I created my own system
Chapter 353 - 353: Beat it till you kill it

"Sky fall"

Something fell from the sky, it was solid and heavy the enemy's time-frozen form tried to move—but it was too late.

Impact.

The void creature screamed silently as Alicia's spell buried it into the frozen earth. The ground ruptured in concentric rings, magic carving the land like a branding iron. Apollo followed it it with a swing of his sword. Flames burst through striking the fallen beast, the impact however cause a cloud of smoke to veil the area.

Apollo landed beside her, breathing hard.

"Did that somehow work?"

"Yes," she said. "It's hurt. Severely."

From beneath the snow and cracked stone, the ground trembled.

The creature's body was reforming—but it was slower now. Damaged.

"Round two?" Alicia smirked.

Apollo raised his sword. "Let's make it the last."

[Creator I am gathering a huge amount of essence however if I were to convert it, it won't be enough to increase any of your stats, what should I do Creator? Will i continue to wait until its enough or use it now]

"Let's use it now, use the esense to boost me"

[Affirmative]

"Gravity five thousand times"

The command was given and so Bunag obeyed, the ground suddenly created force that pulled harder than before. The ground collapse under its weight and the surrounding rocks suddenly compress and turn into a deep crater, one that can be mistaken that is made by a fallen meteor. The extreme downward force cause by the gravity then causes a radial cracks, it keep expanding until Apollo manipulate it into a certain area. After creating such wreckage Alicia then charge up, her body in full devil. In that moment where she step in, it made Apollo think that everything happen faster than a blink of an eye.

Just as he made the command Alicia made a move and mess the enemy so bad. Seein that opening Apollo raise his sword and used the swordsmanship he use while fighting against Dominos.

The stars suddenly light up giving power to Apollo and with a swing its as if the ground is being split into two.

[Creator its no usu it recover itself immediately]

"Tsk, a punch and a sword cut doesn't work, Alicia's curse barely did something while the authorities are somehow disappearing"

Apollo was a bit frustrated since his command on the gravity disappeared.

"What's going on"

"Apollo I think its working"

"What?"

He was suddenly bewildered with Alicia's sudden words.

"Look, despite its abundant like energy somewhere our attacks re tearing down its strength"

"Wait...you are right"

Apollo being way to focus on how to instantly kill the oppenet made him lose sight of how to properly observe the enemy during a fight. Apollo at their disoriented enemy who got still in a loop again by Apollo.

However yet again due to its unknown power it was able to remove its effects.

Apollo and Alicia take turn and trike as fast they could, the other Apollo's on the other hand made sure the beast wont be able to counterattack by shooting bullets. But then unexpectedly the two were hit by anergy blast was immediately blown away. Fortunately the two Apollos were quick to act and catch them.

The void creature twitched, its warped form crawling from the crater it was slammed into. Its horrid face, once a swirling abyss, was now cracked—leaking tendrils of distorted mana like blood.

Alicia was right thier attacks are working tearing the enemy's power bit by bit.

The Apollo who received the damage finally stablize himself and began attacking again. To his surprised Alicia already there and having a lock on battle with the enemy.

Apollo lifted Nebula but this time he charge it with lightning and with the power of the stars, Apollo use his sword to guide them. A fiery and electrifying sword dance made its way to Alicia's side. For a moment she fall back to see the full extend of the attack but then she notice something.

"Apollo!"

It happened very fast Alicia was like teleporting when she went and protected the three Apollo's with her. And then something came to them. Being caught off guard Jeremiah intervene and created a barrier to protect Apollo and Alicia. Unfortunately despite the power of the defensive dome it was still breach by the beast's attacks. Alicia tried to block it but Apollo hold her back and instead use himself to protect her.

The ground shook again and even the storm above had begun to falter as if the heavens themselves recoiled from the presence of such a thing.

Apollo's body was bleeding, his armor scorched and smoking. Alicia stood beside him, her hands trembling slightly as gray flames healed her wounds.

