Chapter 328: Chapter 324 Rosie and the Mermaid

Actually, after the half-year trial period had passed, Windsor and the others were fully capable of managing on their own.

Although there were often cases of witches being duped, this batch of witches had become much more vigilant under her everyday influence.

The little princess from the Mermaid Kingdom wouldn’t be 15 for nearly another year, and Mu Ying might be staying underwater during this time; it seemed another stable period lay ahead.

"Ah?" Windsor’s first reaction was excitement, but she was also a bit reluctant to leave her regular customers at Moon Port behind.

"Being cooped up for so long can be quite boring, so why don’t we start a small shop together? You can sell fragrances and essential oils, and I’ll sell magic potions. After a year, I won’t stay here either. It would be a pity to put so much effort into a shop only to use it for one year," suggested Mu Ying.

Having visited Windsor’s small shop, to be honest, Mu Ying was somewhat envious of that kind of life—staying in one place, running a cozy and fulfilling little store.

With a whole year to spend, it seemed a waste to put in so much effort alone only to leave later. If Windsor joined in cooperation, she could continue to run the business after Mu Ying left.

Windsor thought about it and figured the worst-case scenario would be changing the opening hours of her shop at Moon Port from every afternoon to just a few days each week or month!

If the income was good, she could even hire someone to help mind the store, just like Debra, whose shops on both land and sea brought in double the earnings.

And the key thing was the merman brother.

So she agreed, even feeling a bit excited to immediately start discussing the details of opening the shop with Mu Ying.

"Hey, how come you two are here, just circling in the sky?" Rosie had noticed their arrival quite some time ago, but they hadn’t landed despite her waiting, so, exasperatedly, she flew up on her broom to hurry them along.

"Senior Sister!" Mu Ying, on her broomstick, swiftly zoomed beside her and, letting go, hugged her from the side, "I missed you!"

"If you missed me, then hurry up and get down!" Rosie snapped, pinching Mu Ying’s cheek.

Only then did the three of them fly towards the small waterfall in the middle of the island.

Outside a wooden cabin by the small lake beneath the waterfall, a handsome guy with long, blue curly hair waved at them from atop a large rock. His blue mermaid tail shimmered brilliantly in the sunlight.

"Isn’t he handsome?" Windsor whispered to Mu Ying, gossiping.

Mu Ying: "..."

Pretty average, not as handsome as Shi Yin!

Delicate, yes, but lacking in masculinity.

"Hello, I am Bertrand, Rosie’s partner!" The merman greeted, looking a bit nervous, especially toward Mu Ying.

Mu Ying snorted. She wasn’t going to eat a merman, so why was he so afraid of her?

As long as he treated Senior Sister Rosie well, she had no objections to him whatsoever.

She now considered herself in the role of protective family, and Senior Sister Rosie truly liked Bertrand. Unlike Margaret and the Werewolf, who even had a child together, Margaret still felt nothing; it was purely the Werewolf insisting on taking responsibility.

"All right, Bertrand is quite shy, so don’t scare him. Spend some time with him and you’ll see, he’s a very gentle person," Senior Sister Rosie mediated, "Knowing you were coming, Bertrand went early to catch a lot of seafood, and it’s almost ready. Let’s eat first!"

Mu Ying and Windsor nodded in agreement.

Senior Sister Rosie was looking out for her merman boyfriend!

Everywhere in Senior Sister Rosie’s house, you could tell she had taken Bertrand into consideration.

For example, the dining room was half wooden flooring and half empty, with lake water below.

The dining table was a low, round one, placed right on the edge of the floor.

Mu Ying and the others sat on vine-woven cushions at the edge of the table, while Bertrand leaped over to sit at the edge of the floor, his tail still in the water.

Senior Sister Rosie sat next to him.

During the meal, Mu Ying felt sour watching Senior Sister Rosie and Bertrand serve each other food with such coordination.

Her senior sister belonged to someone else now!

Well, might as well enjoy her seafood feast, which was always better than being fed dog food.

After the meal, Mu Ying went to visit Senior Sister Rosie’s Medicinal Garden.

Senior Sister had two gardens, one on land and one at the bottom of the lake.

The one on land contained magic plant species similar to those Senior Sister had cultivated in the school’s Medicine Field before she graduated.

As for the one at the bottom of the lake, half of it, on this side of the underwater passage, was planted with freshwater magic plants, while the other half, on the other side of the passage, was planted with marine magic plants.

Mu Ying’s eyes shone brightly as she looked around.

"Senior Sister~" Mu Ying tugged at her senior’s sleeve with a swing.

With a chuckle, Rosie said, "I knew you were coming, so I’ve prepared a set of seeds for you."

"Hehe, I knew Senior Sister was the best!" Mu Ying cooed. "I’ve also prepared some for Senior Sister, some fresh plant seeds I’ve collected over the past half year of my travels. Some are magic plants, and some are ordinary ones."

As fellow green witches, the feeling of exchanging plant stocks was nothing short of exhilarating for Mu Ying, who came away with a full haul, not just of plant seeds but even with planting advice from her senior sister.

Once she tried sowing them and moving them into the real world to grow, she would reap a wave of Professional Experience.

Since she had a total of three hours of Trial Time today, she could stay in the Emerald World for a full nine days. Now only on her second day, Mu Ying planned to wrap up the shop opening business so that she could just take it easy afterward, waiting for a reply from the Magic Potion Teacher while prematurely living out a retiree’s life in the Undersea Mermaid Kingdom.

So after visiting the Medicinal Garden, Senior Sister Rosie and Bertrand planned to take them to the Royal Capital Crystal City of the Mermaid Kingdom.

But first, Rosie shooed Bertrand out of the room and took out three bottles of Breathing Potion, as well as three cases of Fish Tail Potion.

"Drink another bottle of Breathing Potion to extend the time a bit, and then onto the Fish Tail Potion, one case for each person!"

Seeing the discrepancy in the amounts, Mu Ying’s mouth twitched, "Is Fish Tail Potion that tricky?"

"Cough, I’m just being extra cautious in case your luck is too bad. Give it a try," Rosie said vaguely, handing them each a bottle.

Mu Ying faintly sensed something was off. "Isn’t the Breathing Potion enough? We don’t necessarily need the tail ones, do we?"

"It’s nicer if everyone has a tail. It looks tidier, and the tail is much more convenient in the water. You swim faster too. Otherwise, relying on two legs, who knows how long it will take," insisted Senior Sister Rosie.

"Let’s drink, let’s drink, I haven’t had it before!" Windsor said.

Mu Ying: "..."

Alright then, even if what formed was an octopus tail, she wasn’t averse to it.

Under Rosie’s expectant gaze, Mu Ying and Windsor changed into skirts and sat at the edge of the floor. They drank the Magic Potion one after another.

Below the skirts, their legs uncontrollably fused together, enveloped in a misty grey glow.

A moment later, Windsor curiously peered at her own legs covered in the glow, while Mu Ying wore a strange expression.

Although she couldn’t clearly see what her legs had become, she retained sensation in them and distinctly felt a splitting sensation.

Certainly not an octopus, right?

Was it too late to take back what she said before?

Mu Ying worried about seeing something unspeakable.
