I Can Program My Body? -
Chapter 129: Soul Training Module System
Chapter 129: Soul Training Module System
A week later, in the Real World, Eastdam State.
After countless days of working and analyzing runes, Nash finally mastered the 618 blue runic programs needed to create the [Soul Training Module System].
Looking at his brand-new runic panel, Nash felt deeply satisfied.
[Nash Navre
Body Saturation: 360%
Soul Saturation: 5%
Red Runic Program: 1,562/2,322
Blue Runic Program: 618/10,818
Runic Module System:
Sensing, Control, Body Training, Soul Training, Autonomous, Overloading, Overclocking, Memory, Combat, Recovery]
Unable to merge the two training module systems, Nash had to split them into Body Training and Soul Training modules.
A Runic System is different from a Runic Program.
While the Runic System was like an app, the Runic Program was its building block, and the various functions were used within the app.
Since the two runic systems came from different runic programs, they couldn’t be merged.
Eager to test the efficiency of the [Soul Training Module System], Nash tapped to open it.
[Soul Training Module System:
Basic Soul Absorption Method - Efficiency: 1 elemental crystal/min]
"Start!"
Holding an elemental crystal, he activated the new runic system.
Like a straw, his body soon began to actively draw energy from the elemental crystal.
What once took hours was now shortened to a mere minute.
Even better, as he stood up and moved his body, the [Soul Training Module System] remained uninterrupted.
Pulling out hundreds of attributeless elemental crystals from his storage ring, Nash felt a rush of energy in his soul.
Hours passed, and just as he expected his soul to enter a fatigue stage, nothing happened.
It seemed his soul was immune to harm, as it continued to absorb elemental crystals.
---
After eight hours, having finished his daily exercises, his soul still showed no signs of fatigue.
[Soul Saturation: 13.4%]
"Awesome!"
In just a few hours, his soul saturation rate had jumped from 5% to over 13%!
The efficiency of the runic module system was truly unmatched.
However, his rapid progress was mainly due to his seemingly invulnerable soul.
He read in the soul manual that a soul could usually only endure six hours of intense training.
But even after eight hours, Nash felt no strain.
In fact, he felt energized, like he had a good night’s sleep.
The only problem was the cost of increasing his soul saturation.
After eight hours of soul training, he had spent 480 elemental crystals!
One had to know that a single elemental crystal held ten times more energy than a void crystal.
That meant he just burned through the equivalent of nearly 5,000 void crystals for just a bit of progress.
"It seems my soul is cursed too!"
Like his body, which needed ten times the normal energy, his soul was the same.
It wasn’t a lack of talent or anything like that, but simply that 90% of the energy he absorbed seemed to vanish.
His other issue was the dwindling supply of elemental crystals.
Camilla had only sent him 1,000 attributeless elemental crystals; now, only 470 remained.
"I can only buy elemental crystals in the Dark Plane..."
Still unable to buy items in the virtual world for delivery to Earth, Nash had to rely on the Dark Plane to get what he needed.
Fortunately, elemental crystals were a natural resource, not a technological wonder, so he should be able to buy them at a fair price in the Dark Plane.
"Time to head to Dark Willow Shelter..."
After tidying his appearance, Nash slipped into the Virtual Pod.
But before doing so, a sudden idea struck him.
Continuing to activate the [Soul Training Module System], he scattered all his elemental crystals around.
Although his soul would materialize in the Dark Plane, leaving his body behind, a faint connection would still remain.
This is how he could use merits to boost his void saturation while his body stayed in the physical world.
Convinced it was worth a try, Nash looked forward to the results by the end of the day.
---
Meeting up with his teammates, they checked their equipment as usual and headed toward the Willow Primeval Forest.
With the [Autonomous System] controlling his body, Nash focused on deducing the next part of the God Body Astral Art.
Creating the [Soul Training Module System] had left him no time to complete the deduction of the God Body Astral Art.
So far, he has only deduced up to 520% saturation of the manual.
Fortunately, his strength was already overflowing.
Unless he ventured into a yellow-level danger zone, he didn’t need more power.
---
Soon, while deducing the following parts of the God Body Astral Art, the [Autonomous Module System] skillfully guided his body through dozens of hours of hunting.
Returning to the Dark Willow Shelter, Nash collected yesterday’s payment while leaving some teammates to oversee the evaluators sorting and calculating their day’s harvest.
"I’ll head out first. I’ve got something to do."
"See you tomorrow, boss!"
"Yeah, same time tomorrow."
Leaving his team, Nash didn’t return to reality as usual but headed to the teleportation station to travel to Iron Fall Shelter.
---
Iron Fall Shelter, Star Tower.
"Welcome to the Star Tower, Sir Noir. How can I help you?" The receptionist greeted him with familiarity.
As a VIP and frequent visitor to the Star Tower, most of the receptionists already knew Nash.
"I’m here to buy attributeless elemental crystals. Do you sell them here?"
"Of course, we sell elemental crystals at the Star Tower," the receptionist nodded.
Although widely available in the virtual world and on some prosperous planets, the convenience of the Dark Plane was unmatched.
No matter where one was in the universe, they could extract any item they owned in the Dark Plane to the real world.
Though there was an expensive materialization fee to bring items into reality, to the wealthy, it didn’t matter.
Moreover, the materialization fee was based on an item’s void capacity, not its value.
For an attributeless elemental crystal, it only costs 10 merit points to materialize.
"How much is the attributeless elemental crystal you have here?"
"It’s 25 merits for one."
