Chapter 200 - 197: Space Travel Box
Chapter 200: Chapter 197: Space Travel Box
Having returned to her dorm with the travel case in hand and after sending a tower-dwelling mouse to deliver the Five-petal Flower to the principal, Mu Ying finally felt like the Space Travel Box had truly become her own.
[Space Travel Box]
[Function: A box with expanded interior space, the exterior solidified with a magic shield, features 200 square feet of living space complete with all necessary furnishings and supplies]
[Physical Conversion: 500 Source Power per item]
[Physical Effect: Consistent with effect pre-conversion]
[Source Power Conversion: Not available for conversion]
To convert required 500 Source Power, Mu Ying checked her balance.
[Source Power: 12158]
It was all contributions from the collection efforts of Square World’s villagers.
With the Evil Wizard gone, the nights in Square World had become safe, and as long as the villagers had enough to eat, they could maintain their energy and work for her day and night. Each person could contribute materials worth at least 1 to 2 Source Power per day, and sometimes even more when precious resources were found. Even when she used Trial Time and was in Emerald World, Square World kept running on the other side.
After saving for so long, she had only accumulated a little over twelve thousand, which seemed like a lot, but the most precious Village Chief Seal in Square World could convert into a Fragmented World that recognized its master and needed 1 million Source Power, so Mu Ying was very frugal in using Source Power.
This Space Travel Box would definitely be of great use once converted, but once converted, she would lose the one in Emerald World.
Considering that she would be graduating in half a year and entering the human world for travel, this item would provide her with a lot of convenience, so she temporarily dismissed the idea of converting it.
The travel box was a deep coffee color, made of leather with metal edging, not that large—it was twelve inches long, two and a half inches wide, and nine inches high, and it felt very light when picked up.
It could be opened without the need for magical attachment, revealing an interior consistent with the exterior.
Mu Ying imprinted her own exclusive Magic Mark on the Magic Lock and then activated it with her Magic Power to open it.
The Box unfolded, revealing the entrance to an inner space; a spiraling staircase led down to a living room, clearly styled by Lady Melanie, with extensive use of various purple fabrics combined with black gauze and lace, the embroidery delicate and complex. The furniture was all cherry wood with a vintage feel, complemented by sparkling magic crystal lamps, the utmost in luxury, exquisite down to every corner.
Although it was entirely different from Mu Ying’s preferred bright and natural style, she couldn’t help but admire Melanie’s aesthetic, which was another form of beauty taken to the extreme.
Soft sofas, comfortable carpets, a spacious kitchen, intricate tea and dinnerware, walls lined with solid wood bookshelves, a large desk, and even a fully-equipped workbench.
On the other side, swaying behind strands of purple crystal beads, there was an irregular-shaped hot spring tub large enough for several people to bathe in, not far from the tub and behind pale purple bed curtains was a bed large enough for her to roll around on.
Next to it was a full-length mirror and a wall-spanning wardrobe.
"I’ve struck gold!" Mu Ying burst into a foolish grin at the sight of the decor and facilities, thinking it best to keep a low profile around the principal for a while—she was afraid Melanie might change her mind, ha ha!
She twiddled the Dingling Flower hanging around her neck, reaching out to Windsor Lillian and several of her junior classmates by touching their flower buds, "Tonight, let’s have a pajama pool party. Tana doesn’t need to prepare dinner; I’ll take care of everything. Everyone, please bring your pajamas and knock on my door when the moon rises tonight, there will be a surprise! Hehe!"
Windsor: "Okay, I’ll bring a bottle of Senior Reni’s wine!"
Lillian: "Why a pajama pool party at your room? Are we going to fly from your place to the lake and show off our diving skills? Haha!"
Tana: "Got it, looking forward to it!"
Shela: "Received!"
"What does ’party’ mean?" Tina quietly called her own senior sister.
"It’s a party, a soiree," Lillian explained in a hurry and then hung up the Dingling Flower, bombarding Mu Ying with a barrage of questions.
"Should I come over to your place now and show you? I’ve never actually tried high-diving before, it must be really exciting!"
Mu Ying: "..."
Taking a deep breath, "I’ll excite your big dumb head, what kind of thought process makes you think I’d organize everyone to go diving? I’m warning you, don’t you dare try it on your own, or you’re done for tonight!"
I’m really afraid she’d want to try everything and end up being the first witch in history to die tragically before graduating.
"It’s not that? Then what is it? Come on, spill it, talk!" Lillian was not the least bit reticent, dancing on Mu Ying’s last nerve. The Dingling Flower was really something, no longer had to worry about getting thumped for running her mouth!
"Can I just barge in now and see your surprised face? Huh?"
Mu Ying suddenly found a bug in the Dingling Flower—it had no blacklist function to throw Lillian, the pestering nuisance, into the sin bin.
She stopped taking her calls and just let the Dingling Flower ring incessantly, quietly pondering how to give Lillian a lesson to remember tonight.
Last year’s Lillian, although lively, was not so audacious. It seems without Senior Reni’s supervision, she gradually revealed her true colors and set herself free.
Sometimes, Mu Ying wondered if she actually liked getting teased and suppressed by myself and Windsor, otherwise, how could she keep forgetting the pain after the wound healed?
Shaking her head, she went out to the lounge to get some ingredients and returned to the Box to cook.
The kitchen area inside the Box even had a large frosty chest, a Box solidified with Ice and Snow Magic, similar to a real-world refrigerator—also a product of Alchemy.
Mu Ying directed the kitchen utensils and ingredients to prep themselves, making large portions of fried chicken, fries, and a fruit platter, with soda water as the drink.
Imagine munching on fried chicken and fruit while drinking bubbly soda in the bath—it’ll be perfect!
As the kitchen got busy, Mu Ying changed into her nightgown.
It wasn’t long before she heard her room door being pounded with a thunderous noise.
It was Lillian, no doubt.
Mu Ying stepped out of the Box and had barely opened the door when she saw a red head poking in first, "Where’s the pool?"
The others were behind her.
Mu Ying put her arm over Lillian’s shoulder, encircling her neck with a threatening tone, "Don’t rush, honey, we’ve got all night!"
Then turning to the others with a gentle smile she said, "Today, I traded with the headmaster for a little something using the Dingling Flower. I want you all to come and have fun with it, follow me."
"That’s favoritism, I’m filing a complaint," Lillian half complained before catching sight of the open Box on the ground, her eyes widening, "Wait, is this a Space Travel Box?"
"Lady Melanie’s custom-designed, already decorated travel Box!" Mu Ying grinned, rounding up it’s almost the same as bathing in Melanie’s house.
"Wow!" Lillian was the first to leap down.
The others quickly followed suit.
"Oh my God! When am I ever going to be able to afford a Box like this?" Lillian’s envious tears streamed down from the corner of her mouth.
"Give it up, even slaying all the creatures in the back mountain wouldn’t be enough," Tina scoffed.
