Gu Cultivation was very similar to the Demon Race because Gu were ranked and the rank of the Gu determined the rank of the Gu Master. Also, different Gu have different requirements in order to tame, raise and use them. All types of Gu exist in the world, from typical Strength Type Gu to Space-Time Type Gu, you just have to find and tame them.

The Gu Dao is also a lax and free path, able to dabble on one or multiple at the same time, only costing you resources to help them grow and evolve but it also had to be remembered that just because you can use any Gu Insect, doesn’t mean that you’re compatible with it.

Compatibility is also a key factor when cultivating Gu. With a weak and frail body, the Strength Gu can’t be fully utilised, with extreme bad luck, the Luck Gu can’t be utilised, with Blood Deficiency, the Blood Gu can’t be utilised so yes, Gu have to be carefully chosen and be useful to one’s path to the top.

Gong Jun had undergone a drastic transformation right in front of Grey and the others. His eyes were now grey, his hair was white and his skin was very pale with the scent of a rotting corpse. His body though released extreme heat that Gong Jun enveloped around his body.

"I never expected such a powerful Flame Technique to exist in the current era, even I couldn’t bear to part with it but it was well worth sparing it some time." said Gong Jun softly and stood up, his aura now deep and unfathomable, even Grey was now wary of Gong Jun.

"An old Soul from a forgotten era, you lot just don’t want to accept death, always finding ways of escaping death and coming back to life. Just accept your deaths and leave us in peace." said Grey.

"So you’ve come across others like me, but boy, you better count your words when talking to me or you might not know how you even died." said Gong Jun while looking at Grey with his terrifying eyes.

"Hmph!" Grey snorted and walked away.

"Boys, the two of you seem to be fated with me. Do you want to acknowledge me as your master?" asked Gong as he turned his attention towards Qin De and Hong. He clearly wasn’t willing to take no for an answer.

"Disciple Qin De greets Master!"

"Disciple Hong greets Master!"

The two quickly kowtowed three times at Gong Jun’s feet, making him very delighted that he laughed out loud.

"Hahaha! Good, good, good. I temporarily don’t have gifts to give you so how about these little flowers. Each of you choose one to have fun with, I’ll help you subdue them." said Gong Jun while gazing evilly at the Yu Fen and the girls, sending shivers down their spines.

"Yi Ying, come here. I’ve always wanted to subdue an arrogant and proud woman like you, hehe." said Hong while pouncing at the beauty he’d chosen, he was also smiling lewdly with lust filled eyes.

"Yu Fen, I don’t want to force you to be with me so come willingly. Even though you don’t love me, I believe if we spend enough time together, feelings will be cultivated and carefully grown." said Qin De.

"You wish, I’d die than to spend even a second with you!" said Yu Fen coldly before walking away, following closely behind Grey.

[Old Ghost, since she doesn’t want to stay with your ugly disciple, why force her?!] said Grey coldly. He’d just blocked Gong Jun’s claw strike with a sword sheath.

[Mind your business!] roared Gong Jun and kicked Grey, Grey blocked the strike with another sword sheath but wss still pushed back a few meters.

Grey dashed forward, closing the distance between him and Gong Jun in a single step and his white sword was already unsheathed and aimed at Gong Jun’s neck. With his senses warning him about the danger of the sword, Gong Jun took Grey seriously.

Gong Jun’s whole body was enveloped in orange flames which quickly turned green and enveloped his body as well burst outwards towards Grey. Grey also felt the threat of the flames and retreated. Now, there two men were at a stalemate.

[How about deciding it in a single strike?]

The girls and boys who were watching the exchange quickly retreated a fair distance away from Grey and Gong Jun.

Zixin grabbed Torta’s skeleton hand and Torta’s Soul Flames shrank to the size of candle flames and almost extinguished right then and there.
