Chapter 75: Chapter 75 - Please

Lucius was forced to his knees as he raised his head arrogantly, locking eyes with the king, who was staring at him with clear disdain.

Lucius tried to assert the strength of the elves around him, and he didn’t feel in much danger at the moment, even if he was surrounded by all of them. He felt as if he could not lose, even if he fought against all of them.

"Speak, human. What is so important that you had to come all the way here?"

Lucius, who had lied his way here, knew that there was no point in keeping up this charade. It was much better to simply come out and say what he had really come here for.

His gaze shifted from the king to Alicia, who looked scared out of her mind, wondering why Lucius was before her inside her world. She had a ton of questions on her mind, but she stayed quiet, wondering how the situation would unfold from here on.

"The reason why I’m here?" Lucius repeated the question.

"Yes. Answer me. What is so urgent that you had to come here?"

Lucius noticed that the guards had already begun to grab onto their weapons located around their waists. They seemed ready to strike at the very moment he replied.

Still, he didn’t care and continued as if nothing special was happening.

"It’s quite simple. I wish to marry your daughter, Alicia Amastacia. That’s the urgent reason why I’m here."

"BLASPHEMY!" the king immediately shouted. "GUARDS! KILL HIM!"

They all pulled out their weapons as Lucius only smirked, slowly getting up to his feet. He was completely surrounded by swords that were only inches from his neck. If he took one step forward, a sword would pierce his head.

"NO! DON’T KILL HIM!"

Everyone in the room, including the king, turned their heads toward the princess, who had stood from her seat, pleading not to kill a human.

She noticed that they all stopped in their tracks when they heard her voice, letting out a sigh of relief.

"Do you know this human, Alicia?" the king asked in disdain, unable to hide his anger.

Lucius stood in the middle of the circle as he observed Alicia, who was trying her best to save him. However, Lucius hadn’t come here to be saved by Alicia. He had come here to take her back from them, even if it meant killing her father and destroying this kingdom as a whole.

"Alicia, stay seated. I got this," Lucius declared arrogantly as Alicia had her words stuck in her throat and suddenly sat down once again, listening to Lucius like a good girl, just like she had always done.

"How dare you order my daughter!" the king continued to scream at the top of his lungs. "Explain exactly what’s happening right away."

"Your daughter and I are in a relationsh—"

"Stop talking! KILL HIM!"

This time, the guards did not stop in their attack as the swords moved on their own toward Lucius’s head. However, he managed to move out of the way, slipping under the sword heading his way, disappearing from the middle of the circle as he reappeared before Alicia with a grin on his face.

"Missed me?" he said as he held out his hand to her.

Everyone was shocked as they all turned their gazes toward him, losing their minds in the process. No one in the room had even managed to follow his movements as Alicia was now grabbing his hand, standing up from her throne.

She had a smile at the corner of her mouth as she couldn’t help but stare at Lucius and everything he did. She couldn’t even look away from him as her mind raced in all kinds of directions.

"I did~!" she muttered as she jumped into his arms all of a sudden, giving him a long, tight hug under the gaze of her father.

Ever since she had decided to go back home, she had wished for Lucius to come here and bring her back to the Multiverse General Store. Life as a princess was so boring; back in the store, she could live just like she wanted without the slightest problem.

Her father, in particular, was on the verge of losing his mind as he continued to shout at his guards as loudly as he could. He wanted them to act as fast as possible.

"Stop watching him and do as he wishes! Do something!"

It seemed like marrying Alicia would be a little complicated, given how angry her father was.

Still, Lucius decided to stay calm as he could see the guards running over in his direction. He knew that they could not do anything against him since he was much stronger than them in every way.

Alicia looked worried as she whispered in his ear, "Don’t kill them, okay? I want you to have a good relationship with my father. That’s why I returned alone."

Lucius smiled at her words as he finally learned about the reason she had left him. At first, he had believed that it was because of his actions that she had not liked, prompting her to leave him and go back to her world. But now he understood that it was for their relationship to flourish even more.

"Good," Lucius said as he tightened his hold on her, fondling her without any shame as Alicia only became redder in the process.

Nevertheless, Lucius didn’t want to show everyone what he did in private with Alicia, especially in front of her own people. His goal was not to embarrass her; it was to save her.

"Stay here, okay?" Lucius said as he carefully placed her back on her throne. After doing so, Lucius turned his gaze toward the guards approaching him from all sides. It was time to give them a good beating that they would remember for quite some time.

He moved faster than a ghost as the guards were completely caught off guard when Lucius reappeared behind them and knocked out two of them.

Now that he had learned the reasons for Alicia’s return to this world, Lucius calmed himself down slightly as he knew it was not a good idea to antagonize everyone in this room. He wanted to show everyone present that they needed to respect him, and he would respect them back in return. That was all he asked for.

He wanted to stop being looked at with disdain; he wanted to be their equal.

"Stop attacking me, and I will stop attacking you. All I want is for us to talk to one another."

Lucius looked at the king as he said that. He didn’t care about those approaching him, and the king knew that they could not deal with this human. There was something very special about him, and he did not want to take too many risks.

"Then, explain in detail how you and my daughter have formed a relationship."

Lucius then began to explain vaguely what happened in the Multiverse General Store, and her father seemed to nod his head a little more this time, not once interrupting him. He stayed calm and composed through it all.

However, while that’s how the king looked on the outside, that was not the case on the inside. He was absolutely losing his mind as he continued to observe Lucius talk about how he and his daughter were now in a relationship. Lucius had even said that they had had sex together in front of all the elven nobles in the court.

The king wanted to rip his head off if possible. However, he had clearly noticed that Lucius was not someone he could deal with for the time being. He was way too strong for such a thing to happen. Not a single guard could even come close to handling him at that moment. That’s how special he was.

"So... you and my daughter have been in a relationship ever since she visited your store, is that it?" the king asked, his eyebrows twitching.

Lucius nodded with a smile. "That’s correct."

"So... while I was worried about my daughter’s safety, you were enjoying taking her virginity?" the king said as he raised his voice.

Lucius wanted to laugh in his face. However, he only nodded briefly as Alicia continued to become more and more nervous about this whole thing.

"Please, Father, I swear he’s a good person. Please approve of him! I won’t ever love anyone else but him! You have to say yes."

When Alicia spoke up, that’s when Lucius knew that it was over. The king was especially sensitive to everything that was coming out of her mouth. So, when she said that she wanted to be with Lucius and even marry him, the king knew that it was already over.

He was on the verge of losing his mind as he heard his daughter say that she would never find love again.

"You want to marry him?" the king said, forcing the words out of his mouth.

Alicia smiled brightly. "Yes! Please, he’s the best! I swear!"

The king took a deep breath. He didn’t want to be angry with his daughter; she was only acting on what she believed to be right.

But then, as he locked eyes with the arrogant Lucius, he struggled really hard to accept him.

"He will have dinner with us tonight. Only after that will I decide if he can marry you. Understood?"

Alicia jumped with a big smile on her face as she ran up into her father’s arms.

"Thank you! You’re the best!"
