Chapter 249: Chapter 251: Warrior_1
Feng Bing clenched his fists and stepped forward, while Li Qiao grabbed the broom next to her and started hitting randomly.
Feng Bing, enduring the pain, moved forward to grab her.
Li Qiao retreated while shouting loudly, "Indecency, he’s being indecent..."
Upon hearing the words "being indecent," Feng Bing suddenly snapped out of it, opened the door to run away, and ran straight into Yu Feng, who was prying the door open to join the excitement. He knocked Yu Feng down, causing her to tumble.
"Ouch! Which damned fool came out without looking?"
Li Qiao followed behind and said coldly, "Your son! He tried to molest me."
"Nonsense! It’s definitely you trying to seduce him," Yu Feng snapped, getting up and pointing at Li Qiao’s nose, calling her a vixen.
Feng Bing took the opportunity to run back home.
"Just wait! I’ll go find Jin right away and let him deal with him." Li Qiao had no idea where Qin Jin was, so she was just putting on an act.
Yu Feng, worried that making a big deal out of this wouldn’t end well, hurriedly stopped her and tried to smooth things over, "It must be a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding." Concerned about drawing more attention, she dragged Li Qiao into the yard.
Li Qiao shook off Yu Feng’s hand, "It’s not a misunderstanding, your Feng Bing tried to molest me."
Yu Feng slapped her thigh, "Oh my, for heaven’s sake, keep it down, will you?" She added, "Aren’t you afraid that if word gets out, people will gossip about you and Qin Jin will disdain you?"
"Disdain whom?" Old Mrs. Qin entered the yard holding a big fish.
Yu Feng’s heart tightened, "No, nobody." She looked at Li Qiao with a pleading expression, "Qiaoqiao, I’ll be leaving first then. If there’s anything, let’s talk privately," then she hurried away.
Old Mrs. Qin looked at Yu Feng oddly, "What was she here for?"
Li Qiao: "She came to ask about something."
Yu Feng, once out the door, let out a sigh of relief, thinking to herself that she had thought Li Qiao would be more bold.
Even if my son did something to you, you can’t do anything to him.
With this thought in mind, she walked away with her head held high and chest puffed out.
Old Mrs. Qin: "She wasn’t asking about the kids, was she?"
"Hmm," Li Qiao vaguely replied, "Where did the fish come from?"
Old Mrs. Qin’s attention shifted to the fish and she said with a smile, "Fugui’s dad gave it, we salted some before the new year. I said I didn’t want it, but he insisted I take it. We’ll make some fish soup to drink later."
Li Qiao: "Isn’t it said that one shouldn’t eat meat on the first day of the new year?"
"Right, right, you take it when you visit relatives tomorrow."
"Let’s just make the fish soup for ourselves," Li Qiao was reluctant to give away such a big fish.
It should still be sent to Dong Lamei.
No matter how much you give that woman, it’s useless. She had to sever the relationship, but she needed to think of a foolproof way to do it without letting the other party continually hold the favor of raising her over her head.
"..."
.....
After returning home, the more Feng Bing thought about it, the more afraid he felt. He planned to apologize to Li Qiao when Old Mrs. Qin went out again, but Yu Feng assured him vehemently, "Don’t worry, even if something did happen, Li Qiao wouldn’t dare let it out."
Feng Bing was still worried and spent the entire afternoon anxious and on edge, listening attentively to any movement from next door.
At dusk, Qin Jin came back.
After waiting for half an hour and hearing Qin Jin say he was going out to play, Feng Bing finally relaxed.
But Qin Jin not looking for him emboldened his courage and ambition.
Since Li Qiao dare not speak out, it’s a waste not to take what’s being offered.
Remembering that Li Qiao had a habit of getting up in the night, he waited at the end of the alley, hoping she would walk right into his trap.
Wait until she came to the end of the alley, then he would grab her and have his way, to satisfy his craving.
After freezing for about half an hour, he finally heard footsteps in the alley.
They were light, probably Li Qiao.
Waiting for her to reach the exit of the alley, he went up and hugged her from behind, "Qiaoqiao, you can’t escape now!" But then he realized something was off. The waist was indeed slender, but the back, why was it wide?
