Chapter 583: Chapter 580 The Majestic Dragon Knight_1
"What happened over there? Why is there such a commotion?"
"I don’t know."
"Could it be a tsunami?"
"Are you spouting nonsense? The Qulong River is a river, where would a tsunami come from?"
"What was that just now?"
"Did you guys hear the roar? It was really frightening."
"Yeah, I heard it. Let’s get out of here though, God knows what kind of monsters have evolved in this day and age. I just want to get away from here as quickly as possible."
"Right right right."
"..."
On city streets, countless survivors in the midst of massive armies of the dead talked among themselves. Their hearts were burdened with a heavy mood. The world was becoming ever more unreasonable. They could still stomach Level 1 and Level 2 zombies but the sheer size of Level 3, Level 4 and even higher-level zombies could only induce terror.
Many survivors had been chased by some gigantic high-level zombies while out looking for food. The powerful zombies that were seven or eight meters tall made a "thud thud thud" sound with every step they took. Not panicking while being chased by them would be strange.
And the scariest part is, it’s uncertain how big these zombies could evolve into. Moreover, there were also some incredibly fast zombies and mutant zombies with unusual abilities.
While some survivors were still puzzled over the disturbance that had just occurred, they heard another low growl. At that moment, a fire had ignited a nearly hundred-meter-tall building. The massive flames lit up half of the sky.
Between the gaps in the buildings, they saw a colossal silhouette. Its glossy scales reflecting the blaze of the fire. The survivors were stunned, unable to believe their own eyes.
"Look over there, it’s huge..."
"Damn! A giant creature!"
"Ma De, how are we supposed to survive?"
The survivors gaped in shock, doubting if they’d been transported back to the Jurassic era. How could such massive creatures exist?
The driver who had spotted a portion of the zombie dragon instantly pressed down on the accelerator, speeding up. Nobody wanted to get caught by a prehistoric behemoth!
Due to the panic triggered by the sighting, the horde of zombies seized their chance. Some of the survivor convoys were flipped over by the immense horde, and the people inside were instantly torn to shreds.
The zombie dragon spat out a chunk of flesh, then lowered its head to pick up the corpse of this monster and tossed it to the shore. Tang Ye took a look and found it strangely familiar.
After giving it some thought, Tang Ye felt unsure. Wasn’t this creature located in the polar regions? How did it end up here?
He approached with Niu Xiaosan, and indeed, it was a Water Guanyin. However, unlike the one Yaztec filmed, the Water Guanyin zombie here was a far cry in terms of size.
"Drag it up."
Tang Ye shouted at the zombie dragon. It obediently picked up the Water Guanyin zombie and brought it over to Tang Ye. Sniffing it, Tang Ye tried to determine its level and after finding out the truth, his face took on a strange expression.
"What the hell? This big guy is only level 4?"
Tang Ye was baffled. The hundred-meter-tall Water Guanyin zombie in the polar region was only level 6. So the large size of this level 4 Water Guanyin seemed reasonable.
However, on closer thought, Tang Ye began to feel uneasy. If the level 6 Water Guanyin was that large, then the zombie dragon, this...
Tang Ye glanced at the zombie dragon. Even though it was close to two hundred meters long at its level 6 stage, its body was long. In comparison to the level 6 Water Guanyin, the zombie dragon resembled a 1.5-meter snake.
Given such a disparity in size, just how powerful would the Level 6 Water Guanyin be?
As Tang Ye was lost in thought, Niu Xiaosan started screaming in fright: "Master, look over there!"
"Shut up!"
Tang Ye looked back and saw Niu Xiaosan pointing at a place from where the toll station was towards their direction. At the place where Niu Xiaosan pointed, several survivor convoys were driving towards them. They had already burst through the zombie horde and were on the highway. At the same time, countless zombies were flooding towards the Qulong River Bridge!
"Let’s go."
Perhaps it was about time, the horizon was turning moon-white and one could see the surroundings more clearly. But this clarity only made the sight of the dense and terrifyingly large horde of zombies even more uncomfortable.
Tang Ye pulled Niu Xiaosan, leaped into the air, and then jumped towards the bottom of the Qulong River Bridge. The survivors driving towards them watched Tang Ye’s movements with their mouths agape. But as the huge splash of water hit the bridge, they witnessed a sight they would never forget in their entire lives.
The massive head of the zombie dragon broke through, knocking off a part of the bridge. And just like that, it seemed like time slowed down before their very eyes. The dragon’s head gradually lifted, its white zombie eyes exuded an aura of bloodlust and fierceness, firmly focused on each of the convoys.
They felt the oppressive atmosphere around them, making it difficult to breathe. Those eyes were terrifying, and it felt like the air around them was about to freeze.
On top of the dragon’s head, Tang Ye and Niu Xiaosan, who had just jumped off with Niu Xiaosan, were standing. They blankly watched the group of survivors, seemingly mocking them for still scurrying about for survival like rats.
Seeing Tang Ye’s gaze, many people involuntarily lowered their heads. That man seemed like a god, and when ordinary people saw a god, they would automatically feel a sense of inferiority.
"He’s a human...why is he standing on... "
"Who is that person?"
"...."
People quietly watched the figure standing on the dragon’s head from a distance of hundreds of meters. Even from so far away, they seem to sense the extraordinary aura exuding from Tang Ye.
They exchanged glances with their teammates as they blankly watched. Yet, Tang Ye did not stay for long. The dragon roared towards the sky and then twisted and writhed upwards. Its majestic and ancient dragon form in the sky was like a masterpiece of an exquisite dragon painting!
A thunderous dragon roar echoed between heaven and earth, audible to everyone, but no one could touch it. Niu Xiaosan waved his arms on the dragon’s head. The feeling of being the center of attention was too exhilarating, especially when people looked at them with indescribable gazes. His sense of inferiority almost felt like it was about to explode.
"Boss, being a dragon knight is so damn awesome!"
Tang Ye glanced at him, said nothing, but he had to admit, he shared Niu Xiaosan’s sentiment.
In a place unknown to Tang Ye, on top of a building, there was a small house made of red bricks. The exterior walls were covered in green vines. Amidst the falling snow, a delicately dressed girl sat idly on a pink chair. She stared blankly at the sky until a gigantic dragon soared across the moonlit sky. Only then did a ripple appear in her eyes.
"That is..." Her hand lifted slightly, but she seemed to lack the strength to keep it raised, slowly, she lowered it again.
She didn’t finish her words when the door was opened.
"My princess, here I am. You are so beautiful..."
