I Really Am A Villain
Ch. 283 - Everyone Must Die

The woman in the floral dress nodded lightly, lips pressed together.

The man in white robes put down his brush. As he turned, a towering aura of a Zenith Immortal erupted from his body.

His robe fluttered violently despite the absence of wind.

All he left behind was his departing figure, and an unfinished painting.

Spring wind passed silently over the canvas.

None knew, this would be the path of no return.

Outside the Heaven-Severing Sacred Ground, the protective grand array had already begun to crack.

Chaos, brimming with God Meridian peak power, shattered space with every blow.

The pressure was immense, and the disciples of Heaven-Severing Sacred Ground could only hide inside, too afraid to confront it.

At the edge of the sky in the distance, the white-robed man arrived, accompanied by Jue Wuhai, stepping through the air one step at a time.

With a casual wave of his hand, the massive figure of Chaos was directly flung away.

Its massive body crashed heavily into a nearby mountain.

A thunderous explosion rang out, the entire mountain was broken in half from the impact.

“Deactivate the grand protective array,” the white-robed man said calmly.

As the barrier around the Heaven-Severing Sacred Ground faded, both disciples within and onlookers outside watched the white-robed figure with stunned expressions.

Anyone who could casually swat away a peak God Meridian beast couldn’t possibly be an ordinary Immortal.

“Is that one of our Sacred Ground’s ancient ancestors?”

“Which ancestor is that?!”

“Not sure… Our Sacred Ground has produced two Grand Emperors. The foundation runs deep.”

Some disciples who had studied Sacred Ground history pondered deeply.

Suddenly, one shouted:

“It’s Ancestor Heaven-Breaker! I saw his portrait once in the ancestral shrine, it’s identical! No mistake!”

“Heaven-Breaker… That was Grand Emperor Jue Tian’s war general!”

In various Sacred Ground halls, ancient figures watching through the projection mirror began speculating quietly.

In Grand Emperor Jue Tian’s rise to fame, one name could never be avoided, Heaven-Breaker.

The Celestial Race were like birds in cages, forever trapped between death and reproduction, bound by a tragic fate.

But there were those who refused to accept that destiny.

Those unwilling to surrender to this absurd reproductive law were branded traitors.

They left the home their people had lived in for generations.

They journeyed to the Middle Continent, intermingled with humans, and sought freedom from their fate.

Among them were two people: Jue Tian and Heaven-Breaker.

They didn’t yet have those titles, but what’s certain is that they were part of the traitors’ exodus.

The two were close friends, rivals, and both carried high hopes.

A torrential storm swept across half of the Primordial Heartlands.

That era’s battle for Heaven's Will took place beneath those rains.

The two fought to the very end. At the final moment, Heaven-Breaker pushed Jue Tian toward the Heaven's Will altar, and stayed behind alone to block the others.

It was an unfathomable move. Even now, no one truly understands why.

Why would a competitive warrior like Heaven-Breaker forfeit the chance at Heaven's Will and end his cultivation path?

Why choose to become the supporting role?

But no one can deny that whenever Grand Emperor Jue Tian is mentioned, Heaven-Breaker is always close behind.

He was a constant presence through the Grand Emperor’s entire life.

Now, outside the Sacred Ground, Ancestor Heaven-Breaker walked through the air, his immense Zenith Immortal aura flooding the sky.

The entire Heaven-Severing Sacred Ground, and even the surrounding city, was smothered beneath his presence, suffocating and oppressive.

Heaven-Breaker swept his gaze across the gathered crowd. Even distant spectators felt frozen in place,

A deep tremor from the soul as if even their blood had congealed.

“Are you here to destroy the Sacred Ground?” Heaven-Breaker asked Xu Zimo in a calm voice.

“Yes,” Xu Zimo nodded with composure.

“I sense the aura of the Leaf of Life on you. What’s your connection to the Celestial Race?” Heaven-Breaker asked, frowning.

“You don’t know?” Xu Zimo asked in surprise.

“What do you mean?” Heaven-Breaker looked confused. He turned to stare at Absolute Fateless.

Absolute Fateless’s face instantly turned pale. After a long silence, he stammered, unable to form words.

“What’s going on?” Heaven-Breaker asked coldly.

“…We… exterminated the Celestial Race.”

After a long pause, Absolute Fateless finally muttered in a low voice.

“What?”

Heaven-Breaker trembled. His expression changed dramatically as his aura surged wildly.

“Who gave you the right to do that?” Heaven-Breaker demanded angrily.

“It was me,”

A deep voice echoed across the heavens.

An old man in green robes walked across the sky from afar.

He had the appearance of a sage, white hair, youthful face, and the overwhelming aura of an Undying Immortal surrounded him.

His Immortal might rumbled across the skies. A long green sword was strapped to his back.

“Absolute Dao,” Heaven-Breaker called out, his voice low as he recognized the elder.

The crowd erupted in shock.

“Ancestor Absolute Dao! He was Grand Emperor Zhu Tian’s war general!”

“Both of the Sacred Ground’s top ancestors have returned… What a day this is!”

“Who gave you the order to exterminate the Celestial Race?” Heaven-Breaker asked coldly.

“Ancestor,” the green-robed Absolute Dao greeted Heaven-Breaker first.

After all, Heaven-Breaker had helped carry the Heaven's Will even before the Grand Emperor Zhu Tian had been born, let alone Absolute Dao himself.

“What’s wrong with exterminating them?” Absolute Dao replied indifferently.

“I only asked them to hand over the Leaf of Life. I intended to raise them like livestock. But they didn’t value the opportunity. They insisted on fighting to the death. It ended in their annihilation. Don’t you think letting them keep the Leaf of Life was just a waste?”

“You!”

Heaven-Breaker pointed a trembling finger at Absolute Dao, his face flushed with rage, unable to speak.

“We should deal with the current threat first,” Absolute Dao said calmly, locking eyes with Xu Zimo.

Heaven-Breaker’s gaze turned cold. He snorted.

“Once this is over, I’ll personally capture you and take you to beg forgiveness from the Celestial Race’s survivors.”

“Spare me your so-called pity,” Absolute Dao scoffed.

Then....

“Gentlemen, I think we’re done talking?” Xu Zimo interrupted, his tone flat.

“None of you are leaving today.”

“You arrogant brat,” Absolute Dao sneered.

Xu Zimo simply smiled. In that instant, a boundless demonic aura erupted into the sky.

The entire heavens were instantly sealed off. The onlookers suddenly went blind, all they saw was darkness.

In the midst of the raging demonic energy,

Five distinct Immortal auras surged from different directions, shaking the entire sky.
