I Married A Degraded Alpha -
Chapter 134: She is the SSS-tier Beta
Chapter 134: She is the SSS-tier Beta
"Everyone, get out of here!"
"Don’t cluster, leave this place."
Teachers were shouting at the top of their lungs.
Chaos erupted on the playground as students ran helter-skelter.
But no matter how fast they ran, the spread of the mental threads was faster. In mere seconds, the number of alpha kids with crumbling Seas of Consciousness spiked on both the east and west sides of the field.
"Tuss, drive the western crowd to the east," Yuri commanded, dashing toward the east, where the worst "genesis of infection" — Hoarah — was.
Almost before her words had ended, she was standing in front of Hoarah. Placing her hand on his head, she instantly calmed him.
At the same time, she unleashed her psychic power at the other frenzied students.
"Yuri, we’ll help," offered Daleks.
"Capture those who escaped," she ordered.
"Understood."
Meanwhile, Tuss was darting around like a shadow among the panicked crowd, his hand holding a piece of metal thread. His speed was breathtaking.
When he finally stopped, almost all the unruly ones were tied up by him.
"Non-alpha students, please help me herd these people toward the eastern field," Tuss shouted.
The students of Military Academy No. 1 sprang into action at his words.
The mental threads of alphas could also affect omegas, giving them headaches and irritability, but it wouldn’t be lethal in a short time. So, undeterred by the pain, these students eagerly helped out.
They pushed, pulled, and hauled more than thirty alpha students toward the eastern field.
With a quick glance, Yuri said, "That’s enough, everyone back off, stay a hundred yards away."
Everyone looked at each other and then at Tuss. He locked eyes with Yuri for a moment, then quickly retreated, calling, "Everyone, fall back a hundred yards."
With that, only Yuri and nearly a hundred alphas with crumbling Seas of Consciousness remained in the eastern field.
"Can Yuri handle this alone?" Daleks asked, worried.
"What can we do if she can’t? Can you help her?" Kilana snapped, anxiously.
Ender looked at them and suggested, "We should find Jira, make sure she doesn’t approach Yuri."
"No need, I saw her escorted away by the security team," Hoolin panted, squeezing through the crowd.
At that moment, Tuss came over and asked, "When did Jira get better?"
"She’s been resting in the villa, didn’t even take midterms. Who knew she’d stir up trouble now," Hoolin ground out through clenched teeth.
Tuss’s face dimmed, his eyes never leaving Yuri’s figure in the distance. If anything went wrong, he was ready to dash to her rescue.
"We’re done for, Yuri’s identity is completely exposed now," Daleks worried.
"Exposed?" Vernon glanced at Daleks, suppressing his surprise. "So, you guys knew all along?"
Daleks, Kilana, and Ender nodded, "Yeah, we’ve known for a long time. Is there a problem?"
Vernon felt like his world was falling apart. "We’ve been through so much together, and you kept this secret from me too! Don’t you feel guilty?"
Daleks, Kilana, and Ende shook their heads in unison. "No. Everything is for Yuri’s safety."
Vernon, heartbroken, clung to Jo. "They’re terrible. Let’s not hang out with them anymore."
Jo patted Vernon’s back. "The fewer people who know about Yuri’s safety, the better."
Vernon, not consoled, withdrew from Jo’s embrace quietly.
The shock wasn’t limited to Vernon. The students of Military Academy No. 1 felt dizzy, their intellect seemed to be shattered. Heavens! We were all being played around by Yuri like fools. How embarrassing.
"Yuri never admitted she’s a robot."
"But she never denied it either. Even Tuss didn’t."
"In conclusion, it was all our imagination and speculation."
"Who was the jackrabbit who proposed the robot hypothesis?"
"If you believe what others say, aren’t you like a wind-vane, with no judgment of your own?"
"Fine, I admit, I was stupid."
"Me too, my brain must be filled with seawater."
"...."
"Let’s set this aside for now. Let’s talk about this SSS-tier thing."
"Everything seems to have hints, but we were just stupid."
"No wonder Hoarah fell for her at first sight."
"Yeah, he chose her over Tuss. It would be hilarious if she was an android."
"Turns out the joke’s on us."
The students of Military Academy No. 1 felt humiliated, wishing they could escape the scene right away.
On the field, Yuri’s face was gradually turning pale.
Teachers nearby frowned with concern.
"Can she hold on?"
"Hard to say, there are too many of them."
"If something happens to her, we’re going to be so screwed. Should we stop her?"
"She’s the one Officer Lyao said should be saved first, even over the First Commander. Let’s notify Officer Lyao, let him decide."
"Okay, I’ll contact him."
When Officer Lyao’s projected image appeared on the field, the chatting students quieted down, their expressions serious, and their bodies instinctively straightened up.
"Officer Lyao" walked over to Yuri, coming to stand beside her. "Yuri, if you can’t hold on, stop. Don’t overdo it."
Yuri didn’t look at Officer Lyao. "I’m not. Just a few more left."
Officer Lyao glanced at the scene, then at her pale face, and said seriously, "Not a few, it’s more than ten."
There were over seventy who were unconscious, and more than a dozen were still grimacing. Yuri was looking pale, and she was trembling.
"Just twenty minutes more," Yuri gritted her teeth.
Officer Lyao hesitated, then turned to the students on the side. "Non-alpha students, come and take these unconscious ones away."
"Yes, sir," the students responded. A group rushed forward, swiftly carrying away all the unconscious alpha students on the ground.
Officer Lyao then looked at Tuss. "Watch her. If she can’t hold on any longer, get her out of here immediately."
"Yes, sir," Tuss responded.
Finally, Officer Lyao approached the security team. "Be prepared. If Yuri goes down, you must eliminate the rest immediately."
"Yes, sir." The security team readied their guns, aiming at the students who had lost consciousness.
The entire field was now filled with a tense atmosphere.
