I am the Zombie King of the Apocalyptic World
Chapter 542 - 539: Extreme North Zombie King Water Guanyin 3_1

Chapter 542: Chapter 539: Extreme North Zombie King Water Guanyin 3_1

In his mind, he was thinking about Russia’s situation and what was happening in the other corners of the world. Yaztec looked back, the fishermen had once again cast their large nets. Looking back at the sea surface, whether it was from the excitement of seeing the place that appeared in his dream, or the gradually increasing sense of oppression and panic, his heart felt very stifled, his hand involuntarily touching his chest.

At this moment, he was contemplating again, the oceans on Earth take up seventy percent while land only occupies less than thirty percent. Given this, since a terrifying White-haired Zombie King emerged in China, would there be something similar existing in the ocean?

The world’s ocean area brushes close to three times more than the land. Now there was already a Zombie King in China, coupled with the abundant resources in the ocean, whether they were evolved fish or zombie fish, their rate of evolution is related to their diet, which is clear from the fish the fishermen caught.

From one catch, ten to twenty percent were evolved creatures, while land-dwelling Level 1 New Humans were distressingly few. Although the chance of turning from a regular person into a New Human went from an initial 0.3% to 4%, it’s still too few. Out of the over seven billion people worldwide, such probability seems significantly high, but, the moment Apocalypse comes, nearly seventy percent of humanity became zombies, immediately halving the rate amongst the remaining humans.

Each organism, whether they’ve zombified or evolved, won’t possess the same strength. Take for example humans and an elephant, if humans and elephants both evolved to Level 1 at the same time, a human would lose due to their size.

A human evolved to Level 1 still wouldn’t win against an unevolved elephant. In cities, some zombies have evolved to Level 3 or Level 4 with huge bodies. In particular, there is a Level 4 zombie leopard on the Lan Ou Continent that is ten meters long and four meters tall, what more if those gigantic creatures in the ocean?

If even a leopard could be like that, the giant creatures in the ocean would probably be even more terrifying!

Hypothesizing this, Yaztec’s pressure increased to the level that he experienced in his dream. It was this sensation, the rolling yet calm waves in the ocean that gave him an illusion that there are incredibly massive creatures lurking beneath!

Recalling the zombie fish that the fishermen caught, his heart trembled and he started to let his imagination run wild.

"How deep is this sea? If all this water disappeared, would we fall to our deaths? It’s an abyss!"

Inside the blue sea, if you look carefully you can see the darkness in the depths. No one knows what kinds of monsters are hiding in the sea. If there was a terrifying giant beast in the sea depths, wouldn’t they be doomed?

Yaztec does not know why he is thinking of such things, but just looking at the sea surface made his heart involuntarily tremble. And he understood, this is thalassophobia and megalophobia.

But he never had these syndromes before. He had been out to sea with the fishermen a few times and he never felt this kind of fear.

He had a vague feeling of foreboding. He sensed that if the boat didn’t leave, everyone onboard would be in danger, but seeing how happy the fishermen were and how carefully they were examining the fish, he hesitated.

Wouldn’t he be considered a lunatic if he impulsively told them that there was danger here? Yaztec did not want to be thought of in that way, so he suppressed his strange feeling.

"Maybe I’m just being paranoid."

Consoling himself like this, but as the people once again pulled the large net from the water, there was a commotion among the fishermen.

"What’s going on? All zombie fish!"

"Oh, my god!"

"Mine’s also filled entirely with zombie fish, how about yours?"

"Same here!"

"Today is really unlucky!"

"Could we have entered a zone populated by zombie fish?"

"Impossible, right?"

The fishermen looked annoyed as if they had encountered the most unfortunate thing in the world, all the dozens of nets they’ve cast were filled with zombie fish, and none of them dared to release them back into the sea.

The fishermen were cursing while collecting the overflowing nets of zombie fish, then hanging them on the ship’s hull. They went inside to fetch new nets, preparing to cast them in a different sea area.

The reason why they didn’t release the zombie fish was because they would infect other uninfected fish. Zombie fish had no use for humans, but allowing them to run free and infect everywhere would indirectly harm the fishermen’s profits. They surely wouldn’t like it if they caught only zombie fish in the future.

With the mentality of being able to kill one is still one less, the fishermen would kill the zombie fish on the spot. If there were too many, they would take them back and burn them all at once!

Yaztec, who noticed the commotion on the side, felt a tremor in his heart. The strange feeling was once again striking him, feeling even stronger than before. He looked at the boat for a while, then quickly went to find the uncle from before.

"Uncle Lang Kulu, perhaps we should leave."

"Oh? Why?" Lang Kulu looked at him curiously.

Yaztec took a deep breath and said, "I keep having this bad feeling. Maybe it’s just an illusion."

"Hahaha, don’t worry too much. I’ve felt the same way before, you’ll get used to it."

"Oh, I hope so."

Hearing Lang Kulu’s unconcerned voice, Yaztec lost his confidence in convincing him, no one would believe a young man’s intuition.

Time passed quickly, with the disturbance in Yaztec’s heart fluctuating all the while, the people finally welcomed the third net pulling.

This time around was worse than the previous net pull. Not only did they pull up zombie fish in droves, but also dozens of Level 3 evolved fish. Their huge bodies were shaking in the large net, but the material made to create the net was special. Most of the Level 3 zombie fish were only as strong as Level 1 New Humans. Only one zombie fish, which was some large type of evolved fish, was shaking the net fiercely from left to right.

Among the nets pulled up at the bow of the ship, a zombie fish the size of a car roared continuously. The fishermen raised their voices, thrusting their long harpoons.

"Oh! Damn it!"

"This awful day! Can anyone tell me what the hell is going on?"

"Everyone, quickly kill it! If it continues like this, the hook is going to break!"

"Ulla!"

Dark red blood laced with streaks of yellow flowed from the zombie fish, staining a large area of seawater. The pungent smell started to spread, causing Yaztec’s eyebrows to twitch. But when he turned around, he realized that the scene he was looking at was eerily similar to his dream.

His feeling told him, "Yes! This is the place!"

Right now, he just wanted to pick up the camera, press the shutter quickly, and then leave as soon as possible. With a flash of the flashbulb, a "click" rang out, and Yaztec took back the camera and started checking it out.

Although he wasn’t a professional photographer, he still strived for perfection. But when he looked, he noticed that a red line appeared along the horizon in the photo!

"What’s that?"

He looked up, only to see that the red line had expanded.

"Everyone, look over there!"
