Chapter 1444: Yang Ye Versus Plain Skirt Destiny

Chapter 1444: Yang Ye Versus Plain Skirt Destiny

Shang Hongyi stared intently at the man in the blue robe. She knew that he couldn't possibly be ordinary, but she couldn't care less. After all, she was just an avatar of the true body. More importantly, the Great Daoist Brush Master had her back.

He wouldn't just stand by and watch her die. With that in mind, Shang Hongyi had nothing to fear.

Her goal was to use this avatar to incite a full-scale war, trapping Ye Guan and the others here once and for all.

Seeing that some top experts were charging alongside her, a faint smile curled at the corner of her lips.

The next moment, everyone froze.

Thud!

Before anyone could react, Shang Hongyi dropped straight to her knees, and both of her knees shattered on impact!

As for the experts charging alongside her, their heads were severed in the blink of an eye. Their bodies were still moving forward, but their heads were left behind. From their severed necks, blood gushed upward like geysers.

A deathly silence descended.

Shang Hongyi knelt before Yang Ye in a daze. First, she felt shock, then disbelief, and finally, terror, as she hadn't even realized how she ended up kneeling before Yang Ye.

How was this even possible?!

The experts in the distance were left frozen, completely stunned.

Yang Ye looked down coldly at Shang Hongyi.

However, Shang Hongyi met his gaze without a hint of fear. She knew that the Great Daoist Brush Master was standing nearby, and there was no way that he'd let her die.

And after all, this was just her avatar. It wouldn't matter even if it was destroyed. Yang Ye saw through her thoughts and raised one finger toward the sky. Then, he yanked something from the firmament.

Crack!

The very fabric of the firmament split open, and the next instant, a figure was forcibly dragged out of the rift. They smashed hard into the ground before Shang Hongyi.

They were none other than Shang Hongyi's true body.

Her true body... was yanked all the way here from across the vast expanse. She was utterly stunned, as her true body was hidden tens of trillions of light years away, and she was inside an independent spacetime domain at that, which was also being protected by complex Great Dao seals.

Even powerhouses beyond the Domain Lord Realm couldn't break those seals so easily. Despite that, Yang Ye had destroyed them all and dragged her, slamming her hard into the ground.

At that moment, Shang Hongyi was finally afraid. She realized that the gap between herself and the man before her was unfathomable.

The blue-robed man... could definitely kill her. Shang Hongyi turned toward the Great Daoist Brush Master in desperation. He was her last hope.

Seeing her pleading gaze, Yang Ye curled his lips into a mocking smile.

"Oh no, the Great Daoist Brush Master is actually here? I'm so... scared!" Yang Ye exclaimed, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

The Great Daoist Brush Master's face darkened. "Yang Ye... this was a bet. You—"

Yang Ye shot him a cold glance. "Kneel."

Before the Great Daoist Brush Master could finish, a sword was already at his throat.

Thud!

Then, he was forced to his knees.

Everyone was speechless.

"He surrendered," Yang Ye said calmly. Staring at the Great Daoist Brush Master, he added, "Great Daoist Brush Master, I've stayed out of your mess with my grandson for a long time. You and I have at least kept things cordial on the surface. But today, I realized that I have been giving you too much face!"

Boom!

A wave of terrifying bloodline pressure exploded and enveloped the heavens and the earth.

Except for Ye Guan, Yi Nian, and Plain-Skirt Destiny, every single person present was forced to their knees. Their eyes were filled not only with terror, but with despair as well.

To their horror, they were nothing more than ants in the presence of this blue-robed man. Even the two Civilization Founders couldn't resist. They, too, were crushed under the pressure. They were starting to question reality.

After all, they were supposed to be the most powerful existences in the observable universe. The man standing before them had completely shattered their illusion of invincibility.

Before true, absolute power, they were mere ants.

How could they accept that?

Yang Ye locked his gaze onto the Great Daoist Brush Master. An invisible killing intent billowed out of him.

The Great Daoist Brush Master turned pale, panic creeping into his voice as he exclaimed, "Yang Ye! Stop it! Your grandson isn't invincible yet, you..."

