I Married A Degraded Alpha -
Chapter 65: Learning from Tuss
Chapter 65: Learning from Tuss
Beta Clothes is a clothing brand famous throughout the Alliance. The brand focuses on clothing for betas, known for its softness, comfort, style, tailoring, and quality. It’s one of the favorite clothing brands among betas.
The prices are indeed high.
However, it’s common knowledge that betas in the Alliance are typically affluent. The higher-ranking the beta, the wealthier they are.
So, Beta Clothes had always had good business.
When Tuss entered the store, it was already quite crowded. He had followed a few girls into the store, and it wasn’t until they were inside that they noticed his presence.
"This is a women’s clothing store," one of the girls reminded Tuss.
Tuss nodded, his face expressionless as he said, "I know."
The girls didn’t know what else to say, so they went off to find the saleswoman. But as soon as they walked away, Tuss followed them.
"Do you think he’s buying clothes for his wife?" one of the girls whispered.
"It’s possible."
"What a sweet man. The clothes here aren’t cheap. Most omegas aren’t as sensitive, so there’s no need to choose such soft clothing."
Tuss pretended not to hear their conversation, but he thought to himself, Yuri deserves the best things in the world.
The girls found a saleswoman who showed them the new arrivals. As the girls touched and felt the fabric, Tuss did the same.
He had to admit, it was really soft.
He observed the girls interact with the saleswoman and place their orders. For every item they bought, Tuss bought the same, stating Yuri’s size accurately.
In the end, each of the girls bought one or two items, while Tuss purchased eight or nine.
The girls exchanged glances, their thoughts complex. One of them even posted the scene in the class group chat, zooming in on the words "Beta Clothes" and the bags in Tuss’s hands.
Girl 1: "The boys in our class should learn from Tuss."
Girl 2: "He’s willing to put in effort."
Girl 3: "And he’s willing to spend money."
Guy 1: "I’m willing to learn from Tuss. Can the class provide me with a wife?"
Guy 2: "Same question here."
Girl 1: "Dream on."
Girl 2: "We’re not interested in kids who haven’t even grown a full beard yet."
Girl 3: "Exactly, too immature."
....
While the group chat was buzzing with conversation, Tuss remained oblivious.
After the girls left the store, he sought the saleswoman again and, under her guidance, bought a dozen sets of underwear for Yuri.
Leaving Beta Clothes, Tuss went to find Ender and the others.
"Those three planets are currently experiencing traffic jams. Having a flying vehicle is more convenient. Moreover, Planet Alpha is so large that having our own flying vehicle means we don’t have to cram into public transportation anymore," Ender said. He once owned a vehicle, but lost it later.
Not having a vehicle was indeed inconvenient, and he still wasn’t used to a life without one.
"I don’t have enough savings," Kilana admitted honestly.
"Me neither," Daleks confessed with a troubled expression.
Ender recalled the time half a year ago when they pooled money to buy Tuss a mecha. He checked his astracredit balance and said, "I’ll buy a small one, with five seats."
Kilana and Daleks instantly grinned, "You’re the best, Ender."
Tuss, who had been standing behind the shelf, turned around and silently left. As he walked away, he opened his opticomputer to check his and Yuri’s savings.
Despite owning a mecha and a lev, his savings had not decreased at all, but rather, had increased.
The mecha was purchased with the money from selling the Blue Keystone, the lev was a gift from the First Commander, and recently, the gemstones they put up for auction fetched a high price, causing their savings to suddenly increase by tens of millions.
They were now wealthy individuals with assets exceeding a hundred million.
But he didn’t want to use this money to buy Daleks and Kilana flying vehicles. This money was not just his, but also Yuri’s.
On his way back from the mall, Tuss was pondering this problem, so much so that he was still lost in thought when he returned home.
Yuri didn’t ask him directly. She was busy with the metals she had bought online, melting and purifying them, and using Enova to forge them into sharp flying knives.
In a public setting, manipulating flying knives was more "reasonable" than directly controlling metal.
"Do you want one?" Yuri asked the distracted Tuss.
Tuss nodded, looking at Yuri as if he wanted to say something.
Yuri raised an eyebrow, asking, "Something’s troubling you?"
Tuss then recounted the scene at the mall today.
"How much does a single or double-seater flying vehicle cost in astracredit?" Yuri asked.
"Between hundreds of thousands to millions," Tuss answered.
"Then buy it," Yuri said generously.
Tuss’s heart swelled with sweetness at her words. She loved money so much, yet she was willing to spend it on his friends. It showed how much she cared about him.
"I want to use the astracredits I received from the insectoids I killed during the volunteer activities to buy them flying vehicles," Tuss said.
Yuri looked surprised, "?"
"The savings are mine, but more importantly, they are yours. I can’t use your money to handle my affairs," Tuss stated earnestly.
Yuri was touched and chuckled, "Usually in such cases, shouldn’t men say ’that’s my money, I earned it, and I get to decide where it goes?’"
Tuss’s mouth twitched as he said, "Yuri, I’m not like them. My money is all yours, and I am also yours."
The sudden confession made Yuri’s face blush, avoiding Tuss’s gaze. "Then we’ll kill insectoids together. I was the one who ruined the mecha and flying vehicle. I should take some responsibility."
"It wasn’t you, it was the insectoids," Tuss had heard the descriptions from Daleks and others. Even if Yuri hadn’t turned the flying vehicle and mecha into blades, they would have been completely wrecked and rejected by the repair shop.
The next day, Tuss and Yuri drove the lev to pick up Ender, Daleks, and Kilana, and they all flew to the spaceport together.
Sitting in the brand-new flying vehicle, Daleks and the others couldn’t hide their excitement, "This is the Alliance’s latest flying vehicle. It hasn’t even hit the market yet."
"The selling price is over a hundred million. Not many people can afford it," Ender stated.
"Regardless of the price, this is indeed the most comfortable lev I’ve ever ridden in. It’s also said to have the strongest explosion and bulletproof capabilities in the Alliance right now," Daleks commented, reaching out to touch the vehicle’s body and seemingly ready to take a bite.
"Don’t, don’t leave your drool on it," Yuri prevented him.
"I thought you’d tell me to be careful with my teeth," Daleks remarked with a hurt expression.
Yuri shot him a glance, "If you don’t care about your teeth, why should I?"
Upon arriving at the spaceport, the team Officer Lyao sent to protect Yuri and Tuss immediately approached them. Yuri thought there would only be around ten people, but almost a hundred showed up.
She was stunned. Going to volunteer with nearly a hundred bodyguards, is this some kind of joke?
Yuri turned to look at Tuss, who appeared unfazed, as if he had expected this all along.
"Isn’t this a bit too ostentatious?" Yuri asked.
"It’s just a hundred people, nothing much. Look at those commanders, each time they go out, they have over a hundred, even up to thousands of people," Daleks said dismissively.
Yuri then looked at Ender and Kilana, both of whom also appeared unperturbed.
Yuri hesitated. Maybe I should just get used to it.