He looked up.
His eyes, cold and bright, met Qin Jin’s hazy features. Before he could speak,
Qin Jin lifted his leg.
And hit him square.
He yelped, only to be muffled by Qin Jin turning around and covering his mouth.
"Damn it! Qiaoqiao? On my turf, you molest my woman? You must have the gall of a bear and the boldness of a leopard!" Qin Jin burned with rage, thanking his stars it was him who went to the outhouse. Had it been his beautiful wife, what then—how lucky was he? He tied the man to a tree behind the house, took off his shoes, tied them together, hung them around his neck, went home to fetch ink, and scrawled all over him, then went back to sleep soundly.
....
Next day, Li Qiao went to the toilet.
When he reached the end of the lane, he exclaimed in surprise.
Feng Bing was tied to a tree behind his own house, head drooping, with eight characters written on him: lecherous in the east, cheap in the west, slutty in the south, horny in the north.
Who did this?
Such a talent for cursing.
Described it to a tee.
"Help, save me." Feng Bing had been frozen all night, his lips turning blue. Hearing footsteps, he raised his head, mouth stuffed with a rag, making it difficult to speak, his muffled voice pleading for help.
Li Qiao, needing to pee, ran off.
No sooner had he arrived home,
did Peng Chunhua come out, and without a doubt spotted Feng Bing, screaming: "Who did this? Somebody help, come quick!" She rushed to call for help and to untie him.
But the knots on Feng Bing’s back were as tight as iron locks; she couldn’t undo them.
By then, the startled neighbors had arrived.
Each one showing a shocked expression, "How did this happen? Who did this?"
"Loser Qin did it," Feng Bing said weakly.
Old Mrs. Qin and Li Qiao also joined the gathering crowd.
The grandmother and grandson both exclaimed in unison: "Nonsense!"
Old Mrs. Qin: "My good grandson was playing cards till late last night, went straight to sleep when he got back, and hasn’t woken up yet."
Li Qiao: "He’s trying to smear Jin’s reputation." She had meant to tell Qin Jin about yesterday’s incident, but Old Mrs. Qin was there during dinner, so it wasn’t a good time to speak. Later, when Qin Jin came back and she had woken up just about to mention it, he excitedly told her he had won more than ten bucks playing cards, so smug that she didn’t have the heart to ruin his mood and held back.
So Qin Jin didn’t know about Feng Bing’s lecherous act, where did the idea of him cleaning up come from then?
She added a sentence: "It must be Feng Dafa who offended one too many people and got his comeuppance."
"Probably, and look at those words," Old Mrs. Qin chuckled secretly, admiring the brave soul who did this. Such talent.
Yu Feng wailed like it was the end of the world: "Frozen all night, what a misery. The heartless bastard who did this, may he die as soon as he steps outside, and if he ever has a son, may the boy be born without an asshole." She cursed while observing the expressions of Old Mrs. Qin and Li Qiao, who seemed to pay no heed.
Could it truly not have been Loser Qin?
After Feng Bing was untied and helped away, the grandmother and grandson returned home.
Old Mrs. Qin called Qin Jin to get up: "We’re heading back to Qiaoqiao’s maternal home today, don’t sleep too late, or we’ll be delayed."
Qin Jin, still sleepy, "Got it."
Old Mrs. Qin: "Did you hear the commotion outside? Why aren’t you asking what happened?" The young man always enjoyed watching others’ drama; his calmness today was unusual. Surely it wasn’t really him?
"What happened outside?" Qin Jin yawned.
"Feng Bing was tied to a tree. It’s hilarious, you have no idea how talented the person who tied him up is." Li Qiao mentioned the eight characters written on Feng Bing and then burst into laughter.
Qin Jin joined in the laughter: "Probably some bachelor couldn’t hold back any longer and teased someone’s wife, and got his just deserts."
Li Qiao agreed, "Seems likely." She thought it over and still chose not to bring up yesterday’s event. With the New Year festivities, she worried that Qin Jin would get angry, barge over to the other man’s place, and cause a serious incident, inviting trouble.
