Chapter 200: 146 is the holy beetle, run quickly (4800)_1 Chapter 200: 146 is the holy beetle, run quickly (4800)_1 The fog was heavy, making it impossible to see the path ahead. Casio continued to follow the shadow, rushing towards the depths of the dense forest.
“Where exactly is it taking me?”
Casio squinted his eyes and a light white misty current swirled around his nose.
Five minutes later.
Thud! A black boot stepped on the open ground.
Three adult men dressed in ordinary clothes turned their heads abruptly, looking towards the incoming person from afar. The strongest one among them scanned the newcomer with his eyes, “A hunter? No, just an ordinary human.”
Thud, thud, thud…
The newcomer charged straightforwardly without showing any sign of stopping.
“Get lost! Don’t block the way!”
At these words, all three members of the Blood Clan laughed out of anger. The muscular leader’s face darkened: “You dare to talk to me with such tone, insignificant human. I wasn’t planning for an extra meal today, but…”
Roar!
A high-pitched roar came out from the man’s mouth. His body instantly grew larger and mutated, his facial features became beast-like. His clothes were torn apart, revealing his robust black and red body, and thick hair.
The man with the bat face smirked. The sight he enjoyed the most was seeing the fear and dread of humans encountering the true face of the Blood Clan.
“Die!”
With a whistling sound, the man lunged insanely.
Bang! The next moment, a shadow was hurled back at a high speed.
Blood drew a graceful arc in the air.
“What!” Seeing this, the other two members of the Blood Clan, surprised, transformed into half-human half-bat monsters with their Blood Gift, their claws almost as big as a human’s head.
Whoosh! A giant shadow brushed past the two of them in the blink of an eye.
Casio didn’t look back. The white mist wrapping his hands quickly dispersed. Without uttering a word, he rushed deeper into the fog.
Two heads, spewing blood, shot up into the sky behind him.
Amid the dense white fog, Casio concentrated his attention fully. He could feel that the guide shadow in front was accelerating, not caring whether Casio could keep up or not. If he wanted to follow it till the end, he had to maintain his speed.
Any member of the Blood Clan or human who stood in his way had to step aside.
And if they didn’t want to move, then they were walking the path towards death.
After another ten minutes passed, within the seemingly endless dense fog, Casio’s hands were dripping blood, his steps were elevated. Every powerful stomp would leave a deep pit in the ground.
By doing so, his speed surged.
Throughout the way, the surrounding environment barely changed.
The only difference was that the Blood Clan around him grew in number. These secluded vampires were unaware of the concept of giving way, in their eyes, Casio was just a blood pouch sprinting towards them. Mostly, their first instinct was to intercept him.
And the consequence of blocking his way was self-evident.
Casio had now assassinated almost twenty members of the Blood Clan.
“Slosh…slosh…”
A faint echo of splashing water was heard from a distance.
A moment later, Casio stopped next to a grassland. Although the surrounding fog was hazy, he could still see the outline of the waterfall cascading down in front. Below the waterfall was an oval-shaped pond, and a small stream flowed down from the mouth of the pond.
The fringe was a green lawn with some gray and white stones covered in moss. On the edge, there was nothing but trees.
“The shadow stopped…” Casio looked up.
The shadow that had led him here had slowed down. Like someone merely walking, it strolled back and forth in the fog, as if searching for something. A few seconds later, the shadow moved in a certain direction and finally stopped next to a large tree.
Before Casio could catch up, the shadow suddenly vanished.
The next moment, Casio was standing next to the large tree, slowly leaning over. This old tree was tall and huge, seemingly having grown here for a long time. The bark was wrinkled like the face of an old man.
Powerful roots on the ground were tangled, like large gray pythons, winding through the mud.
Casio squatted on a large root, reached out his hand and moved away the leaves and dirt from the tree-root crevices. After a short while, some gray stones inside were visible. He brushed off the soil on the surface and took a closer look, only to find that these were not ordinary stones, but seemed to be parts of a wall or tiles.
He reached out again to dig a little more.
More stones appeared before Casio, bearing a large number of traces of wind and rain erosion. However, some signs of civilization remained, carrying traces of engraving and painting.
He held the tile in his hand and pondered for a while.
Suddenly his hands were enveloped by white mist, and he started digging vigorously between the roots. A large amount of soil accumulated beside him. After a short while, Casio felt a hollow space beneath the compact soil.
He reached out his hands and dug forcefully.
A pit appeared before his eyes, a pitch-dark hole that leads to the unknown. Casio noticed that there was a layer of rock wall near the entrance of the hole, showing clear signs of human construction.
“Is it a tomb? Or a relic?!”
Casio frowned deeply, thinking about the guiding shadow just now, he hesitated whether to go inside and have a look.
He approached the hole. The air seemed fine inside.
Taking a deep breath, Casio stepped directly into the hole. As soon as he entered the cave wall, he found himself sliding downwards.
It was a gray-white slope at about sixty degrees.
It was extremely dark inside, almost impossible to see anything.
Sizzle! Sizzle! Sizzle!
From all around, a sound of mechanical hissing echoed. Casio felt something hitting his body. He immediately closed his eyes and shielded his neck and face with his arms.
