It was like a silent phantom traversing the darkness on the battlefield, silently reaping the lives of their comrades!

"Typically, speed-type ones don’t have large bodies and can hide unnoticed in a zombie surge. So, you should all know what we’re dealing with, right? I figured this was the case, which is why I was in such a hurry to escape."

"Dorm leader, should we also..."

The other troops showed signs of fear, their eyes looking expectantly towards their dorm leader.

The dorm leader placed a finger over his lips, requesting silence with his gaze. Understanding his meaning, two of the other soldiers immediately approached the door, peeking outside before nodding at the dorm leader.

"No one there."

The dorm leader let out a sigh of relief, stating, "Everyone, have a seat."

"Alright."

As the soldiers sat down, the dorm leader began to speak, "If that’s the case, we won’t gain anything when the zombie surge attacks. We have no concept of the horror of a Level 6 zombie. But it’s better to believe it’s real than to deny its existence. I have no intention of dying here. What about you all?"

The others exchanged glances and then seeing the murderous look in their dorm leader’s eyes, all nodded in agreement.

"Planning to run?"

At this point, the dorm leader allowed his vicious side to show. His eyes seethed with killing intent, turning him into a wild beast ready to attack anyone it deemed a threat!

The dorm leader gave them an icy stare before finally nodding and saying, "Alright. You can go back now. We will prepare today and plan our next move tomorrow. We have some time before the zombie surge gets here. Your anxiousness, however, might raise suspicions."

His words were directed at Zhang Lei. Upon hearing this, Zhang Lei came to an understanding. He took a look at his younger brother and said, "Zhang Hua, take care of yourself."

"I know, brother. Don’t worry."

Having heard his brother’s assurance, Zhang Lei felt relieved for the time being. However, a look of worry remained in his eyes. There was nothing more to be said here, so he could only open the door and leave.

After his departure, a soldier in the dormitory anxiously asked Ma Yuankang, "Dorm leader, if we’re not leaving now, when will we? If we wait too long, the outside zombie surge will get closer and it’ll be harder to leave."

Before the dorm leader could reply, a voice from a loudspeaker outside could be heard, "Everyone, go to sleep early tonight. Give me some energy. Zombies have already started to enter the quarantine area near the defensive wall."

The stranger’s attitude was very provocative, seeming to have no fear of anything. Upon seeing him, the expression on Dormitory Leader Ma Yuankang’s face grew stormy.
