"Committed suicide...Hmm, I understand. You can go now and get things ready. Remember, at Xifeng Base, we must make this play convincing, or else that old fellow won’t fall for it."

"Yes, got it."

Xu Tianyu bent his body slightly, the killer gun on his back swaying with his movement, dripping a few drops of fresh blood which splattered like flowers on the ground.

Su Sigui laughed seductively, although his eyes were sinking ominously like cold water in a deep pond, the green dot on the screen in front of him seeming to represent Wen Yulong himself!

Meanwhile, thousands of miles away in Fengming City, a three-meter-long giant spider was carrying something, crashing through the window of a skyscraper and falling to the ground, causing rubble to scatter everywhere.

On closer inspection, the spider was carrying a finely dressed girl who was lying limply on its back, her frail body and pale face stirring pity.

"You go that way, I’ll chase after them."

All of the spider’s legs moved in sync, accelerating swiftly. Several shadows jumped down from the building behind it and safely landed on the ground.

An intimidating aura emanated from these individuals, who all seemed to be highly-ranked New Human Stronghouses.

For some reason, all of them looked invigorated, clutching their blades and chasing after the escaping spider.

Cackling~

The spider let out a bizarre sound; whether it was laughing or yawning was hard to tell.

"Keep chasing! I’ll kill you all! Ha ha ha."

The spider roared, dashing to a wall and embedding its foot blade into the wall with ease, before taking its massive body over the wall.

"Kill it!"

A New Human Stronghouse, no slower than the spider, brandished his knife and leapt into the air. Seeing the spider’s enormous buttocks filled him with excitement and he hacked straight down.

Unexpectedly, before his blade could make contact, the spider gave out a strange laugh followed by a forceful twist of its giant rear, spewing out a stream of white liquid.

"Damn!"

The man cried out; unable to dodge in mid-air, the white liquid scattered all over him.

"Damn it!"

The impact from the white liquid knocked the man dozens of meters backwards until he was stuck to a building’s wall.

Turns out, it wasn’t liquid, but the spider’s silk!

"What’s happening?" asked one of his companions.

The man, firmly trapped by the spider silk, stretched out a hand, looking very panicky.

"Quick, get me down."

"Oh, should we chase them first? Brother, you wait here, I’ll catch that monster and come back for you."

"F*ck you!"

His companion acted as if he did not understand, appearing sincere whilst turning to sprint after the spider.

As for the others, they acted as though they saw nothing, leaving behind the man swearing furiously from the wall.

"Over there, chase it!"

"Ha ha! Here I come!"

"Kill it!"

The group of New Humans looked like a gang of bandits, becoming so excited after seeing the spider that they almost lost their human appearance. It was as if the spider’s butt was too big to ignore.

The spider ignored the bandits’ cheering and continued to move quickly on all six legs, moving as smoothly as walking on roofs.

"Give me the gun!"

Seeing a corner ahead, the men felt urgent and quickly drew their guns. This spider was unlike any other monster; it emitted no detectable smell or aura. If it were to suddenly speed up after turning a corner, it might disappear without a trace, making it impossible to find again.

They hadn’t used their guns before for fear that the powerful lasers would also kill the ordinary human on the spider’s back. But now, if it escaped, they would get absolutely nothing.

They might as well risk everything with the laser weapons.

Zee~ Whizz!

Several of them took out their laser weapons and, maximizing the energy output, aimed straight at the prominent butt of the spider and fired.

Boom!

A red light exploded in the narrow alleyway, with fire and debris flying everywhere. The powerful men looked through the flames but found nothing. The strange creature had disappeared.

"Where did it go?"

"Damn! We lost it again!"

One of them noticed a footprint amid the rolling dust, an indication of the spider’s passage, and yelled out. The others were overjoyed and immediately rushed after it.

"Hey, it’s heading for the houses. Let’s see where it’ll run now."

The men grinned maliciously and one by one, followed the spider’s tracks into the houses.

What they didn’t know was that there was a deadly trap lying in wait for them!
