As expected, the tattooed man didn’t get far before the spider’s huge backside swung, releasing a mass of white spider silk that accurately hit his face. He hadn’t even managed to tear it off his face when the spider swung its backside again, this time releasing a single strand.

This strand of spider silk quickly connected with the mass on the tattooed man’s face. As the spider swung its backside again, another mass of silk was shot onto the ceiling. Through this coordinated sequence of actions, the tattooed man was now hanging in the air, his legs suspended and writhing wildly.

Eventually, under the pressure of impending death, the tattooed man tore a part of the spider silk from his face revealing one eye. The first thing he saw was the girl beneath the window. Her gaze was cold and piercing, as if devoid of any emotion.

It was too late. The tattooed man’s heart ached, leaving him breathless. His whole life flashed before his eyes like a movie playing back, creating longing for the world.

Using up the last of his strength, the tattooed man muttered these words. Then, his head bowed slightly, revealing an eye wide-open, looking at his own chest. A spider limb had pierced through his flesh, with blood flowing vibrantly.

"Hehehe, dead! All dead, hahaha! You were just chasing me! Hahaha." The spider laughed wildly, withdrawing its limb, and a line of blood spurted from the tattooed man’s chest.

Moving its body around, the spider approached the girl, its wrinkly face almost brushing against her tender cheek.

"I like you so much, hahaha."

It stuck out its long tongue and licked the girl’s face, then viciously rubbed its head against her body while stroking her slim body continuously with its muddy hair, as if to claim her as its own.

As the spider moved around, its backside knocked into the wall behind, causing a large piece of rubble to fall. Outside hung bodies wrapped in spiders’ silk!

As if it was through playing, the spider gave a hearty laugh and lifted a front leg, intending to put the girl on its back. However, just as it was halfway through, it abruptly sensed a pause in its movements.

"Eh?"

The Spider let out a puzzled grunt. It sensed a hidden breath flash by.

"Could it be that another human came?"

It sensed the fleeting aura from the east. Putting the girl lying on its back, down on the ground, it moved closer to the wall to investigate. After a while, there was nothing. It ran to the other side of the wall.

But this time, as soon as the spider got close, there was a "crack" sound. Cracks emerged on the wall which shattered spontaneously, and a hand pierced through, grabbing a tuft of hair on the back of the spider’s neck.

"F*ck, I had a hell of a time looking for you!"

A man’s voice echoed from the other side of the wall, smooth as jade but with an icy undertone.

Boom!

The owner of the hand pulled down the whole wall with incredible strength. The spider had no time to comprehend what was happening, and before it knew it, the world was spinning around. It was flung with great force, landing hard beside the girl.

"F*ck, trying to run? Where do you think you’re going this time?"

The owner of the hand, gripping a steel rod, hoisted himself up. It was none other than Gao Shunan!

Hisss!

The spider let out a piercing shriek, a powerful aura radiating in the air around it. In an instant, it realized it was no match for the man before it. He was too strong!

Quick to react, the spider spewed silk, wrapping the girl and flinging her onto its back. It then crashed through the wall and flew downward.

"Don’t let it get away. Keep the girl for me, f*ck!"

Gao Shunan, grim-faced, pulled out his laser weapon, the Attack Dragon-03 type, and aimed it at the spider’s fat rear as he fired.

In mid-air, the spider was unable to evade. Gao Shunan’s attack was swift and ruthless. As its rear was hit by the red laser, inky red blood splattered everywhere in an instant, and its once massive rear lost a substantial chunk. Its innards were strewn all over the ground.

"Let’s go."

It clutched the girl’s body tightly, moving its crippled form in an attempt to escape, threatening the girl at the same time, "Better not try anything funny. If you throw up that thing, we’re both dead."

The girl didn’t respond. She merely tilted her head and stared blankly at the view flashing past them, as though a zombie at the mercy of others.

Level 5 New Humans are speedier than Level 4 New Humans by no small amount, the spider’s previous escape from Gao Shunan didn’t mean it could do so this time!

"Stop!"

The pursuing Gao Shunan roared behind them, his vital energy rising to the skies. The spider turned its head to see him following closely, like a nimble bird bounding along the ruins of the wall.

Panic nearly severed the spider’s soul from its body. Its limbs flailed even faster as it spewed silk periodically to accelerate. But no matter how fast it was, it couldn’t outrun a laser weapon, could it?

Before long, another ray of red light was shot. Although it didn’t hit its mark, the explosion’s shockwave propelled the spider into the air. By the time it landed, Gao Shunan was barely a foot away.

"Where do you think you’re going!"

With an elated look on his face, Gao Shunan started to transform due to his extreme excitement. His body inflated like a balloon. With a ripping sound, his clothing was torn apart by his expanding muscles, which surprisingly turned red!

He raised his hand. They were no longer human hands but turned into curved, sharp talons akin to eagle’s claws!

"Die!"

He roared ferociously, sounding similar to a zombie. Gao Shunan swiped down, easily piercing the spider’s body. But in its desperation, the spider jerked its crippled body and swung around, barely escaping. It showered all its silk, creating a massive cloud of white fluid that engulfed Gao Shunan in an instant. However, even then, Gao Shunan didn’t forget to keep a hold on the spider.

But by then, the spider was severely injured and absolutely incapable of breaking free from Gao Shunan’s grip.
