Chaos.
Looking at the shattered sect…
The disciples' cries echoed through the mountains, the ground littered with corpses.
A legacy built by two Grand Emperors ended in his hands.
Absolute Fateless couldn’t be sure anymore, was destroying the Celestial Race really the right thing?
They had been wolves in human skin.
Perhaps, in their greed and cruelty, they had treated the Celestial Race like lambs and butchered them for profit.
But now, as tigers and leopards tore through their own pack of wolves, they finally understood how weak they really were.
…
Paimon, having crushed Heaven-Breaker, showed no mercy.
The sound of the Grand Dao echoed through heaven and earth. The demonic aura twisted into a grotesque and hopeless face that pierced through Heaven-Breaker’s body.
As his body was impaled and his God Flame neared extinction…
Heaven-Breaker turned to gaze, one last time, at the lineage he had loved most.
Now, it was nothing but ruins.
He pulled the corners of his mouth into a pained, broken smile, then slowly closed his eyes.
The dying flame in his body flared one last brilliant time,
Then finally went out.
Perhaps the world would never understand, why, all those years ago, he had pushed Grand Emperor Jue Tian toward the Heaven's Will…
No one ever would.
