Chapter 999
When Alexander Foster went to pay, he took a few cups of local specialty milk tea back and handed them to her, "Have them with your friends."
Just as she was about to reach out and take them, Alexander suddenly lowered his hand, "I’ll walk you up."
She stood up, "Okay."
They took the elevator together and arrived at the front of her room.
"Go in. I’ll leave once I see you go in."
Chloe Collins took the milk tea and said, "Good night."
She pulled out the card key, and went inside.
The velvet softness in his eyes gradually faded as the door closed. He reverted back to his usual aloof demeanor and calmly walked towards the elevator.
His phone rang.
The person on the other end anxiously spoke in the local language, "An hour has passed, Mr. Foster, it’s time for you to return!"
-
Chloe Collins returned with five cups of milk tea and placed them on the table.
"Just take it if you want."
She didn’t specify who she was speaking to.
In the room, Wanda Wesley and Raine Nolan were both reading.
Hearing her words, both instinctively looked up.
Wanda commented, "Great, I was just thinking of going down to buy some. Do you have alcohol?"
Chloe passed her a bottle, "No."
She glanced at Wanda, this girl had lost quite a bit of weight recently.
She no longer needed to hide in her shell, and everyone asked her for dieting secrets when they saw her.
But she didn’t seem bothered by this.
She didn’t ask, so Chloe didn’t probe further.
Wanda took a large sip of milk tea, the sound of her swallowing was full of satisfaction.
Suddenly, there was a loud pop.
Raine Nolan from next door frowned and looked over, "Could you go eat outside? I need to study."
Wanda replied coolly, "No."
"Why are you so selfish?"
"I learned it from you," She replied.
Raine looked angrily at Chloe Collins, who was picking out clothes, apparently preparing to take a bath.
Her eyes then landed on the four milk teas.
Annoyed, she picked up her phone and quickly sent a message to someone.
Not long after, she left with her book in hand.
As she was leaving, Chloe’s indifferent voice called out, "It’s not safe outside, don’t run around."
Raine scoffed, slamming the door behind her.
About an hour later, their door was loudly knocked.
Wanda went to open the door.
As soon as she opened it, Sherry Sullivan hurried inside and then quickly closed the door behind her.
"Chloe Collins, Chloe Collins!"
Chloe turned her head to look at her indifferently.
"Come out quickly and help Raine. She accidentally offended the locals and they took her away. You’re so powerful, go and rescue her, she’s still your sister."
Chloe lied back in her bed and picked up her book, "Sorry, I can’t."
"How can you do this? Aren’t you the boss of Fire? How can the leader of such a big organization not have any power?"
Wanda was silently shocked, astonished.
Sherry had inadvertently let the cat out of the bag, but it was too late.
About an hour ago, Raine texted her that she was going to eat and stroll around, so they both went downstairs.
Aside from the hotel surroundings, there were barely any people elsewhere.
Raine had read the guide, and wanted to go to the river, so she dragged Sherry with her.
When they got there, they suddenly saw many people lying on the ground, like beggars.
Their dazzling clothes and obvious Asian features made them stick out like a sore thumb.
