I Don't Want To Be An Omega In My Sister's Trashy Reverse Harem [BL]
Chapter 18: You’re The Lead Now, Deal With It!

Chapter 18: You’re The Lead Now, Deal With It!

Rin stayed seated at his small desk for a long time after Mina left, his mind racing like a train with no brakes. The quiet infirmary offered no comfort. The ceiling looked back at him, blank and indifferent.

"This isn’t happening," he whispered.

But it was happening.

He has been thinking of a way to go back but Mina, his imp of a sister, was now the book’s female lead... except she’d handed over the role to him like it was an unwanted flyer.

Now he was stuck with an omega body, a cursed seal he didn’t understand, and a group of hormone-driven male leads who treated him like a limited edition snack, well, not yet.

Rin groaned, turning his head lazily to where the other nurses gathered, chatting.

"I’m not even cute in real life," he muttered. "Why the hell am I magnetic here?"

"Hey, Rin," a familiar nurse walked closer to him. "Are you alright?" fr eewe(b)nove.l.co\m

He looked at her and adjusted his sitting position, immediately slamming a charming smile onto his face.

"I am. Thanks for helping me,"

"I..." She turned her face away, shyly. "I didn’t help you,"

Rin nodded, agreeing with what she said.

She didn’t want to get caught by the head doctor. She got closer to his desk and placed a paper on it.

"It’s the report the head doctor wants, but I wrote just what I noticed. You can edit it and add yours,"

"Thank you, Brianna," Rin called her name, and her chubby cheeks flushed red as she shyly walked away.

Rin stared at what she wrote and he realised the language was different, yet he understood it clearly.

.

.

The clock ticked louder than necessary. It was past clinic hours. The other nurses had gone, even Elna, who usually lingered around after work hours, making sure the clinic was clean and every student had been attended to.

But Rin? He was still here, tasked with writing a medical report for the scary head doctor.

He stared at what he had written and wasn’t even convinced he had written a report.

"What does a medical report even look like in this world?" he asked aloud.

The ink pen in his hand was like holding a cursed relic. The squiggly letters were foreign, yet he knew every bit of it. He tried to add more things about the female lead he treated.

’Should I just sum everything up? I gave her the green potion and she woke up and ran away. I had no time to inspect... I mean, monitor her? Is that... good?’

Another groan. Rin buried his head in his arms.

"I’m so fucking tired," he closed his eyes and a sound suddenly interrupted his silence. He immediately shot them wide open.

Thump. Moan. Thump. Moan.

"What’s that? Are there people around?" He grumbled.

The obvious sound came from behind the other clinic door. Theron’s office.

At first, Rin tried to ignore it. Maybe it was something... else.

Another moan. Louder this time. A woman.

Rin sat up, frozen.

"No way," he whispered, eyes narrowing.

He stood and crept toward the sound. The door was slightly open, just a crack. He peeked through... and instantly regretted it.

Theron Daril, the cold, professional, strict-as-hell doctor, was pressed up against someone.

Rin’s eyes widened when he saw the woman... Elna???

The composed, efficient, rule-following Elna.

"Oh. My. God," Rin breathed, stepping back.

The woman who smiled innocently at him could have such a lewd expression on his face. The man with a permanent frown on his face could play tongue tag on the office desk.

"No, head doctor... Don’t lick me there... Argh"

There was no response from Theron.

"No... Wait..." She arched her back, raising her legs up as they trembled in the air.

He suddenly pulled out his tongue, forcing a kiss into her mouth.

"You moan so loudly, Elna. Maybe, we should stop,"

"No, please... I’ll hold it back, Theron,"

"Don’t call me by my name," he shot her a hard glare as she nodded.

"Good. You know what to do next..." He said. Elna crawled off the table and went to her knees.

Rin almost laughed, but it got caught in his throat.

"And here I was, thinking side characters had class."

He shook his head. Nope. It wasn’t his business. He turned away quickly, pretending he saw nothing.

"Focus, Rin. You have bigger problems. Like staying alive."

He glanced back at the medical report, now even more pointless.

"Screw it. I’ll give it to him tomorrow. Or the next time I don’t walk in on his sex scene."

