Because he noticed that his assimilated zombies could see their previous kind, along with the fact that he hates these annoying guys, he stopped his mischief and started catching Evil Spirit zombies and forcefully assimilating them!

He did this just to create more Silver Armor zombies which he could fully control, so he could massively slaughter the Evil Spirit zombies.

Since Evil Spirit zombies are also zombies, they can’t be infected a second time. The mutated anti-life substance in Tang Ye’s body only stays in their bodies, not actively devouring the cells of the Evil Spirit zombies. Therefore, Tang Ye could only slowly evolve and assimilate with the anti-life substance within him, a process that takes a long time. It was only today that he assimilated around a hundred Silver Armored Evil Spirit zombies.

Just then, a Level 5 Evil Spirit zombie rushed in, igniting his fury. For the past month, he should have been looking for Nannan and the others, but he was constantly disrupted by these Bald Ghosts. Now, Tang Ye had accepted that Nannan and the others might have encountered misfortune, concluding that they were now dead.

The more he thought about it, the angrier he got, and a mix of anger and frustration filled his heart. This followed with the commanding sound he made, and all the Silver Armored zombies started furiously attacking the Evil Spirit zombies!

"They’re being controlled by those damned things. Stop talking, just follow me."

Tang Ye simply said, intending to take Qiongli and Bai Xinran with him. However, Qiongli interjected. "Wait, she..."

Qiongli was clearly speaking of Bai Xinran.

Tang Ye frowned at the sight of Bai Xinran’s shaky standing posture and blood at the corner of her mouth, suggesting that she was injured.

Carrying a woman while running is not something he was accustomed to. In his lifetime, he had never carried anyone before. Let alone a woman. Of course, this does not include corpses.

"This..."

"Can I leave with you guys? I can carry her."

"And me!"

Then, a woman came down the stairs. It was the woman who had brought food to Qiongli and her group. Following her was another voice, a man who looked to be in his mid-twenties and who Qiongli recognized as her savior.

The truck’s door was open, revealing a half-torso-less body inside. Blood and flesh was strewn all over the ground, a sight that could upset anyone’s stomach. This gruesome death could only have been caused by the Evil Spirit zombies.

It’s possible that an ill-fated survivor who didn’t have time to cover their eyes just happened to see an Evil Spirit zombie as they got on the truck.

"Damn, there’s..."

Suddenly, the woman pointed towards an empty space with a terrified expression. At the same moment, the man that had saved Qiongli fired off a shot in response.

A puff of green smoke appeared from seemingly thin air.

"It’s not dead! It’s coming here!"

"I see it!"

Qiongli obviously saw it too, shooting at the monster that just revealed itself. Only then did it fall.

"Hurry up!"

Tang Ye urged. The number of Silver Armored zombies he had assimilated was limited. Only ten or so were wandering around the streets. Most were still carrying out his commands, so very few could give him a visual.

Most of the time, he could only rely on his own eyes, which made him quite passive. He had no idea how many Evil Spirit zombies were on these streets. What if there were several right next to him?

The thought was terrifying indeed.

"Damn it!"

He licked his teeth in frustration, looking at a Level 5 Silver Armored Zombie that had just been released by him and was currently massacring other survivors.

The zombie turned towards Tang Ye when it sensed him. Seeing him tilt his chin slightly, it immediately took action.

Being carried by Qiongli, Bai Xinran pointed at a direction where they saw four to five three-meter-tall, slender, white Evil Spirit zombies.

Before she could finish her sentence, a gargantuan Silver Armored Zombie leapt out of nowhere, crushing three Evil Spirit zombies. Following that, black mist swirled around it, forming thousands of crescent-shaped black mist blades which whizzed out in all directions. At the same time, a thick column of black mist swept out from its mouth!

Green mist in the air started to corrode and reveal their shapes. Tang Ye slashed through several black mist crescents with the flesh and blood blade in his hand, and then kicked away the Silver Armored Zombie that had come to their aid. Grabbing the others, he moved towards the modified truck.

Just as a few fully-armed survivors stepped out of their door intending to get in the truck and leave, they saw that Tang Ye and his group had already boarded. Before they could react, they hit the accelerator, "Vroom", and zoomed out!

"F*ck!"

"You motherf*cker!"

The survivors cursed, shooting at the truck, but the vehicle’s defenses were too strong to stop them. All they could do was watch as Tang Ye drove recklessly away.

Fuming with rage, just as they were cursing at the group in the truck, a Silver Armored Zombie jumped on the truck roof. They couldn’t help but laugh seeing that.
