Chapter 51 Hypnotize
Chapter 51: Chapter 51 Hypnotize
"I am a wolf pup," Luna continued. She tapped her little chest with her tiny thumb. "I have best nose. Super smell! Better than all of you." She shot a tiny glare at Drake, who made a face right back.
"I can hear everything," Luna added, her fluffy ears giving a little wiggle. "Far, far away. So if someone says mean things about me..." She narrowed her eyes at Boo, who squeaked and hid behind his desk. "...I will know."
Alina pressed her lips together, trying so hard not to giggle. Luna’s pouty seriousness was just too much sometimes.
"And..." Luna sniffed dramatically, her little nose scrunching up. She took three quick sniffs in Alina’s direction, then pointed with her tiny finger. "Teacher had Choklate cookies today."
Alina gasped, eyes wide. "How did you—?" Although she had told them she brought cookies, she hadn’t specified which kind.
"Smell. Good smell." Luna lifted her chin higher, nose twitching proudly.
"And if anyone tries to be mean," she finished with a tiny huff, "I will bite their tail."
Boo squeaked again, sliding lower in his chair. Drake snorted so hard he nearly fell sideways.
Alina couldn’t help it, she reached out and gave Luna’s head a gentle pat, fingers sinking into her soft gray hair. "So strong. So protective. You’re amazing, Luna."
Luna’s ears twitched, her cheeks turning pink. She quickly stepped back to her seat, muttering, "Don’t touch me too much..." but her face only grew redder.
As she plopped down again, Vlad Jr. clicked his tongue.
Alina just beamed. Goodness... who’s next? she thought, her heart full to bursting.
As Luna strutted back to her chair, Alina’s eyes drifted to the one baby who sat perfectly still, posture straight, hands folded on his desk like a miniature royal.
Vlad Jr.
He caught her eye immediately, he always did. That tiny, proud face, those deep crimson eyes, the way he tilted his chin up just a little to remind everyone he was a noble prince.
"Vlad Jr.," Alina called softly, warmth in her voice. "Would you like to share next, sweetheart?"
Vlad Jr. let out the faintest sigh, as if this whole introduction thing was far beneath him yet at the same time, he pushed back his chair so gracefully it barely made a sound. He rose to his feet with that same little grown-up air he always carried.
Drake leaned toward Boo, whispering, "Look, the prince is gonna brag."
Boo stifled a giggle, peeking out from behind his desk.
Vlad Jr. ignored them completely. He walked to the open space in front of Alina, his tiny shoes tapping lightly on the clean floor. He paused, turned just so as if making sure everyone could see his best angle and clasped his small hands behind his back.
"My name is Vladislav Alaric von Nightthorn the Third," he declared, his tiny voice so serious and precise that even Felix’s eyes flashed with amusement. "But you may call me Vlad Jr. because it is easier for your tiny brains."
Alina pressed her lips together to hold back a giggle. Rocky’s eyes went huge, Kelpie’s mouth dropped open, and even Luna snorted softly through her nose.
Vlad Jr. straightened his tie, his tiny fingers adjusting it like a miniature lord. "I am a vampire," he continued proudly, lifting his chin so high it almost wobbled. "I can fly. I have wings." He shot a tiny glance at Drake, as if daring him to interrupt. "When I am a bat."
He paused, then lowered his head a little — his voice dropping into a dramatic hush. "And... I can hypnotize. A little."
"Oooh," Boo gasped, floating a bit higher, wide-eyed.
"Show! Show!" Drake said, practically bouncing out of his chair.
Vlad Jr. clicked his tongue in disapproval. "It is weak. I am still young." He paused, then fixed his red eyes right on Alina. "May I demonstrate on Teacher?"
Alina’s eyes widened, and she almost laughed. But she held her hand to her chest with mock seriousness. "Only if Teacher stays safe. Gentle, please."
Vlad Jr. nodded solemnly, stepping closer to her. He lifted his tiny hand, two fingers pointing at her eyes, his own eyes growing round and deep crimson like tiny rubies.
"Teacher... you are sleepy..." he whispered, his voice so soft it made even Felix snort under his breath.
Alina fought back a grin, playing along. "So sleepy," she said dramatically, her eyes half-closing. The other babies giggled behind their hands.
"You want... to give Vlad Jr. all your cookies..." he added with a tiny, smug smirk.
At that, Alina burst out laughing. She knelt down and gently tapped his nose. "Nice try, sweetheart. Your powers are strong but maybe not quite enough for cookies yet!"
Vlad Jr. huffed, crossing his arms, but his cheeks turned pink under the praise. He gave her the smallest, proudest nod, then turned on his tiny heel and strode back to his seat like a true noble, ignoring Drake and Boo’s giggles entirely.
Alina watched him sit down, her heart swelling. Goodness, even their tiny egos are precious.
She clapped her hands once, her eyes shining. "Who’s next, my darlings?"
As Vlad Jr. settled back in his chair with a tiny regal huff, Boo peeked out from behind his desk, eyes wide and mischievous.
Now, with everyone looking around to see who’d go next, he puffed out his ghostly cheeks and shot up a hand.
"Teacher! Me!" he squeaked, his voice almost echoing like a soft spooky bell. He didn’t even wait for Alina to nod — he just drifted forward, floating an inch above the floor like a lazy little cloud.
Alina smiled warmly, tilting her head as he stopped right in front of her, his feet never quite touching the ground. "Alright, Boo. Show everyone what makes you special, sweetheart."
Boo gave her the biggest grin , his baby fangs barely visible, his wispy hair bouncing like cotton candy. He turned dramatically to the other babies, throwing his arms wide like a ghost on stage.
"My name is Boo—" he declared, in his squeaky baby voice that made Drake snort behind his hand, "—and I am a ghost! The spookiest ghost in the whole kindergarten! Maybe even the whole world!"