"Thanks for worrying?" Apollo said, his voice hoarse.

"I don't want to hear that from someone who use himself as shield," Alicia replied, wiping blood from the corner of her mouth.

The three Apollos just laugh before summoning thier respective weapons, they are already prepared, his eyes glowing with layered spells.

"This thing's structure is starting to destabilize. It's regenerating slower. This is the last push."

"See what I told you was right."

"Yeah should have seen it sooner"

So once again Apollo gave a command. "Gravity five thousand time"

It felt like the weight of the heavens came down. The air screamed as the pressure bent the snow and earth into a crater beneath them.

Then Alicia whispered another spell, one that only she could use, more softly—an echo of past no one knows.

From the sky, a construct formed—blinding, silver-white light condensed into a spear so dense the very air cracked around it. The two Apollos took a shoot greatly weakening the enemy. The set up is ready now all that is left is to stike before the beast could even land another attack,

"Let's end it."

Nebula came to Apollo's hand as he form his stance, with a power of his sword he made a stab that reach the enemy's core. Jeremiah was able to locate it, serving as the only weakness to kill the beast in one shot. The unknown magical beast collapse with its main source of life broken.

It didn't roar.

It didn't move.

It simply stopped existing.

The land went quiet.

The winds hushed.

For a moment, only the sound of snowflakes returned.

The void entity—whatever it had been—was gone.

And then as the mysterious beast disappears, golden flare in the sky signaled the retreat of the final wave. The surviving magical beasts with so many dead bodies covering the ground. It seems the scent of blood pulled thier instincts to retreat. The horizon lit with the first pale rays of dawn, golden and quiet, touching the battlefield like a blessing.

Alya's voice rang through their comms.

{…Apollo… Alicia… it's over. The first surge is over. You did it.}

Apollo dropped to one knee, finally letting the gravity pull him to the earth. "Jeremiah, how many casualties?"

[Minimal, thanks to your intervention. Mechanical units are undergoing repair. The mines are secure.]

From the mountains to the west, the silhouettes of new figures emerged.

Mages in long crimson coats, glowing staff sigils trailing behind them. Reinforcements. Teams from the Red Sun Tower and Black tower began to arrive, their mana stabilizing the shattered terrain.

One of the lead mages raised her voice through a spell amplifier.

"You've done enough. Stand down. We'll take over from here."

The order echoed across the field.

Blair and the others who came back to thier post upon hearing Alicia's invovement in the battle collapsed into the room, laughing through exhaustion.

"Oh thank heavens… I thought we'd never stop fighting."

Samael leaned against his staff, flames still burning around his feet, now dimmed.

"Five hours of straight combat… No wonder my arms feel like rocks."

Alicia turned to Apollo, who was staring quietly at the rising sun.

She nudged him with her elbow. "You're not going to say something poetic like, 'We survived the night', are you?"

He smiled faintly, eyes still glowing.

"I was thinking more like, 'This is just one night out of five.'"

She rolled her eyes but chuckled. "Come, lets go I am hungry."

Later, Inside the Fortress

The team finally returned to the barracks—limping, dragging, but alive.

Steam baths. Healing wards. Rations. A rare hour of warmth and silence.

Alya insisted everyone to sleep, and even Apollo didn't argue. He allowed himself to collapse on his bunk, closing his eyes as Jeremiah dimmed all external notifications.

[Good work, Creator. Rest is authorized.]

Nightfall. The Second Watch Begins.

The second moon rose.

Alarms pulsed softly as the mana density around the mine began to rise again. The Blood Season wasn't over. Not yet.

Apollo opened his eyes.

Across the barracks, his classmates stirred—one by one, rising without complaint.

Fresh armor.

Fresh spells.

Tired eyes.

But unbroken hearts.

Alicia met his gaze. "Round two?"

Apollo stood, spear forming in his hand.

"Let's go."

And once more, they marched toward the battlefield—ready to meet the next storm.
