Chapter 425: The Martells V

(Drakken’s POV)

[Some Days Later]

"So, it is done?" Elia asked me as she walked up to me

I was sitting down on a reclined chair, looking up at the sky as the sun shone down at me, "It is." I said, "Your sister is resting, as she deserves."

"It took days to get it done?" She asked

"Nah." I said, "It only takes one good night. The other nights, it was nothing but pure pleasure. Tyene deserves to be treated like a woman. And I treated her like one, before she performs her duty, that is."

"I see." She said as she stood there, "I am surprised....."

"Hm." I crossed my arms, "And your lover?"

"What?" She asked, a bit surprised, "What do you mean?"

"That man, Tristeyn, his name was?" I said, "Where is he?"

"Why do you want to know?" She asked

"Well, I wanted to put a child in you instead." I said, "But you were taken, were you not?"

"I mean..." she said, "That is true. But Tristeyn is currently handling some issues. Nothing you should concern yourself with, My Lord."

"Hm." I said, "I don’t really care. Tyene is mine now, you’d do well to remember that. You will write to me when she is confirmed to be with child and I will come and visit her."

"Very well." She said, "I trust you might be busy? You have new sons to care for, after all."

"Yea, that’s correct." I said, "The twins were quite the surprise. But there is much to do, that’s the truth."

"Right....." She said, "I’ve been hearing unsettling rumors. In the East."

"Perhaps, I’ve heard the same rumors." I told her, "What is it?"

"Well, ever since the sudden emergence of more wild dragons." She said, "There has been a sighting of some flying over Dorne, heading further south. I don’t know where they’ve gone, if I am being honest. But there are those saying those dragons have been spotted in Essos, near the ruins of Old Valyria."

"Hm." I said, "So you say. Those rumors aren’t rumors. There are many more dragons than there used to be. I made it so for a specific reason. Which I must thank you for reminding me that I have to go and check on the Cannibals."

"No, those aren’t the rumors." Elia said seriously, "There are whispers....whispers that state that some individuals have been sighted, individuals with white hair and purple eyes...."

"Valyrians." I said

"Not just any valyrian." She said, "I cannot confirm these rumors, but the whispers say that these valyrians descend from long-dead Houses of Old Valyria. But not like House Celtigar or House Velaryon. No.....one of the forty, My Lord."

"Dragonlords." I said as I leaned my head on my hand, "What of it?"

"Is it not something you want to look into?" She asked me, "These rumors?"

"Intriguing, to say the least." I told her, "But...nothing that actually concerns me."

"I understand." She said softly, "Well, if anything comes up, I’ll be sure to let you know."

"Good." I said, "If you excuse me..."

I stood up and walked past her as I patted my sleeves.

"My Lord?" She asked

"I have some errands to run here in the sands before I leave." I said as I looked at her,

"The Red Cult is nearly dead."

"I...." Maegor said as he knelt down, "I’ve hunted down the remaining highborn cunts that are allied with the cult. Their heads are mounted on spikes, Lord Drakken."

I was in Yronwood, where he was based. The entire castle was turned into his base of operations whilst he still held the servants hostage, to an extent. I had told him not to treat them badly and to give them a good reason to convert to the Trinity.

"Good." I said, "I take it there could be a bit of backlash from their houses?"

"I will handle them myself if it comes to that." He looked at me, "I give you my word."

"I want results, Maegor." I said, "Not half-assed bullshit. You hear me? I want the rest of the Red Priests to be destroyed. I don’t want any mention of the Lord of Light in these sands. Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes." He said

"Another thing." I said as I began to pace about in the courtyard where we were standing, "There is another little task for not just you but the other commanders who aren’t focused on the Dust."

"What is it?" He asked

I stopped and looked at him, "When the Red Cult is dead....." I started, "I want every man and woman who has preyed on a child to be taken and have them executed."

"When you say preyed....." He said with a frown, "Do you mean.....?"

"Yes." I nodded, "That."

"I see." He said, "I will see to it that it is done. But after the Red Cult has been dealt with."

"Yes, only after." I said as I turned to face him, "In the meantime, you can have this."

I snapped my fingers and suddenly a black swirling orb appeared above my hand as a grey dragon egg emerged from it.

I caught the egg and tossed it towards him, watching as he caught it in his hands.

"W-What?" he said, "And this is?"

"Your dragon." I said, "It’ll hatch within two weeks, and the beast will grow to a proper size to be ridden within a month."

"When I asked for a dragon." He started, "I meant a large one already with experience."

"Be grateful I am giving you a dragon." I said with a scowl, "I modified that one specifically for you. It will serve as a proper weapon for you, Maegor. But make no mistake, that dragon was created by me.....and it has several installed directives that will prevent you from ever making a move against me and House Drakkengard. Do I make myself clear?"

"Well...." Maegor started, "You could have allowed me to go and claim a dragon."

"Oh, you can’t do that." I said, "See, of all the resurrected people, you are the one I’ve tampered with the most. You cannot claim a dragon, Maegor. You are incapable of doing so. This dragon in particular, will be automatically bound to you. But any other dragon? Forget about it. Take it or leave it."

"R-Right....." Maegor said as he looked at the egg, "T-This will do...."

"Keep it up." I said seriously, "If you keep serving me.....your other reward might come."

"Resurrecting that woman..."