He packed up and slipped out quietly, making his way toward the training hall. The night air was cool and calming, and the two moons above reminded him again: this wasn’t Earth.

The moment he stepped into the training hall, the first thing he saw was Lucien Vortellion.

Shirtless. Again.

Rin froze at the door.

The man was doing warm-ups like he belonged in a fantasy-themed sports calendar. Sweat rolled down his abs, hair tied back, muscles flexing with every movement.

Why does he always look like he’s modelling for sinful thoughts?

But Rin wasn’t the only one watching him. There was a girl... tall, athletic, ponytail bouncing as she approached Lucien with a flirtatious grin.

"You look hot as always, Lucien," she said, handing him some water.

"I know," Lucien replied, uninterested. He knew she came here just for him. The rumours about him sleeping with omegas was popular and everyone wish to be on his list, including the slut in front of him.

Well, except she was already on his list and just wished for a second round.

However, Lucien wasn’t focused on her but on someone else. She traced what he was looking at, turned her head and noticed Rin by the door.

"Who is that?" She asked.

"Someone you don’t need to know," he replied.

She looked harder at him and noticed his rare white hair and red eyes.

"Oh! It must be you! The new clinic assistant! You’re even cuter than the rumours said! Can I touch your..."

Before she could finish her sentence, Lucien had already grabbed her wrist.

His smile was polite but sharp. Dangerous.

"That’s enough. Leave."

"What? But I just got here and I wanted to train more with..."

He kissed her.

Just like that and Rin watched both of them.

A long, deep kiss. When he pulled back, the girl was pink-faced and breathless.

"Now go."

She obeyed without question, waving dumbly at Rin on the way out.

Rin awkwardly waved back, then turned just in time to realise... Lucien was already in front of him.

’How is he this fast?!’

DING!

[Warning: Target proximity is too close. Maintain distance.]

’Yeah, I know’

Rin stepped back.

Lucien stepped even closer.

"What do you want now?" Rin muttered. "Let’s just train and head back, I’m tired,"

Lucien leaned down, voice brushing Rin’s ear like velvet.

"Let’s make a deal."

Rin blinked.

"No."

Lucien’s eyes narrowed slightly.

"You didn’t even hear the offer."

"I don’t need to. Every time you open your mouth, it either leads to me getting pinned to a wall or kissed. Or both."

Lucien chuckled.

He took Rin’s hand, slowly then gently kissed the back of it.

Rin yanked it away.

"Stop doing that! This isn’t the Victorian era!"

’Or is it? Of course not’

Lucien just smiled and stepped away. The last thing he would want to do is annoy the person he wanted to help.

They started training again. This time, Lucien didn’t try to pin him down... at first. He was calm and focused. Teaching him the basic moves and asking Rin to block, move, and strike.

But the questions came too.

"Rin." He called his name gently.

"What now?" Rin rolled his eyes as if he was already tired of hearing that name over and over again.

"How do you mask your scent?"

Rin froze.

"I don’t know what you’re talking about." He answered quickly, trying to be calm, but his chest wasn’t calm.

Lucien circled him slowly.

"Don’t lie to me, baby lamb. You’re an omega, but you don’t smell like one. Not unless you’re triggered by an Alpha hormone. That’s not natural."

Rin didn’t answer.

He couldn’t say the truth... that the system was actively suppressing his scent.

Lucien stepped in front of him again.

"Just tell me the truth. That’s all I need from you,"

Rin met his eyes. There was something strange about Lucien’s expression. He wasn’t flirting or teasing him. He looked... desperate.

Rin slowly shook his head.

"I really don’t know, I swear. I use scent blockers and suppressants,"

Lucien didn’t say another word, he just stared. The long, deep and unblinking stare made Rin’s skin crawl.

Not because he was scared. He was sure Lucien wouldn’t do anything to him.

But he felt something shift.

A new danger.

DING!

[Lucien Vortellion - Trust Level: ???]

Rin bit his lip, unsure of what to say.

Lucien stepped even closer. Again. He pressed his thumb on Rin’s lip, pulling out his lower lip, so he won’t bite it too hard.

And Rin’s breath hitched when he inhaled it. Lucien Pheromones.