Truth be told, compared to Plain-Skirt Destiny, the Great Daoist Brush Master feared Yang Ye even more, as Plain-Skirt Destiny could be reasoned with, but this lunatic... When Yang Ye went mad, he would really do anything.

Yang Ye looked at the Great Daoist Brush Master, saying nothing.

The Great Daoist Brush Master was now panicking. The lunatic was going to flip the whole table!

Just then, Yang Ye turned to look at Ye Guan in the distance. Ye Guan said something quietly to him, and Yang Ye burst out laughing. "Good, good! I didn't misjudge you; you really are worthy of being my grandson! Hahaha!"

Then, he turned back to the Great Daoist Brush Master and said, "Killing you now... that'd be equivalent to bullying the weak. That's not really fitting for someone of my status."

The Great Daoist Brush Master's lips twitched. Your status, my ass. Who didn't know that you used to be a servant disciple?

Of course, he dareed not voice his thoughts and said something completely different. "Yes, yes! The Qingxuan Sword Master, invincible in all words—"

Boom!

A mysterious force slammed him face first into the ground. He wailed miserably, wishing that he could slap himself on the spot. Damn it, how did I forget that that woman is still here?!

Plain-Skirt Destiny stared coldly at him. "Say that again?"

Yang Ye chimed in casually, "Say it. Great Daoist Brush Master, if you don't say it again, I'll look down on you."

Plain-Skirt Destiny turned to glance at Yang Ye.

Naturally, Yang Ye wasn't afraid at all. He smiled and said, "Destiny, others might be afraid of you, but I'm not one of them."

"Now that you've acknowledged Big Brother, your confidence has really grown," remarked Plain Skirt-Destiny.

Yang Ye's smile vanished in an instant, and a wave of killing intent began to spread throughout the heavens and the earth.

Seeing that the two were about to fight, Ye Guan quickly stepped in and said, "Aunt, Grandfather, enough. Give me some face here, okay?"

The two turned to look at him but remained silent.

Ye Guan hesitated before adding, "Give me and my father some face."

Yang Ye smiled again. "Alright, for you and your father, I'll let it go."

Then, without warning, he turned sharply toward Shang Hongyi, who was in a daze.

Smack!

He slapped her face so hard that her face caved in, rendering everyone speechless.

He looked down at her and coldly spat, "You foul-mouthed woman! You really deserved that slap just now. Now kneel here, and keep kneeling until your lifespan runs out."

After that, he turned his gaze toward the two Civilization Founders standing behind the Great Daoist Brush Master. The moment they saw him look their way, their faces changed drastically, and their heads flew off their shoulders.

They were killed in an instant!

Then, Yang Ye turned to the Great Daoist Brush Master and said, "I'll spare your life today, but if my grandson ever surrenders again, and you still try to kill him, I will kill you and everyone connected to you."

With that, he turned toward the Ruler Divine Throne.

Sui Gujin was sitting there with a calm and emotionless face.

Besides Ye Guan, Yi Nian, and Plain-Skirt Destiny, only Sui Gujin wasn't leaving.

"Hahaha!" Yang Ye suddenly burst out laughing. "Grandson! Grandpa's leaving!"

And with that, he turned into a beam of sword light that vanished into the depths of the starry sky.

Plain-Skirt Destiny glanced at Sui Gujin and said nothing. She turned around and left, taking Ye Guan and Yi Nian with her.

Soon, the three of them were completely out of sight. The kneeling crowd finally dared to slowly rise to their feet, but their faces were still filled with fear.

The Great Daoist Brush Master looked up at the depths of the starry sky, silent for a long time. Finally, he turned toward Shang Hongyi, his face dark and grim. "I told you not to act without my orders, but you wouldn't listen—"

Shang Hongyi was still kneeling, and her face was expressionless.

The Great Daoist Brush Master's eyes narrowed sharply. He turned his gaze toward the Ruler Divine Temple, locking onto Sui Gujin seated on the throne.

"So that's it... No wonder she started biting like a mad dog. She was yours all along. Sui Gujin, you two really put on one hell of a performance."

Shang Hongyi... was Sui Gujin's pawn?

The crowd was stunned.

All eyes turned toward Shang Hongyi, but she remained on her knees, completely devoid of expression.

