Chapter 704: Chapter 700: Zombie Out of Cage_1

Upon seeing Ah Fu’s appearance, the three of them stopped dead in their tracks, stupefied, yet instinctively pressing the firing button of their laser weapons, initiating an attack.

They hadn’t anticipated that a zombie would be following them, to them it was simply impossible for such a thing to happen within the Human Base! Moreover, since the apocalypse, they had never encountered a zombie that would secretly stalk humans.

They wondered if they were hallucinating, but everything felt too real to be a hallucination!

However, wasn’t this too surprising, or rather, frightening? The thought of a zombie being behind them sent shivers down their spine, evoking a sense of absurdity.

"Wait, a zombie... has been following us?"

"F*ck! This must be some kind of joke!"

"Did I eat some leftover mushrooms this morning and start hallucinating?"

Everything seemed unreal, yet incredibly real. They were not imagining things; the zombie stood before them!

Even if they couldn’t believe that a zombie would show up inside the Human Base, the stench emitting from Ah Fu couldn’t fool their senses!

"Don’t get distracted! Kill it first!"

One of them managed to regain composure, woke the others, aimed their guns at Ah Fu’s head, and launched an even more fierce assault!

Unfortunately, Ah Fu, the absolute power type zombie, didn’t come unprepared. This kind of zombie possesses extremely high defense and strength, and astonishing resilience. After being briefly suppressed by the three, Ah Fu’s brutality completely exploded. He leaped and landed behind the three men!

"Behind you!"

The three men quickly turned around. They may have been fast, but so was Ah Fu. As soon as they turned around, their faces paled, and they simultaneously rolled in different directions. However, one of them let out a shrill scream.

Ah!

Looking back, one of their peers was hoisted up by Ah Fu, who then ruthlessly smashed him into the courtyard wall.

Bang!

A dull bang echoed, blowing a hole in the courtyard wall. Bricks flew everywhere along with a faint hint of blood mist.

As the dust settled, the expressions on the faces of the remaining two changed dramatically. The scene was appalling. The Bright Moon City soldier, who had the strength of a Level 4 New Human, was barely recognizable. His lower body was a bloody pulp, crushed as if by a hydraulic press, with his remains indistinguishable from the scattered brick pieces. It was brutal!

His agony demonstrated just how powerful Ah Fu was. One encounter was all it took for him to be so brutally killed with nothing left of him intact.

However, this is not the worst part. The two remaining Bright Moon City soldiers clearly saw that the laser weapon impacts on Ah Fu’s body did not have the expected effect.

The penetrating, high-powered laser only left a small pit on Ah Fu’s robust body before it dissipated.

What did this mean? The two on the spot could not estimate Ah Fu’s strength, nor did they have the time to speculate. But how could their laser weapons, which could injure a Level 5 zombie, not even breach the defense?

This level of defense had clearly surpassed that of a Level 5 zombie; it could possibly be a Level 6 zombie!

But why would a Level 6 zombie appear at the survivor’s base?

"Retreat!"

Realizing that Ah Fu was the zombie that even their Mayor, Su Sigui, was wary of, they knew their own limits. A zombie of such caliber was not something they could handle. Recklessly advancing would only result in feeding their lives to the enemy. In the next instant, the two decided to retreat. They quickly withdrew their guns, carried their backpacks, and started to sprint!

Meanwhile, they were also yelling: "Zombie! Somebody help!"

They yelled with all their might, their shouts echoing across the entire Qinshan Base!

Ah Fu shook himself. His body was still undergoing changes with his rising anger. "Pop" sounds could be heard as hard muscles on his back tore open, revealing numerous terrifying bone spurs that continued to grow upward, too numerous to count. In no time, these protrusions surpassed Ah Fu’s shoulders. From afar, it looked like Ah Fu was carrying a mountain of bone spurs on his back!

He raised his sturdy arm; his claws were still stained with the fresh blood of his latest victim.

He opened his mouth and extended his tongue, licking the blood on his claw. The taste of blood trickled down his throat, spreading throughout his body, triggering the primal savagery within Ah Fu that had not yet fully manifested.

How could a zombie that just tasted fresh blood let its prey escape easily?

The suppressed force within him began to replenish itself. His body feverishly grew taller, expanding from three meters to a whopping six meters in a brief period!

Roar!

Roar after roar echoed from behind. Ah Fu’s expanding body caused his clothes to burst open, turning into a light mist that entered Ah Fu’s body.

The roar pierced the sky attracting many people’s attention. The two fleeing men turned ghostly white as Ah Fu’s roar echoed.

The bloodthirsty, brutal intent was like a sword stabbing into their minds causing fear to the remaining Bright Moon City soldiers, dashing any thoughts of resistance, and bringing pure terror.

Driven by the instinct to survive, it was as if an alarm bell rang in their minds. The hair on their necks stood up, and their bodies trembled, each cell screaming, telling their masters: "Run! Run! Faster! Faster!"

Their faces twisted in fear, cloaked in dread, with no outlet to vent. They could only direct their fear towards their peer.

"Run faster!"

"F*ck!"

People, in their fear, feel oppressed, and agitated. The only way to vent this pressure is to keep yelling or cursing.

The moment Ah Fu displayed the might of a Level 6 zombie, their fear overwhelmed them in an instant.

The two ran fast. Ah Fu, aware of his own limitations in speed, didn’t chase after them immediately. Instead, he gathered all his brute strength into his legs, then, bending his knees, Ah Fu leaped in the air like a human cannonball and landed in front of them at a speed that defied gravity!

"F*ck! Back off!"

One of them noticed Ah Fu’s intention and immediately tried to pull his peer back.

Boom!

Ah Fu’s body, gigantic as a beast, landed not too far in front of them. The ground shook and dust rose several meters high, covering both of them in a layer of grime.

Glimpsing back, they saw Ah Fu towering like a demon. His body was still growing menacingly. However, he hadn’t yet lost all reason, knowing that fully revealing himself would attract too much attention, resulting in him keeping his height around seven meters.
