Chapter 181: 137 Akaba Ruins (4100)_2 Chapter 181: 137 Akaba Ruins (4100)_2 “Hiss…”

He sucked in a deep breath, his chest rising and falling violently. A massive force seemed to rush into the muscles and bones of his limbs as if it were a gust of wind.

He spread his arms, his entire body’s muscles swelling with intensity. His tall, robust upper body mirrored a classical statue of strength and beauty, his gray skin carrying the texture of rock.

“Go!”

A powerful and brutal aura suddenly erupted.

A shiver ran through Iri Black Blade’s heart, and he hurriedly kept up.

Five minutes later.

Smack!

A gray footprint was left on the ground, and a dark shadow rushed forward like a shell. He threw a punch, blowing up the monster that pounced from the air. Instantly turning around, he swept a sharp roundhouse kick, sending the monster covered in tentacles flying into a building.

His massive iron fists repeatedly struck out, their insane speed causing rain droplets in their path to burst, creating a mist. It looked as if Casio’s fists were shrouded in fog, forming a semi-circular shield of momentum.

In the rain-soaked alley, swarms of monsters constantly pounced from both sides, their numbers increasing. Casio unleashed his limit of strength and clashed with them fiercely. Fists, feet, elbows, knees. Using everything at his disposal, he fought with unfathomable power under his inhuman physique!

One by one, silhouettes were sent flying.

Casio was like an indestructible spearhead, deeply embedded in the heap of monsters, forging a path with his powerful fists.

Iri and Black Blade followed closely behind, their skinny figures gritting their teeth, keeping up with trembling determination. Perhaps because all of the monsters’ attention was focused on Casio, the duo experienced no significant resistance.

“Get out of the way!!!”

Casio sent the obstructing monster flying with a punch.

As expected, Black Rain Villa had unending ill-will towards him. Misleading him into an unknown area was not enough—they even lured an increasing number of strange monsters to ambush him.

Unfortunately, these minor obstacles were far from enough.

Another three minutes passed.

By the edge of a wall, a mysterious woman in a white dress was mumbling a nursery rhyme, her long black hair hanging low.

“Son, son, my son is…”

Boom!

“Stop singing, I will send you to reunite with your son.”

A woman’s dead body was thrown into the air, soaring like a kite across the sky, embedding itself with a smack into the spire of a building.

Casio cracked his neck with a crunch and patted the dense white marks on his body, producing a sound akin to rock collision.

He swept a glance around. He was indeed in a dead-end, facing a large wall obstructing his path, with houses on both sides.

Casio felt this was another trick of the Black Rain Villa. They wanted to suggest that he was on the wrong path and entice him to retreat, exhaust his energy, and fight until he died. Unfortunately, he trusted his judgment more.

All along, the number and power of the monsters had been escalating, with the road becoming increasingly perilous. And now, in the most dangerous moment, a wall had appeared in front, leaving no doubt.

Behind the wall would be the regular area Casio was seeking.

“We’re here…”

He turned his head to the slightly wounded Black Blade duo and said, “Same as before, keep right behind me. It might not be safe on the other side!”

Black Blade and Iri nodded their heads like pestles.

“Huff…”

With coarse breathing sounds like a bull, his right arm muscles suddenly swelled, whizzing into a large shadow that vanished.

The wall was punched straight through, and Casio charged in.

The two Black Blades quickly followed suit.

“Finally… back to the normal area…”

Casio lowered his arms that had been blocking debris from hitting his face and opened his eyes with a smile, looking ahead.

“Huh?” The smile on his lips froze.

Looking up, he saw sparse woods in front of him with a disordered grassland by its side. A winding path ran through the middle of the grassland; one end leading to a carriage station and the other to the entrance of the villa.

On the left side path, Leon’s slender figure, holding an umbrella, froze, his delicate and fair face turned white as a sheet.

“Hmm?” “Hmm?”

Behind them, two similar sounds of surprise echoed.

