I Married A Degraded Alpha
Chapter 195: The Person She’s Waiting For

Chapter 195: The Person She’s Waiting For

When they reached the 200th stone, all the store owners and the head honcho of Gem Gambling Street showed up. They stared at Yuri, their eyes filled with a blood-thirsty, gnashing hatred.

"Does anyone know which stores she visited?"

"I remember a few of them, let’s go buy a few stones ourselves?"

"I don’t believe it. If she can get gems out of randomly picked stones, surely I can get something out of carefully selected ones."

"Perhaps all the stones on Gem Gambling Street have treasures inside."

"What are we waiting for? Let’s go!"

The crowd scattered, and the store owners exchanged glances before running back to their shops.

"Bawu, I’m off to buy some rough stones. I’ll see you later." Zack said to Yuri, and then he dashed off without a backward glance.

"Miss, would you like to continue cutting stones?" the stone cutter asked Yuri.

Yuri stood up, stuffed the remaining stones into a bag and said, "No more for now. I want to save the rest to slowly enjoy at home."

After packing up her rough stones and over a hundred gems, Yuri was about to leave when...

"Hold on."

A voice came from behind, Yuri paused and turned around. She looked at the approaching man and asked, "Can I help you?"

If she wasn’t mistaken, someone had called him the boss earlier. So, he was the head honcho of Gem Gambling Street.

"Do you have something on you?" The man’s gaze was sharp, as if he was trying to see right through Yuri.

Yuri sneered, "What do you mean?"

"You’ve found something in every single one of the two hundred stones you picked. I suspect you have something on you that’s helping you cheat. Do you care to explain?" The man’s tone was hostile, he was convinced Yuri had smuggled something in.

"Is there something that can tell whether a stone contains a gem? I wasn’t aware. Besides, didn’t your detectors check when I entered? I have no prohibited items on me. And there was nothing unusual about my selection process. Don’t you know all this?" Yuri sneered.

The man frowned. It was precisely because everything seemed normal that he found it abnormal. Two hundred stones and not a single dud... That was impossible. Something about the whole situation smelled fishy.

"I suspect you’re up to something. I’m going to check your dimensional button." The man blocked Yuri’s path, his attitude firm.

"What if I refuse?" Yuri scoffed.

"Then don’t blame me for not being polite." The man signaled, and in an instant, a dozen big, burly men in black ran out.

The moment these men rushed forward, Yuri made her move.

In less than three minutes, the dozen big, burly men in black were all on the ground, groaning in pain.

Yuri took a step toward the man, his gaze turning dangerous. The next second, a pungent smell of gasoline came from the man.

It was the smell of pheromone.

Yuri held her breath, using her psychic power to penetrate the man’s Sea of Consciousness, "Withdraw your pheromone, or else, you’d wish you were dead."

The man was drenched in cold sweat, obediently retracting his pheromone.

Seeing this, Yuri also withdrew her psychic power and smiled at the man, "Didn’t I bring business to the entire Gem Gambling Street?"

Without her uncovering so many jade gems, the businesses wouldn’t have boomed.

The man couldn’t argue. However, seeing her walk away with two hundred valuable jade gems, he was far from satisfied.

"Miss Bawu, is it?" Another man approached.

Yuri’s face didn’t change, but internally she sighed, as the person she was waiting for had arrived.

The famous jeweler from the Empire, the third son of the Leir family from the capital, Kinx. He was known as an S-tier alpha but was in reality an SSS-tier, the most talented of the Leir family’s younger generation. This information was given to her by Officer Lyao, how he knew about it, she didn’t know.

Last year, the Empire traded a starstone for three SS-tier betas with the Space-sparkle, one of which was Kinx’s sister.

"Mr. Leir." The man became respectful upon seeing the new arrival.

Kinx gave the man a slight nod, "Long time no see."

After greeting him, Kinx turned to Yuri and said, "Miss Bawu?"

Yuri made a sound of acknowledgement, "What can I do for you?"

Kinx, with a light smile that was like a warm spring breeze, said, "I’m interested in the jade stones in your possession, Miss Bawu. Are you planning to sell them?"

"They are just average stuff, what’s the point of selling them?" Bawu replied arrogantly.

A twitch appeared at the corner of Kinx’s mouth. Among the hundred odd gem stones, there were several rare treasures worth more than a hundred million.

"I wonder what’s considered special in Miss Bawu’s eyes?" Kinx still had a smile on his face.

"I’ll let you know when I see it," Bawu yawned, "Since you want to buy, shouldn’t we find a place to sit down and talk?"

Kinx’s smile deepened, "I was thinking the same. If you don’t mind, how about my hotel?"

Bawu yawned again, "Lead the way."

And just like that, Yuri left with Kinx.

"Sir, should we follow them?" An underling of the market honcho asked.

"What’s the point in following? What could we possibly do?" The guy scowled and then laughed, "Hmph, this Kinx Lier is known for his cunning, a different face in public and in private. The poor Bawu, she might end up losing everything in his hands."

"What about the jade gems—"

The guy slapped the underling on the head, "You’re coveting what Kinx is after? You sick of living?"

The conversation didn’t escape Yuri’s ears. She frowned and wondered, Kinx doesn’t seem to have a good reputation in the Empire... is this another one of his acts? But why would he do this? What is the Leir family after?

Apart from Kinx’s alpha rank, the only other thing Yuri knew from Officer Lyao was that Kinx and his SS-tier sister were very close. The rest was a mystery.

Yuri and Kinx entered the best hotel on Planet Poseidon, the largest suite.

Yuri had been in the star system for quite some time, but this was the first time she’d seen such a luxurious room. It was inlaid with gold and jade everywhere, making her dizzy.

"You don’t seem to be afraid of me at all," Kinx said with a smirk.

"That’s because of my power," Bawu’s eyes sharpened.

Kinx laughed heartily, "Miss Bawu, you’re quite interesting."

"Enough with the idle talk, let’s start trading." Yuri walked to the window, pulling open the curtains, "The natural light will give a more accurate view."

Kinx moved the round table in front of the window, brought over two chairs, a bottle of wine, and two glasses. "Take your time looking, and then we’ll discuss."

Yuri shook her head, "I don’t drink."

Kinx didn’t insist, "Then no need."

Yuri took out the jade stones she’d cut earlier, placing them on the table. The table wasn’t big enough, so some were placed on the floor, "You pick which ones you want to buy."

Kinx looked at her indifferent attitude towards these beautiful jade gems, his eyes deepening, "What if I want all of them?"

"Do you have enough money?" Yuri raised an eyebrow.

"That would depend on how much you’re asking. If you’re willing to lower the price a bit, I think I can afford it," Kinx continued smiling.

Yuri furrowed her brows, pondering for a moment, "Three billion, no negotiations."

Kinx’s smile broadened, "You’re trying to recoup your losses from today, from me, aren’t you?"

"You can think of it that way," Yuri was blunt.

"And if I said I don’t have that much money and suggest a physical payment instead?" Kinx’s smile became suggestive, his slender, jade-like fingers beginning to unbutton his white shirt.

"I prefer women," Yuri stated seriously.

Kinx stiffened, "You joking?"

"Do I look like I’m joking?" Yuri glanced at him.

Kinx sighed, calmly re-buttoning his shirt, "What a pity. I’ll pay then."