The Great Daoist Brush Master said, "You don't want to be a chess piece. You want to be a player, is that it? Funny. Do you really think you're strong enough for that?"

Sui Gujin stood up and raised both hands.

Boom!

A deafening rumble echoed across the entire universe.

All eyes turned to see the Old Lands rising slowly into the skies, and at the same time, the Ruler Divine Temple started flying a well. She was taking the Old Lands and all of its people to ascend even further beyond!

Everyone was utterly shocked, as no one had expected her to be so terrifying.

Surprisingly, the Great Daoist Brush Master wasn't shocked. "I know that you are not weaker than Beixin Ci, but do you truly believe that you're qualified to challenge me?"

Still, Sui Gujin didn't respond. She ignored him and continued channeling her power. The Old Lands and the Ruler Divine Temple rose slowly toward the firmament.

"How funny," the Great Daoist Brush Master sneered. "You think your strength alone can break the observable universe's shackles and take the Old Lands to the Main Universe?

"Back then, the Universe Ruler of the Ancestral Civilization was far stronger than you, and he failed in that endeavor. You—"

He stopped mid-sentence because Sui Gujin wasn't acknowledging him at all.

She didn't even spare him a glance.

The Great Daoist Brush Master was enraged. His right hand slowly clenched into a fist. A terrifying aura surged outward from him and spread across the vast expanse. Just that one wave of aura was enough to suppress all the top powerhouses in the vast expanse!

Even the overwhelming pressure from Sui Gujin was suppressed in an instant, rendering everyone horrified.

The Great Daoist Brush Master stared at her and mockingly asked, "You want to be a player? You think you have the strength for that?"

Sui Gujin calmly said, "You want the Ruler Divine Throne for the Breaking Wall Scripture within it, am I right?"

The Great Daoist Brush Master's expression changed drastically. He was instantly stunned. "How do you know about that? Who are you really?!"

His eyes were filled with undisguised shock. The Breaking Wall Scripture was absolutely not something anyone from this low-tier civilization would know.

"The complete Breaking Wall Scripture can shatter the barrier between what is virtual and what is real, allowing one to transcend illusions and become an outsider to all worlds.

"The reason you laid such a massive scheme wasn't to truly break Ye Guan's Dao Heart. Your real goal was to obtain this scripture, but you knew that without Ye Guan, you could never even get close to the Ruler Divine Throne."

The Great Daoist Brush Master calmed down and sneered, "Weren't you using him too? If he hadn't brought you to the Ruler Divine Throne and taken on the karma of the Breaking Wall Scripture for you, could you have sat on that throne?"

Sui Gujin lowered her gaze slightly, but didn't speak.

The Great Daoist Brush Master laughed. "I never expected someone from above to reach their hand down this far. Now I'm really curious about your true identity."

Sui Gujin calmly replied, "Since you're so good at scheming, why don't you try finding that out?"

"Hahaha!" The Great Daoist Brush Master burst out laughing. "Sui Gujin, did you forget one thing? Even though neither of us is in our true bodies, my strength far surpasses yours.

"The Three Thousand Great Dao Tribulations are blocking the path to the Main Universe. Each tribulation carries its own karma. With your current power as a mere avatar, forget enduring all three thousand tribulations, you won't even survive one!"

The Great Daoist Brush Master's eyes narrowed into slits.

After a moment of silence, he slowly extended his palm. A terrifying force gathered from every corner of the heavens and earth, descending like an unstoppable storm. Every cultivator present felt a wave of crushing despair.

They couldn't even summon the will to resist.

Sui Gujin didn't resist. She closed her eyes and placed both hands on her abdomen.

The Great Daoist Brush Master froze, and then he realized something that made his face change drastically. He hastily withdrew his hand and the terrifying aura that had engulfed the heavens and earth receded like a tidal wave, vanishing without a trace.

He stared at Sui Gujin, his face drained of all color. He let out a bitter laugh, fury and disbelief mixing in his voice as he raised both thumbs.

"Wow, what a move. You wanted to be a player so much so that you decided to use your body to become one! How impressive!"

Sui Gujin said nothing and caressed her abdomen. There was a child within it, and they possessed the Yang Family's bloodline. She was a mother! From this moment on, no tribulation would dare to touch her.