Mr. Black Blade was confused. Wasn’t the area supposed to be the normal part of the Black Rain Villa beyond the wall? How did they manage to break out of the villa?

Casio also frowned. This was different from what he had expected. The level of danger in the area they were advancing into was gradually increasing, and it was obvious that Black Rain Villa was hindering their progress to the normal area.

Unless…

Black Rain Villa had no intention of hindering them at all. It had merely led Casio and others into a dangerous unknown area. The rest was just Casio’s overzealous imagination, assuming that the more dangerous the place, the more likely it was the correct way, leading them to forcefully break through the unknown area and out of the bounds of Black Rain Villa.

Impossible, absolutely impossible!

Casio decisively dismissed this possibility in his mind. He trusted his intuition. Most likely, everything was a plot of the Black Rain Villa, except that they were powerless to put it into action under the absolute strength.

“Gulu Gulu Gulu…”

A sound came from behind them, and the three turned to look.

They saw a fog seeping out of the grey and broken wall. The airflow quietly repaired the edges of the uneven holes. This seemed like some strange and magical mechanism of the Black Rain Villa.

Curious, Casio walked forward a few steps to take a closer look.

Unexpectedly, the wall shook violently, as if frightened by Casio’s approach. Masses of fog spewed out crazily, instantly covering the hole until it was sealed to perfection.

“Boring.”

Casio patted the cold wall with his hand and shook his head.

“Mr. Black Blade, and Mr…. Mr. Twilight. How did you get here?” Leon, who had gotten a scare, walked over from a dozen meters away. He had been really terrified earlier. Upon returning to Black Rain Villa by carriage and reaching the intersection, a sudden explosion broke the wall beside them.

A sturdy, muscle-bound man dashed out.

He made people fear whether this muscle man would, like a Rhino, charge them down in the next second, smashing them into meat pies with a few punches or simply crushing them to a pulp in his arms.

Behind him, Mr. Black Blade heaved a sigh of relief and walked over, making casual excuses to Leon. He mentioned that the three of them had gotten lost in Black Rain Villa and had reached a dead end. Left with no choice, they had to resort to Twilight’s strength to break through the wall.

“Mr. Twilight, your cloak.”

Iri, who had just had a narrow escape, walked up to Casio after being stunned for a while. He handed over the unscathed cloak.

“Thanks.”

Casio took it and put it on again at once.

“We need to thank you, not the other way around…”

Iri wiped his forehead. He did not know whether it was rain or sweat on it. But he was indeed wet.

Casio didn’t respond. In reality, Iri and Black Blade had been affected by his actions. Black Rain Villa’s target had been him, so he did not feel worthy of accepting Iri’s gratitude.

“Let’s go, we’ll head back to the Crossbow base first.”

Soon, the four of them returned to the villa. On their way back to the base, Iri and Black Blade were on edge, fearing that something would pop out of their surroundings at any moment. Leon found this strange while Casio remained calm.

Minutes later, they arrived at the Crossbow base.

Casio planned to go back to the Baptism Church again, while Black Blade and the others waved their hands, indicating that they would need a couple of days before they dared to go out again. In the end, he left the base alone again.

Walking on the familiar grey road with his umbrella.

Casio felt a gaze coming from his upper left and looked up sharply. A girl in a lace dress who had been quietly peeking out the window froze in fear, tears streaming from the black holes of her eyes. In the next second, as the girl was about to scream, a hand quickly covered her mouth. An old woman lifted the girl onto her shoulders, and, spanking her, ran away as fast as she could.

As if Casio was some terribly frightening monster.

In the following moments of his walk, he encountered no more weird incidents and smoothly arrived at the Baptism Church.

Beside the gorgeous caisson, in the empty hall. The prayer table stood in front of a series of black chairs, with two gracefully curving metal candlesticks beside it. Casio’s tall figure stood in front of the table.

On an old, yellowed page of scripture on the table.

He saw the atonement task he needed to complete.

“To search for the Akaba Ruins…”
